I keep seeing these video ads jumping round my screen. Time to log off and have a stiff drink.

When I apply for a retirement extension I simply visit the copy shop adjacent to the Immigrations office (there is one in Jomtien) and tell the person by the copy machine "Retirement extension," and they copy the necessary, and only the necessary, pages from my passport and bank book.
That is the best way to go. Just say "Retirement Visa", like everyone else does , if you say "annual renewal based upon retirement" they will probably not know what you mean.

Hi, next time I have to renew the extension based on retirement I would like to use the combo method instead of the 800.000 bank deposit.I have a UK passport , but income (pension) from Belgium . So the proof of income document is from the Belgian Government, and in Dutch.I am almost sure the UK embassy will not accept this document (even if translated) to issue the proof –of-income document for immigration.I read the Austria embassy issues these documents for EU countries but not sure they would do in my case.My immigration office is Jomtien (excellent service).Would appreciate any help or suggestions, thanks .

The doors are open but it is pitch dark inside. Guy at information desk told me to come back friday.

Sorry , should be A4 instead of A1 ofcourse....
-
When applying for a passport renewal, a color copy of each page is needed.
Is that one A1 copy per page, or can I unfold the passport and thus copy 2 pages on one A1? Would save me 16 copies...

The airline must return you to the point of origin, if that is not possible they must return you to your home country.
You may have to pay them in full but they are required to take you. If you don't pay they can and likely will sue you.
How do they determine the "home country" it is quite possible to have a passport of a EU country and never ever set foot there, living in a different EU country than that of your passport

be careful with no-auto renew: if you dont switch off your device in time (before midnight), it will steal all your credit at 1 bath / min

I paid my BIL exactly the same as the other workers, 280/day 2 years ago, should be 300 now. Did not even discuss this with the missus.
-
I did the same a couple of months ago, as adhesive i roughly poured some old paint I had left over on the existing tiles , let dry one day and then fixed the new tiles with "crocodile" cement. result is perfect.

Shave before shower, then leave all doors and windows open

And what would the calculation look like if you change the purchase price to 6 million baht (and 10 million sales price). Would that make a difference?
Seems like an illegal activity to me

Yes it is the Surin border crossing. Cambodia visa is about 1000 baht. There are no fees on Thai side of border.
I have crossed there three times, and each time they tried to charge me 200 - 300 baht at the Thai side. Just get your stamp and tell them you paid already.
Never heard of the Thai Arrival charging T money only the Cambodian Arrival/Departure Office which is directly across from the Cambodian visa shack. BTW both of these are in Cambodia.
Correct , it is that office. It is not like they ask T money, they just give your stamp and say "200 bath". They do not insist when you refuse to pay. Maybe not always, but it happened to me and last month to my German neighbour (he did not know and paid).

The person who has the free seat next to you will always arrive a second before they close the doors.

There are TV specialists on almost every topic... but cardboard ???

How did you destroy the card ? I once cut an expired card in two and showed both halfs. It was accepted (China Airlines).

To me Nakhonchai Air is the best. Dont remember what time they leave Surin , but arrive Pattaya around 5 pm.
The Golden class does stop not in Korat, takes the direct route so saves you a lot of time and hassle.
They have their own terminal a little north of the city (of Surin).

- The two meter copper stake should be enough to ground the whole system. Better to plant it in soil that is more or less moist the whole year, like close to a water well.
- Make sure you have a seperate grounded wire available in the area where you will put appliances like fridges, washing machines : some need to be grounded by a seperate wire, meaning there is no ground wire in the plug.
- I would add a dedicated circuit for the sockets outside or garage (or any socket that might get humid) ... or invaded by those micro-ants

Maybe that is true, i also wondered why there are so many pages in the book, but then, how come I have the book and no one else ? Is it my book or not ?

Last week I went to get my 5 year driving licence and they wanted proof of residence, either a letter from immigration or the yellow book.
I did not fancy going to the corrupt immigration office at Kap Choeng so I said to the misses, lets go to the Amhpur and see what documents they need for the yellow book. Arrived there they said , if married, all we need is your passport (and a few copies) and the wife's id card ( I always have half a dozen passport-size photos in my wallet). And I had to write down the names of father and mother (in English). That was it ! after a few signatures and stamps , 20 minutes later I had my yellow book , costs zero baht. And another 30 minutes later I had my 5 year driving licence.
So before getting nervous about which documents are needed, just go to the Amphur and ask first.
