My 300-euro flight from Bangkok to London via Kuala Lumpur next week on a 5-star airline (Malaysian) with a 5-star plane (A380) is looking more like an excellent deal all the time. Honestly, who except someone who's obscenely wealthy or who works for a stupid company that likes to waste its (or its shareholders') money thinks it's a smart idea to fork out almost 5,000 euros to sit inside a metal tube for 12 hours when other people sitting inside the same metal tube and arriving at exactly the same time are paying only 300 euros to sit inside said metal tube for 12 hours?
Some people are just jealous
I wish I could afford it. Squeezing 1.85m with joint probs into Economy Class is awful .
Others honest

Yes, as I thought but still just over the 44thb - 1Gbp is good for me!!
Thanks
please explain why "over" is "good" for you. you want to buy GBP with THB, right? then below 44 should be good for you.
I am beginning to understand why the OP calls it a silly question

I sent you a PM

I have nothing but excellent experience with AA. But I do triple check my online booking ( click or just not click check boxes) , allow enough time for connecting flights etc.
But you can always opt for Thai Airways first class, see if they are anything better.

Thanks for the replies, I have the UK nationality and officially live in Belgium. That is why we would apply for a visa at the Belgian embassy.
Do you think we could apply ay the Swedish embassy , sounds more interesting
-
Hi, my wife's daughter will be travelling to Belgium with us next april.
i have prepared all necessary documents, but my question is: does she have to be present in person at the embassy, or could her mother handle this for her?
The girl is 15 and goes to school in Surin. It would be inconvenient for her to have to stay 3-4 days in BKK.
Thanks for any advice.

Allowance stated above, but and this is entirely at your own risk, I have always brought the 2 ltr cardboard carton of wine back and never ever had a problem.
Even after they checked your luggage ?

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced 3/4 star hotel in the krabi area (beach not necessary) where they serve fresh coffee -no instant- at breakfast ?
Thanks

It is regrettable that many different topics are criss-crossed here (and by the OP):
- fake drugs vs real thing
- generic drugs vs real
- fake drugs vs generic
Difficult to give any comment whithout being misunderstood

I installed the google play keyboard and it works, but only the virtual one.
But I can use that one, so thanks for your help.
-
When I bought my tablet a few months ago the external and virtual keybords were set to UK English. Now I want to switch back to Thai , but dont know how.
I have tried following, but nothing works:
- changed the system language and keybord to Thai
- in system language UK , I cannot select a Thai input language (it is not there)
I would like to keep the system language in UK, and swith both the external and virtual keybords.
Anyone know what to do ?
Thanks,
Michael

So we still do not know if NOK flies to Europe...

More boring than " the very best " of Status Quo

You can find them at the top floor of the Emporium shopping mall, Soi 24 Sukhumvit. Not a lot of choice, but good quality.
I have had one for years, I like it and I understand the comments about hygiene but would dispute them on a case by case basis.
Anyway, I think the answer to the OP is in my first sentence.
Many thanks for your useful and only sensible reply.

The Furama is vey good value for money if you are looking for something more luxury.
As long as you dont take anything from the fridge (minibar). We though the 2 small bottles of mineral water were for free as usual in hotels,
They charged us 200THB per bottle/day ( 3 days = 1200 THB) My Thai wife almost fainted ! But apart from that everything was A+ and smack in the middle of Silom/Sathorn, walking distance from BTS.

Just curious, in which country in Europe did you pay only 19 % taxes ? Greece maybe ?

I always book my flights directly via the company site . Nevertheless I read many topics about bookings via agents. So my question is: what could be the added value of an agent? Dont they just fill in the online registration form same as anyone could and ask a fee for that service ?
-
Hmm, not that sure, if you booked via an agency they should have given you some kind of document , not only an e-ticket from CA. Anyway if all you have is an e-ticket I would not take the risk . I fly CA AMS-BKK 4 times a year and 50% I have to show the credit card and passport, never e-ticket. Better contact the CA office in BKK directly with all your details. They are very helpfull.

So how can we post a cynical remark towards the Thai on this one ? Maybe they dont know the next letter ?
-
If you are that uncertain of return date and providing you get a valid visa, just buy a one-way ticket.
Better buy a cheaper return ticket and throw away the return flight ticket

Thanks, hadnt thought of EMU or ARB lift kit, know a place in Pattaya who does this ?

Can a basic Vigo 4 door be upgraded to look and drive like a prerunner ?
What needs to be done and what would it cost

Simple Marriage , Means Simple Divorce Too?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
The technical procedure is as simple as 123, can get divorced in 1 hour. The real problem is , you have to fill in an agreement form, meaning your wife will not agree unless she gets everything, you nothing. But if you are thinking about divorce before you even get married, you are clever , so dont do it.
