Sounds the same as a "free" brake check at Midas Muffler et al back in North America or the guy that knocks on the door and tells you he was up on next doors roof and saw you have a broken tile.

Chatuchak is not a market per se. It doesn't come and go. It is more of an outdoor mall. 3000 baht a month is peanuts compared to what shop owners pay in shopping malls. 800 baht if on the sidewalk and you set up and take down everyday. If the SRT is providing electric power, a roof etc. well..

The ceiling of performance in MotoGp has been the tires for many years now
Performance ceiling at the IOM is cojones! MotoGP is similar but safer.
MotoGp is like rock climbing with a rope, IOM is like free-climbing.

Focus TDI would OK.

No more than you will by the foreign police volunteers in Pattaya on walking street! I have only seen any army personnel at the toll booths on the motorway and I live in BKK. It is very much business as usual.

On the subject of museums. Not included but worth a visit. The Royal Thai Air force museum.

Perhaps they could take the opportunity to change the name of the stadium to something befitting an English club.
Ah they own a stadium. Maybe it will be like the Oxford City buy out!

Ideally Thailand should increase the capacity of vocational schools for educating workers (can be ex-farmers) in these sectors. But as usual, who would pay for that.. Perhaps the tax base has to increase first.
Thailand has a lot of so called vocational schools. But in between shooting at others from a different vocational schools they don't seem to spend much time learning.

I believe the Boss could be bought with alloys as an option? So arm yourself with some pictures and pay a trip to your nearest Kawaski dealer? Failing that maybe your local mechanic could fit some Honda Phantom wheels?

Now that I am older and don't care to test the boundaries, this Tricity fits the bill.
The key thing about the multi wheeler is you don't need to worry about road conditions, it's almost as carefree as a car.
I don't need to scan the roads or care about riding lines anymore, I just go over bad roads and never have to fear my front will drop into a pothole, skip sideways, or crash.
I get through traffic the same, but it is harder to park in tight spots, but so is a PCX.
This is not something I had considered and no one ever gets younger. So yes maybe Tricity will tempt people onto "two" wheels who may have not done so before?
Was walking yesterday. Saw one in traffic following all the other bikes. In the gap between the cars and the curb, up onto the sidewalk to go around the queue, back down onto the road.. he seemed to be doing it just as easily as all the other guys on two wheeled scooters.
I also passed a Yamaha dealer on my strolls. I think the matt red colour suits the bike the best but.... Black doesn't suit it at all.

I would actually prefer a petition to wrestle the control of traffic lights away from the police and give traffic management to BMA so they can develop a real traffic management dept. to improve traffic flow and end the senseless waste of time/money.

Smaller engine than you had before. Power a bit further up the rev range?

Let's hope with a new Thailand looming the police come down hard on those big bikers, kids on souped up mopeds, cars, lorries and coaches that drive at crazy speeds on public roads, confiscate there vehicles and charge them the cost of a new bike car etc to get them back! these people are a menace on every road in the world!!
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
Does not play well with others 6/10

While you are entitled to your opinion one has to look at the big picture. It is a "world" scooter just like the PCX. Urban populations are on the increase , scooters are becoming more popular but many do not feel safe on two wheels.
To paraphrase: Yamaha Tricity is a tilting three-wheeled scooter offering safety, road grip and a stability unattainable with a two-wheeled vehicle,
Maybe that is why it provides a solution to a problem that does exist. It is after all not the first of its kind. I have to admit to not having ridden one but when on sees the ease at which either it or an MP3 tackle curbs, different levels of road surface , railway tracks, grass verges, etc. I have an open mind and think it will tempt people onto "two" wheels who may have not done so before?
It is actually at least visually a little bigger than a PCX.
In Thailand it will sell, as it is a fad! There will be clubs, forums (already) etc.Maybe a 150 will follow after all PCX was a 125 first.

Shit! there goes all of my rubber plantation workers!!!!
Ask them if they would like help to be registered? I'm sure the answer is yes!

Allan,
They are probably mud wasps. I was once given a little 50cc scooter that wouldn't run. Had been to the local mechanics twice as it would not run. I took the exhaust off and it started just fine. Cause? Mud wasps blockage in the end of the muffler
Just soak everything in water it will all come off.

I think,I've mention this before....for a few hundred Baht you can have the seat 'shaved' to you butt,exactly...so,what's the problem...
I think we all know that. At Poosub market there is a shop just like there is in many parts of Thailand where ALL they do is recover motorbike seats. The other one I have seen is somewhere near Bearing BTS but it has slipped my mind. Business name has a number in it.
Not everyone seems to grasp this concept readily or have the will or ability to do so. If there is a different seat for Europe/USA then armed with a part number guys with Tricity maybe able to order a Euro seat from the dealer. If the seat is the same then back to Thai option 1.
Maybe we could have a sticky with all the names of seat repairers as it seems to be a continuing theme.

You just had another marijuana didn't you Sandman.
Maybe it was the Laura Ashly tribe in the hills of Genting Highlands.

I have been looking for a picture of the European vs. Thai ones to see if there is any difference but I am unable to find anything definitive

It would appear one can still buy the Kawasaki in Malaysia? http://www.kawasaki.com.my/productpage.php?do=product_detail&pro_id=48
Yamaha on the other had may have more potential for modification. Also I thing Yamaha has a "modern " delta box frame.
I think I would need to see both in the flesh first.

Anyone have experience with finding a phone that works in the USA and Thailand? I met someone in Patong who told me that TMobile phones can use USA and Thai SIMs but he was from Austria so I hoping to find someone from the USA that has done it.
I am going to assume here that you want people from the USA who call to think you are still in the US and as such can charge USA rates?
Research roaming rates, they are usually exorbitant. If you get a lot of calls from the same people use Skype as it also works on mobile phones and is cheaper for them. If you get calls one off from many people consider a USA based virtual office who will forward your call using a land-line to Thailand. Depends on costs and volume.

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.
Maybe the question should be why are there so many inane posts on here. But it is fun when for the second time a guy finds a wife and buys her a bar.

I have a 300 two-stroke and brown underwear .

Given the current political climate , exactly which Shinawatra company will be charging for watching?
Stop Tipping The Baht Bus Drivers........
in Pattaya
Posted
Baht buses are the best thing about Pattaya. Brilliant. Easy to use, go most places along the beaches and back even Jomtien and Naklua.
They are what makes Pattaya a user friendly place much easier that Hua Hin , Sanui or Phuket.
Just have some change in your pocket that is the key.
