  1. The funny thing is, you continually slag off the British MG, yet you bought an MG made by the Chinese, now that is very funny. My conclusion is you wanted a new cheap ride, be honest now..????
  2. Not sure how the S mode works, it could keep it in the lower gear range longer, and/or use the tech to increase RPM's. If you put your foot to the floor it will really take off, use a lower range and raise the RPM to the limit...
  3. You don't know what I know, so please don't guess. ???? And why shouldn't your Chinese ride take you here there and everywhere, I have never said it won't, my involvement in this thread is totally a cheap Chinese ride using a British performance brand name and history to sell it, yes "since 1924"......????
  4. Another Morris vs MG comparison, Morris Oxford and MG Magnette, 61hp vs 68hp, virtually the same car, though the MG had a very nice interior and a bit more go....
  5. BMC/BL produced 523,000 MGB and variants in its 18 years production run, the vast majority going to the USA...... 1.8xS4/3.0xS6/3.5V8 engines..
  6. Yes, MG was the performance side of Morris, strange the Chinese didn't use the Morris name for their non-performance rides and pickup ...???? Below is a Morris 1100 and an MG 1100, 50hp vs 55hp....
  7. Everything probably has a Chinese part, made with cheap labour in China for the west. But the thread is about 100% Chinese stuff, cheap MG cars with a bought British brand name to give folk the feel good factor........???? Would folk buy them if they were called "Chow Ming Autos", doubt it, mind you, CMA sounds BMW-ish.......????........????
  8. Correct, been here long enough to know how it is. When I am asked to sing, at my Thai in-laws place, you will hear the whispers... "Ah, Farang songs".... Followed by fast exits.......????
  9. "Farangs of Ubon" was put on the wreaths by the Thai organisers of the event who were paying for it, now do you honesty believe that the Thai toffs would write it on a wreath being derogatory to the fallen, now come on.........???? What it is, is some farangs in LOS getting their knickers in a twist over a recognised, used daily word....The posh farangies.....????
  10. But is it racist, to you it must be, because it's the same as the other stuff you don't like....????
  11. So me being called a Cockney is racist........???? Gawd 'elp us......????
  12. Well there we have it, you don't even like sayings in your own country, you think you're posh.....Mate......????.................????
  13. No, you, in Thailand think you are still in Faraland and the locals should be like you, but after all, to them, you sound like the thing you are complaining about, a know it all Farangy......????......???? And may I suggest, you also have ignorant folk in your Farangland, but you will say..."Oh, no we don't, we never use derogatory words there"...????.............???? You know..."What the <deleted> are ya talkin about mate", or.."Are you a Pom mate"....Totally unheard of....????
  14. Not in my pub.....???? On 11.11.11, every year on Remembrance Day, our Town of Ubon puts on an excellent R.D. event, over a dozen large wreaths on stands are on display, the wreath put forward for the town's westerner's, and presented by one of us says ........ ........."Farangs of Ubon"....... Now do you think we are being derogatory to the fallen.....?
