  1. You should also check the exchange rate, it is often 3% or lower than WISE resulting in higher fees
  2. If you contact WISE and have them tag your account and select "longterm stay", it shows as a foreign transfer. If there is a glitch, then you can get a statement from the intermediary bank (FET) which Thai immigration will accept for yearly extensions. There is a WISE forum on Facebook which can answer specific questions. Just search "WISE (former Transferwise)"
  3. I don't think Thai embassies allow visits for visas in the U.S.; everything is done online and passports are mailed. The easiest option (in my opinion) is to arrive visa exempt and convert to a 3 month Non O and then after 2 months extend for one year. Easy to do yourself no agent necessary.

For an extension, they will accept THB 65,000 monthly for 12 months or THB 800,000 in a Thai bank.
