  1. Are there good places for CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or hypnotherapy in downtown?

You may want to have a look at the Ultrasis website.

They offer web based treatments and are recommended by NICE, the National Institute of Clinical Excellence who oversee all the treatments available in the British National Health Service.

  2. As an aside just as I was leaving the Embassy and old guy, looked about seventy was entering with a very provocatively dressed Thai lady. He had a t-shirt on which read, 'I <deleted> on the first date', not exactly a class act IMHO.

LOL. Deary me! Would have liked to have seen what her T-Shirt read!

Maybe something along the lines of.......

"I keep my eyes closed and think of the inheritance"

  3. So, here i am.

First picture: Regular 28mm Mikuni carb. Arrow points to float bowl drain screw.

Second picture: Overflow tube! As you can see it extends a bit higher than the rim of the float bowl itself.

Third picture: Here overflow and float bowl drain come together into the same outlet nipple, arrow points to drain hole that is opened by outside screw.

Now when are you going to send the million Dollars that i just won?? Be quick, my computer needs a new PSU and i want one of them Ferraris, too.

    Best regards......

    Thanh

How do we know thats not something you've just thrown together yourself or manipulated in Photoshop.

Some people will do anything for a million bucks!

    Has Lickey paid up yet?

Yeah, we want part numbers, detailed engineering drawings, the original castings and the name of the Japanese guy who did the original design.

Then you may get your million dollars.

If Lickey pays up of course.

  4. You should first find the local Thai Supermarkets etc you will pick up lots of info in the shop itself.

also pop in the local eating holes

it will also depend what part of Southampton your moving to

(lived there for 20 years a poor saints supporter)

ps to fit in down there don't forget to pronounce it Soufampton :o

    Soufampton! Lah dee dah.

If we ever said anything other than Sarfamtin we were beaten up for being too posh.

  5. Do not know about the Government being silly, but when The Thai Government get wind of what the UK Government announced yesterday, it will be the end of the end for all 3G mobiles. The UK Gov, in their wisdom, have announce a new law that all mobiles that take pictures/videos will be banned , as they have been used by thugs to take pics and footage of beatings of both adults and youths.

Not doubting you but that sounds very hard to believe. Do you have a link for the banning of camera mobiles in the UK?

  6. I am trying to setup my HSBC account in UK to pay into my Kasikorn account in Thailand so I do not have to call the UK everytime I want to make a transfer.

I have a question of anyone who may have set this up before.

One field I need to fill in is 'Beneficiary Bank Identifier Code' or BIC. I am guessing that this is the SWIFT code right? KASITHBK.

When I called the HSBC internet helpdesk they had no clue what a BIC was! Hardly confidence building.

Has anyone else used HSBC for international internet money transfers?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. When will something be done to stop this Songkran madness.

I have just got back home from a shocking experience in Kanchanaburi.

I felt that I was running a gauntlet as I rode my Phantom through the frenzied crowds of water and powder chuckers.

One time I was bought to a halt by a young girl, she must have been 16 or 17, no more who proceeded to douse me with water and smear powder on my face.

She was clearly aroused in some way as her nipples were very visible through her cotton vest. What was worse she seemed also not to be wearing a bra.

After riding past I decided to turn around just for confirmation of the shocking scene.

However, now because I was on the opposite side of the street I could only see her slim little behind barely hidden by the small soaking shorts she was wearing.

I rode on, too shocked for words.

Was this scene for real, I had to turn back once again just to confirm my worst fears.

The same girl doused me again, laughing at the fun. Her small pert breasts confirmed that yes she was wearing no bra.

Shocked beyond words I rode on only to stop once again a short distance along the road.

I had to turn back. The scene was too compelling to leave.

The same girl, the same soaking clinging clothes.

How many times I rode past I lost count but all too soon my motorcycle ran out of fuel.

Is there some guardian of Thai morals I can write too? I think they should be told.

  8. 300-400 dead ... it's not that much, compare it with the living deaths in EU, that's far worse ... take a chill pill !!

You should tell that to my Thai mother in law.

Her eldest son was killed by a drunk driver. She has been suffering terribly since the day he died.

    Your an idiot.

  9. Tough new requirements before foreigners can get driving license

It will be officially announced later today that there will be a new Thai language requirement before a Drivers License is issued to all foreigners.

After an exhaustive investigation, a Government Committee has decided that all foreigners should be able to read Thai as one of the conditions for the issue of a drivers license.

The Committee was convened during the 1st Thaksin administration before being mothballed by the CNS only to be revived by the new Government of Samak Sundaravej.

Their findings showed that the inability of many foreigners to read Thai led to them being confused whilst driving. This had in turn led to a disproportionate number of foreigners being involved in major accidents whilst driving in Thailand.

It was thus deemed neccessary to bring in the new condition and with immediate effect all drivers license renewals must be submitted with a Thai Language Reading Poficiency Certificate. The proposal to make it a requirement with immediate effect for all license holders was dropped due to the uneccessary hardship it may cause some foreigners.

The language test will be administered by the major Department of Land and Transport Offices to ensure fairness and continuity of standards. It is accepted that the more rural offices will not have the resources to oversee the new requirement so all foreigners will now have to renew their license in a large city office.

To help foreigners meet the new language conditions each Department of Land and Transport will be running a language school in the 12 weeks prior to license renewal. Fees have yet to be determined but 500 Bht per hour has been suggested as 'reasonable' by a Department spokesman.

It has not yet been determined how non-resident foreigners, mainly tourists will be affected by the new requirment but it has been suggested that a short test be taken by anyone hiring a vehicle. The test should be kept simple enough to be performed by an employee of the hire company.

  10. I could never see myself paying more for a car than it costs to build my house.

But then again if I should strike it rich who knows?

But not a Hummer. Lamborghini man ever since I saw a Countach in the flesh as an impressionable teenager.

  11. I enjoy keeping myself reasonably fit by doing alot of cycling.

I usually keep to the bigger roads as that means less hassle from dogs running out at you and trying to take chunks out of my legs.

However on my favourite route I am/was regularly bothered by a particularly nasty mutt.

A cross between a rotweiler, cerberus and the filth hound of hades.

It really was an evil looking creature and it was only the part of it that must have been crossed with a Jack Russel that kept its legs short enough to mean it couldn't keep up for long when I put a sprint on.

My usual route meant that it usually attacked from the nearside on my left.

Just lately I reversed the route so that it meant filth hound had to cross the road to get at me.

This morning he must have been dozing as he started his run at me a little late and crucially for him didn't notice the Dmax coming the other way.

I heard his pitter patter on the road so put on my usual sprint then the squeal of brakes and the thump of impact as the Dmax caught him a good'un.

I looked back and saw muttley twitching his last in the middle of the road.

Previously I had seen who I presume was the owner just stand and watch at it rushed at me.

Didn't seem to care in the least and certainly never kept the property gate closed to prevent it happening.

Well now he has lost what must have been an awesome burglar alarm/deterrent.

Shame that he like most people here don't take care of their dogs.
