  1. Find a picture of a motorcycle alarm on the interweb and armed with it go to a couple of motorbike accessory shops. One of them will have something. While there buy at least two good quality disk locks and always use them

The next question is will the alarm wake up the security guard and will he then stop the theft in progress?

  2. I think what the OP is referring to is that Hondas are over servoed. At least that is my experience with my bookkeepers Honda Civic. One only has to touch the pedal. The OP will get used to it after about three or four junctions.

  3. It doesn't really save costs. After ur air flow and fuel pump will be damaged, noisy valves and lifters, finally after a year you will spend the savings on engine repairs.

Btw. About the driving bomb: if gasoline is leaking, u can smell and see it. If LPG is leaking, you not really notice this until.......

I've saved about 150,000 baht in the last 5 years. We have however just relaced the ignition coil as LPG is hard on ignition systems. B2500 + 200 labour!

As for the bomb. I am sure people said this about petrol power vehicles over 100 years ago but some how we got over all that hysteria and all drive or have driven around with over 25 litres of highly volatile fuel under our children who ride/rode in the back seat.

They have also been adding "smell" to natural gas/LPG for also over 60+ years. Just turn on any gas cooker in Thailand and see.

Someone mention Mercedes with CNG. You would be surprised how many Mercedes one sees at LPG filling stations, and Camrys and Accords and....even Fortunas!

  4. ^Lower than what and what difference would that make in the real world?

CBR 150 R has a DOHC 4 stroke 150cc Liquid cooled engine which produces 17.6 ps at 10500 rpm and 12.66nm of torque at 8500 rpm.

Yamaha uses a SOHC 4 stroke liquid cooled 150cc engine on the R15 which produces 17ps at 8500 rpm and 15 nm of torque at 7500 rpm. Unlike the CBR the square engine on the R15 produces ample amounts of torque at low revs. It needs lesser clutch and throttle effort to pull away cleanly from a dead stop. The low end torque is enough to putter around in city stop go traffic from rpm as low as 2000 in second gear. Mid range is also better on the R15.

  5. It's my understanding that the load needs to be covered and the tailgate up. Apparently you can't carry people in the bed either...have even seen them pull over a truck with a cap that had people in the back. Can't guarantee that was the actual infraction in that instance though.

This man is correct. On the motorway what he said. Covered load and no passengers in the back. Often I see the motorway police cars pulling over people in pickups before they get to the toll booth. I mention this just in case some here may think that the police do not do their jobwhistling.gif

  6. ...I can not understand a third of what the heck you are writing. Brit and other slang, to me odd words for what I know by a very different word, and nationalistic-based inside jokes are confusing this old American...

When the Pilgrim Fathers were thrown out of England they were given two things to take to the new world.

The English language and some cutlery. They still haven't mastered either. smile.png canada_flag_icon_small.gif

That was a bad example of Dutch humor. You are not making us proud.

  7. Don't all chicks grow up to be chickens, regardless of origin? Why isn't this in the foods forum, sub section 'poultry', sub sub section 'dumb questions'?

Just like kids grow up to be goats? Whereas children grow up to be adult humans (well mostly adults).

  8. No car with any type of LPG. NGV etc are allowed to park in a covered car park.

Yet more nonsense that will become an urban myth if propagated by uninformed people.

Propane is heavier than air so it naturally goes to the lowest point .It is the same logic as a bilge ventilator on a boat with an inboard engine.

NGV/CNG on the other hand is lighter than air so....

Any escaping LPG, which is as likely as fuel leaking from a petrol car, will gravitate to the lowest point. I don't know where all the shopping mall nonsense started from but it is not about "covered" parking it is only be relevant for basement parking, if at all.

If and the key word is if any gas were to leak in the basement it has nowhere to go and will accumulate. Then I assume if some guy goes into the basement for a quick cigarette!

Because we have been living with petrol for 100 years we tend to forget how dangerous it is but as soon as a new-ish fuel comes along all the would-be HSE guys come out of the woodwork.

Putting a sticker on the back of a car will not stop people with LPG cars parking anywhere.
