PM Charged With Breaking Law Over 6,000 Baht Gift To Paetongtarn
edwinchester replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It is this guy's job to run offense for the super rich elite and their stooges and nothing else. He will never raise issues of corruption and injustice perpetrated by his paymasters. -
Many cane growers want to harvest their cane unburnt. The cane cutters are paid per rai cut so want to get it cut as quickly as possible and move onto the next job so they prefer burnt cane. One of wifeys friends grows sugarcane and wants to cut it unburnt as she earns more that way. 2 years ago the cutting team didn't want the aggravation of cutting it unburnt but reluctantly agreed. The night before her field was due to be cut all her cane mysteriously burst into flame. The cane team got their way and she lost money. Last year she managed to negotiate the services of a mechanical harvester but there are not yet enough to go round and some fields are too small to make it worthwhile for the combine owner to do the work.

Just make it <deleted> illegal for the processing factories to buy burnt cane. There problem solved overnight.

Anyone Else Finding AseanNow Almost Unusable Recently❓
edwinchester replied to Skeptic7's topic in Forum Support Desk
Dreadful experience trying to view any topic right now. Click one and it takes at least 20 seconds to start loading. Way too many ads and pop-ups appearing. I appreciate the website is a free resource but there is a limit to the number of totally irrelevant ads I will put up with appearing on my screen. Can't fathom why the user experience has declined by so much over the years. It's coming to the point where I'll probably sign in once or twice a year to catch up on any Immigration changes come extension time. -
Thanathorn's Vision for Thailand's Economic Future
edwinchester replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"He firmly asserts the lack of necessity for massive loans to stimulate the current economy. Instead, he argues for efficient allocation of the existing annual budget." Dangerous thinking there...what room does that leave for snouts at the trough? -
Thailand Launches Drone Project to Enhance Farming
edwinchester replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Here in Kanchanaburi they are being used more and more. Amazing how quickly they can cover an area that used to take all day by 2 or 3 people. Must be cost effective if it's being used by some of the poorest farmers in our village where price is absolutely the deciding factor. -
