I agree that alcohol is the major culprit. I do disagree that individual Americans are any more violent than any other nationality. I and all my U.S. friends do not carry knives or guns. Not sure what Americans you hang around. I do concede (and lament) that the U.S. has too many guns and should regulate their availability. -
