  1. "....with interest rates for the latter often surpassing the 15% legal limit" That's not even close, rates can be as high as 30-50% a day where we are. Absolute insanity and the reason a relatively small loan balloons into a lifetime burden.
  2. As is the case many times children are the retirement fund but fail to give the expected returns....very sad case.
  3. Judging by the size of her she must have been chasing a particular viewer and using a wide angle lens.
  4. What on earth is the point unless it's just for a big payday?
  5. "He questioned why such an incident occurred in Thailand.." Some road users here are ignorant, selfish <deleted>.
  6. The 'Phantom Cut'n'Paster' strikes again.
  7. I live in Phanomtuan.... can't wait to download my boarding pass.
  8. "DEPUTY Prime Minister-cum-Energy Minister Peeraphan Saleerathaviphak said today (Dec. 21) he does not know where Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit got the idea to hike excise tax on petrol only in Bangkok and surrounding provinces to incentivise people to travel by train and it probably won’t materialize." Diplomatic way of saying "he's a <deleted> idiot".
  9. "Atthayut Leeyavanich, an employers’ representative....." Extremely well paid by the rich elites letting the serfs know that they're worth an extra 2 bht a day. How vermin like this sleep easy at night is beyond me.
  10. If the quoted prices are true I'd wager any interest in these tours will be long over before the next rainy season.
  11. Instead of these temporary schemes why not just charge one price for all?
  12. He needs to stop letting his wife dress him.
  13. Married couples attract less attention than single males.
  14. Being old, poor and homeless is not a lifestyle choice.
  15. The Phantom Cut'n'Paster strikes again.
  16. Yeah, somebody needs to brush up on their cut'n'paste skills.
  17. It is this guy's job to run offense for the super rich elite and their stooges and nothing else. He will never raise issues of corruption and injustice perpetrated by his paymasters.
  18. Many cane growers want to harvest their cane unburnt. The cane cutters are paid per rai cut so want to get it cut as quickly as possible and move onto the next job so they prefer burnt cane. One of wifeys friends grows sugarcane and wants to cut it unburnt as she earns more that way. 2 years ago the cutting team didn't want the aggravation of cutting it unburnt but reluctantly agreed. The night before her field was due to be cut all her cane mysteriously burst into flame. The cane team got their way and she lost money. Last year she managed to negotiate the services of a mechanical harvester but there are not yet enough to go round and some fields are too small to make it worthwhile for the combine owner to do the work.
  19. Just make it <deleted> illegal for the processing factories to buy burnt cane. There problem solved overnight.
  20. In judicial systems there exists the right to refuse the granting of bail be it for the weight of evidence against, the likely hood of witness tampering, flight risk etc all of which are present in this particular case and should have been argued for strongly by the prosecuting team.
  21. Usual shoddy reporting, very few competent journalists working for Thai news agencies it would seem.
  22. And there, in a nutshell, is all that is wrong with the Thai judicial system. One of our friends is a Policeman living and working in Nakhon Pathom. It is widely known what took place at that event and there is no way this guy should be out on bail.
