The sum total of her "transgression"....

“How can we talk about love when there's still violence on the street?”

Honestly, the "government", when given options, ALWAYS chooses the WRONG path. And with every misstep makes the country look ridiculous.

The degree that they react actually adds support to their critics.  If they didnt react so strongly half the population would have no knowledge of the incident.

Good news for fans of the excellent Mr. Mercedes, season 3 is out on the 4th of March. I really love this show like a book that you just can't put down. 7.9 on IMDb and rightly so IMHO. Some great acting and a strong storyline if the first two seasons are anything to go by.

"A retired detective sets out on a dangerous and potentially felonious crusade when a serial killer begins tormenting him through a series of letters and emails."

I watched the 1st series when it first came out and then forgot to follow up on it.  Thank you for reminding me of this absolutely brilliant show.  I have just finished binge watching season 2 and 3 (fmovies).  Thanks again.

I would put the ' Road Safety Operation Center ' in the same category as the so called ' Pollution Control, Prevention & Mitigation Department ' They are both totally bloody useless and do not do what it says on the tin. ????????????

Actually I think they have taken a leaf out of TAT's book.  Come up with endless but baseless figures and get them in the press each day to make it look like they're busy working on the problem but in fact have no concrete plans to actually achieve them.   And if they do in fact announce any plans, make them totally ludicrous like putting up the speed limit.

I'll take it and hang it up ín my vege garden.  Yellow scares away bugs that eat pumpkin and cucumber leaves.  Cant think of any other use for a Yellow Book, well not in my area at least.  :cheesy::cheesy:

My apologies, I got that in reverse,  Yellow attracts the bugs but it needs to be sticky to trap the bugs.  So no, there is no use for a yellow book after all (in my area).

I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet backing onto the Mae Wong national park

Across the road and away from the national park (at least today) the sky is burning as the farmers burn off all the leftover rubbish from probably the sugar cane. It happens most years and tomorrow there will be black "snow" everywhere. Of course nobody knows how it started as par for the course.

The bad news is that the province has only had 2.7ml of rain since 24th November last year, all the trees have shed their leaves and the land is tinder dry. What concerns me is that farmers on our side of the road my carelessly drop a burning cigarette or some gasoline and the park will burn again.

The only way that the rangers can fight that fire is manually in the forest itself as there is only one road at this end and over 950 sq/km ready to burn.

Call the police !!  :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:   Its against the law!  :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

What a sad and soul-destroying existence.

I wonder if anyone ever considers why girls seem so happy to be prostitutes in Thailand when most other countries see it as being a very damaging and harmful enterprise?  Could it be that something that happens to girls in Thailand as they develop makes them already damaged?  The love of money perhaps?  Or the general acceptance that whatever men do is ok?

Actually, the 19 century French explorer Henry Mouhot relates in his diaries how in Thailand it was common that travellers staying overnight were offered the hosts wife if he had none of his own.

Sorry , but not really .

Cheap is what the importers of chinese goods want , they can make more profit if they buy cheaper .

China can ' good quality ' , too , but at a higher price , of course .

It is the importers greed for profit ,( the cheaper they buy , the cheaper they can afford to sell ), and the quantities will be higher , just as their profit .

Importers are people too.  And they dont invest in goods they think people wont buy.
