  1. Shocking that not everyone has the same result.
  2. There are exceptions where online won't work. e.g. your first 90 days teport
  3. You acknowledge in your first post that you entered on a visa exempt, but then you continue to call it visa on arrival. The correct terminology is important for members to give you correct advise.
  4. Last 30 days and 45 days in some offices...cannot do at 90 days
  5. I agree about applying within Thailand but it can be done without an agent. Not that difficult.
  6. The agent fees seem high to me. If a person decides to use an agent, so be it. I have done 12 years of extension without paying an agent. It is doable.
  7. Do you think knowing what a slide rule makes you smarter than others ? It just makes you older than most. I don't think you are correct in putting people down who have never been exposed to a slide rule, they are just from another generation. No better, no worse.
  8. Yes. You can apply for the 3 month Non O on your original entry without extension. As long as you have 30 days or less but not less than 15 days.
  9. Please be aware that for Chaeng Wattana and most other immigration offices in Thailand, you can not use the THB 65,000 monthly transfer to have a Non O issued. Immigration only has 2 options : THB 800,000 in a Thai bank or a letter from your Embassy which most no longer do. You can use the monthly THB 65,000 for a one year extension but not to have a 3 month Non O
  10. My experience also. No flooding issues. It only took me 1 1/2 hours to get my Non O retirement extended for 1 year
  11. I always think it is hilarious when farang call for the deportation of other farang from Thailand. Must you be reminded that you are a visitor here; you do not set Thai policy nor do you have any authority. Live and let live.
  12. My Non O expired while I was in the U.S. and locked out of Thailand due to COVID restrictions, I continued to make monthy transfers of THB 65,000+ . Once I returned on a visa exempt, I went to Chaeng Wattana with a 12 month bank statemen and bankbook showing these monthly transfers. CW would not issue a Non O ...they only accepted THB 800,000 in a Thai bank or a letter from my embassy which they no longer do.
  13. I arrived back to Thailand after Covid lockout on a visa exemption. I had 12 months of monthly intl transfers into my Thai bank. Chaeng Wattana would not accept the monthly transfers to issue a 3 month Non O. The only two options was THB in a Thai bank or a letter from my home embassy if they were providing. Just FYI I arrived bank to Thailand after 18 months of lockout on a visa exempt. While away, I continued to make monthly THB 65,000 intl transfers to my Thai bank. However at Chaeng Wattana they will not accept monthly transfers to issue a 3 month Non O; there only options was the full THB 800,000 in a Thai bank or a letter from my embassy if they were still issuing. Chaeng Wattana will accept monthly transfers for Non O extensions but NOT for Non O issuance. Beware
  14. The visa on arrival at the airport is for some.countries who do not qualify for visa exempt. If your friend wanted a 60 day tourist visa; he needed to apply at a Thai embassy or online before arriving Thailand
  15. I had to go there 3 times over the last 2 months and the taxi was never more than 100 baht with meter
  16. I don't know what immigration office you use, but Chaeng Wattana in Bangkpk does not accept 12 months of THB 65,000 to support the issuance of a Non O. They will only accept THB 800,000 in a Thai banl. You can renew a Non O with monthly THB 65,000 or THB 800,000
  17. The Bangkok Bank main bank on Silom requires 3 to 5 business days for a 12 month statement.
  18. If a religious person is against marijuana and alcohol and same sex marriage, then by all means they should not smoke or drink or marry a same sex partner. However, let me live my life as I like. I do not believe the same as you and should not be forced to follow your beliefs.
  19. Depending on the immigration office, you may also need a rental contract, some copies of rental payment, TM30. Chaeng Wattana in Bangkok wanted all in addition to the Bank statement
