  1. Citizenship for farang? Pull the other one.. I'd settle for a residency card after 22 years of year to year renewals.. 🤥
  2. I've stumbled across a Canadian woman on YouTube with the handle "cannabanista".. She brings that female "style" element.. lots of pretty stash boxes etc.. The one I watched yesterday was about "tolerance" breaks. She's a fan, saying for her it's a good approach. In my opinion the OP seems to be working hard to justify his break. Probably due to some of the pushback from some early responders. I wouldn't bother with a tolerance break but I do control when I smoke. Mid-afternoon at the earliest, just before a nap. Then later in the evening to enjoy the buzz before sleep.. 😌
  3. Rude and aggressive.. Russian for sure 😘 I think AN needs to do some housecleaning..
  4. You're busted Boris! FYI.. I'm prime marriage material in Thailand 😄
  5. A lot more than you might think.. and a boatload of "sympathizers"
  6. Joined April 12.. almost 1000 posts.. Do you keep saying the same thing like you are doing in this thread? And if you really are female (not likely), thank the gods I'm not married to you..
  7. If you were only pointing out how every conflict has two sides those might be relevant quotes. My reference was to the study of history by respected academics, with access to multiple sources..
  8. My reply to Connda's word salad.. Thanks to a Youtube premium account and time on my hands, I attend University most days.. Professors and lecturers from some of the finest Universities.. Stephen Kotkin is my favorite but there are many more. Retired extremely high-ranking military and intelligence officials. Diplomats. Economists. Etc. It's not that we (I) lack the intellectual firepower to engage in a wide-ranging debate on the issues, but that there is not wide-spread interest in examining the finer points. And yes, you and all the other dissidents of the Western "narrative" shock me.. Diving into "whataboutism" at every opportunity. Watch some of Peter Zeihan's videos. Very engaging speaker. Russia is done. Approximately 8 million men of the usual call-up age. 1 million have already fled, while another 500.000 are dead. One Putinista claimed 150.000 dead. Laughable. Truly laughable. This is Russia's last land-grab, whether successful or not. And I'm betting on "not". It was not the West that hollowed out the Russian economy. Russian cronyism and corruption did that.. As I said earlier, we could go on for days. But History is a truth-teller.
  9. Ok BobSTPetersburg 😊 I think you have overreached here.. The percentages you have provided are obviously the product of "managed" elections, a skill Russia, under Putin, has developed into a fine art..
  10. I got this far in the thread before I just had to say something.. Where have all these pro-Russian posters come from? Your point about support for the Germans in WW2.. If you are giving a history lesson you forgot the point about Russia starving the Ukrainians prior to the war.. I could go on but we would be here for days.. These are obviously Russian members and why would we be surprised. They are everywhere in Thailand now. Mostly because they are no longer welcome in most of their favored playgrounds. And many speak excellent English. My condo is now at least 50% Russian.
  11. just a heads up for you... Those American "scientists" have just about perfected vaporizing. No more smell.. All you dudes complaining about bad smell ( really? there are so many bad smells out there. And good ones too.. swings and roundabouts) should now be promoting vaporizers.
  12. South Africa just legalized cannabis for personal recreational use.. The naysayers are just pushing back against the new dawn.. After almost a century ( blink of an eye in the long history of cannabis) of prohibition. That didn't work..
  13. South Africa just legalized cannabis for personal recreational use.. The naysayers are just pushing back against the new dawn.. After almost a century ( blink of an eye in the long history of cannabis) of prohibition. That didn't work..
  14. As far as I know, it can not be done at present.. Reason being that they are different substances. Cannabis can be detected much longer than alcohol. Does not mean that you are "under the influence". At present only pre-breathalyser methods "could" be used. How do they handle this in Canada?
  15. Same could be said about people using alcohol regularly. Justice is even-handed. Or should be..
  16. You have been frequenting the weed shops again, haven't you.. 😊
  17. My new favorite AN sport is to check the join date of the most off the wall posts.. 90% of the posters have joined within the last 2 years but have thousands of posts to their name.. ST-U..
  18. Not very many products that we humans consume comes with no risk/harm. Can we start from there? Cannabis, with it's widespread use, would have exhibited severe harmful effects by now if they were evident.. You have, in past posts on this topic, referred to your experience as a Magistrate in the UK. As such, you were tasked with enforcing a law which you had no part in making, and you fulfilled that task to the best of your ability. But times and laws change. Consider the number of law enforcement officials who have had to adjust to the increasing legalization around the world. They no longer have a dog in the fight. They may still have negative opinions about cannabis but it's no longer their concern. It's a social issue and public perceptions regarding harm are changing.. Might I suggest that instead of trying to roll back the clock, you sit back and watch how things play out.. Alcohol, while perfectly legal, except for Muslim countries, is well regulated and offers a framework.. The difference is however that while most users are responsible, many are not. Alcohol has demonstrable downsides. Family violence, traffic deaths etc. Yet bars are everywhere and it is for sale openly. Cannabis does not have this baggage. The issue is that Government needs to make sure that they are receiving their cut. VAT revenue, tax revenue from successful cannabis businesses.. Some jurisdictions have some of this revenue "ring fenced" as windfall income reserved for schools, sport facilities, even support for other social ills. This, in my opinion, is a reasonable direction to be looking. Not trying to extend the lifespan of failed policies..
  19. If you can not see that... All the "anti" users of alcohol who feel free to insult and pontificate about users of cannabis are all just exhibiting the effects of decades of propaganda..
  20. Guess it's back to the old school for you.. Medicinal weed in America is not neutered. Full potency. Otherwise it's just a placebo..
  21. I am an old smoker.. literally. 😁. I visited Thailand several times in the'70s. Loved the old sticks.. Have Western legal ( and "pre-legal") growers advanced the product's quality in the intervening 50 years? Absolutely. But it's not rocket science.. just good old agriculture.I love top quality weed and I've smoked lots of it. But it's taste and effect that I look for and I don't need or want to be paying the equivalent of US$250/oz to be happy! The recently departed ( and not particularly mourned) "brick weed" we had to smoke the last 20 years was about 3000 Baht for 100 grams. So 30 Baht/gm. or 30,000 Baht a kilo. I know people paying 40-50 Baht a gram now for quite decent buds. Now, I won't pay more than 150-200 Baht a gram.. But if it's cheaper and good (and it will be), I'm even happier..
  22. The usual anti-cannabis responses 😄. And one surprising response from a pro-cannabis supporter.. Mr. Stoner.. Stoner, why go for the cheap shot? Community enterprise.. Thai farmers know how to grow, but professionally marketing an unfamiliar product can be challenging in the early days. I doubt their product is crap, and it will certainly get better. This is exactly what I have been counting on as pro-cannabis consumer. Anutin is not going to be a pushover on his signature issue, and his party's key role in the coalition gives him great leverage. Roll 'em and smoke 'em!
