  1. When I bought my tablet a few months ago the external and virtual keybords were set to UK English. Now I want to switch back to Thai , but dont know how.

I have tried following, but nothing works:

    - changed the system language and keybord to Thai

    - in system language UK , I cannot select a Thai input language (it is not there)

I would like to keep the system language in UK, and swith both the external and virtual keybords.

Anyone know what to do ?

    Thanks,

    Michael

  2. You can find them at the top floor of the Emporium shopping mall, Soi 24 Sukhumvit. Not a lot of choice, but good quality.

I have had one for years, I like it and I understand the comments about hygiene but would dispute them on a case by case basis.

Anyway, I think the answer to the OP is in my first sentence.

Many thanks for your useful and only sensible reply.

    Some people...

have no sence of humor , it is allowed on TV you know

  3. The Furama is vey good value for money if you are looking for something more luxury.

As long as you dont take anything from the fridge (minibar). We though the 2 small bottles of mineral water were for free as usual in hotels,

They charged us 200THB per bottle/day ( 3 days = 1200 THB) My Thai wife almost fainted ! But apart from that everything was A+ and smack in the middle of Silom/Sathorn, walking distance from BTS.

  4. Hmm, not that sure, if you booked via an agency they should have given you some kind of document , not only an e-ticket from CA. Anyway if all you have is an e-ticket I would not take the risk . I fly CA AMS-BKK 4 times a year and 50% I have to show the credit card and passport, never e-ticket. Better contact the CA office in BKK directly with all your details. They are very helpfull.

  5. I dont know about BKK, but I think he is looking for a bar like the Irish Pub in CM. Many people come there with kids , no problem.

Not all bars have noisy music , drunkards yelling, but yes, these may be difficult to find. That is why he posted the question, dont understand the cynical remarks ... but yes, this is TV allright

  6. We fly China airlines CI0065/CI0066 business class 3 to 4 times a year for the past 5 years and find it excellent value for money. It is true the flight BKK-AMS leaves at a rather inconvenient time 3am but this has nothing to do with the A+ service. As gold member sometimes get upgrade to first. The lounge at BKK is

often noisy but this has mostly to to with parvenues -typically of a certain nationality (NL?)- wanting to show off.

  7. I always booked via Asiarooms before they changed their web application. They were always cheaper compared to other providers.

Often I tried to book a room direct at the hotel, but was always 150 -200 percent more expensive. For instance, a room at a top ChiangMai hotel was 1200thb via Asiarooms , 4000 at direct check-in. They actually advised me to use the internet service (at the hotel ! ) , book the room on internet , and then check in with the voucher at 1200thb. Asiarooms are easy to contact by phone 24h a day and are very flexible. I often used this service.

  8. I plan a trip with my (Thai) wife to Hong Kong for a few days in september, and would appreciate some tips like:

Flight: I like more comfort than budget AirAsia , so thinking Emirates or are they equivalent ?

How many days minimum should I plan ?

    Best not-fancy sea-food restaurant ?

Shopping , not the traditional shopping malls

    etc...

    Thanks
