  1. Yeah, somebody needs to brush up on their cut'n'paste skills.
  2. It is this guy's job to run offense for the super rich elite and their stooges and nothing else. He will never raise issues of corruption and injustice perpetrated by his paymasters.
  3. Many cane growers want to harvest their cane unburnt. The cane cutters are paid per rai cut so want to get it cut as quickly as possible and move onto the next job so they prefer burnt cane. One of wifeys friends grows sugarcane and wants to cut it unburnt as she earns more that way. 2 years ago the cutting team didn't want the aggravation of cutting it unburnt but reluctantly agreed. The night before her field was due to be cut all her cane mysteriously burst into flame. The cane team got their way and she lost money. Last year she managed to negotiate the services of a mechanical harvester but there are not yet enough to go round and some fields are too small to make it worthwhile for the combine owner to do the work.
  4. Just make it <deleted> illegal for the processing factories to buy burnt cane. There problem solved overnight.
  5. In judicial systems there exists the right to refuse the granting of bail be it for the weight of evidence against, the likely hood of witness tampering, flight risk etc all of which are present in this particular case and should have been argued for strongly by the prosecuting team.
  6. Usual shoddy reporting, very few competent journalists working for Thai news agencies it would seem.
  7. And there, in a nutshell, is all that is wrong with the Thai judicial system. One of our friends is a Policeman living and working in Nakhon Pathom. It is widely known what took place at that event and there is no way this guy should be out on bail.
  8. Yeah just look at that audience front row, ready to tear the performers limb from limb they're so outraged.
  9. The verdict in this case hasn't even been reached yet.
  10. I wish I could write an honest comment but today I'm going to have to bite my tongue.
  11. True but that is a tiny part of the huge overall problem and can be easily solved by proper employment checks. The fact that there are still some unqualified foreign teachers shows the lack of any real desire to raise standards.
  12. "Her brain matter was scattered across the road, indicating a fatal head injury." And today's journalism award for stating the bleedin' obvious in the most insensitive way goes too.......
  13. Govts the world over seem to love giving tax breaks to those who least need them.
  14. "However, thanks to the sturdiness of the old vintage car, Anntonia’s vehicle sustained only minor scratches. The vintage car, however, was severely damaged." Who on earth writes this crap? Journalist credentials should be removed at once.
  15. Dreadful experience trying to view any topic right now. Click one and it takes at least 20 seconds to start loading. Way too many ads and pop-ups appearing. I appreciate the website is a free resource but there is a limit to the number of totally irrelevant ads I will put up with appearing on my screen. Can't fathom why the user experience has declined by so much over the years. It's coming to the point where I'll probably sign in once or twice a year to catch up on any Immigration changes come extension time.
  16. "He firmly asserts the lack of necessity for massive loans to stimulate the current economy. Instead, he argues for efficient allocation of the existing annual budget." Dangerous thinking there...what room does that leave for snouts at the trough?
  17. Here in Kanchanaburi they are being used more and more. Amazing how quickly they can cover an area that used to take all day by 2 or 3 people. Must be cost effective if it's being used by some of the poorest farmers in our village where price is absolutely the deciding factor.
  18. Try reading the op properly, a police report was filed by the parents.
  19. Soon as the threat of conscription disappears in Russia say goodbye to so many Russians.
  20. How long before there's a Chinese Policeman on each Chinese tourbus in Thailand?
  21. Most Thai schools have a Kindergarten attached where the kids start at 2 years old.
  22. The restaurant will have higher overheads than any in our village granted but it is still a totally unremarkable establishment and 300 bht is absolutely over the top. I've eaten regularly in the Don Mueang area and what is on display in the op can be easily got for less than 100 bht.
  23. Here in the village I can still buy a medium sized plate of Phad Thai Moo or Khao Phad Moo for 20bht. The markup to 300bht a plateful for what is on display in the op must be remarkable.
  24. Be much easier to just go after Lazada and Shopee, plenty of knockoff shirts being sold there.
