  1. Where I live we haven't seen a cop in years, except our lad, but he is not a traffic cop......???? Tell a lie, I do at times at the new year drink drive ambush.....????
  2. A "better safe than sorry" guy, but I hope you were following safety guidelines regarding over doing it.....................????
  3. Seems the Pattaya trip, they did say they went to "attractions" that were packed with people, but, airport x 2, their digs, who knows, but as yet, nobody else in the family has it, just these 5 all at once....
  4. Yeh but, there are some folk I/we don't listen too...????
  5. We have all had 3 jabs, so far no Covid, but wait..................... As everything seemed to be Covid settling down, our lad, wife, his wife's sister, husband and one baby got on a plane to Pattaya for a few days.... They have all now got covid, including the baby......????
  6. You got that the wrong way round, pay the little extra for the adjustments. Yes, I replace my cheap cr@p about every 3 /4 years when the fan is falling apart. Plus, the first one I bought, a different brand, the fan on that rusted away. But, as we know, you know everything, so If you find a brand with a stainless steel fan, please let me/us know. Of course your fan maybe caked in fat melts, then caked in fat again to fend off the rusting, whereas mine is fat free.... ????
  7. Yes, it is probably "sensiblepants".... The one with adjustments costs about 150/200bht extra, so I reckon it is not worth fluffing about with, as you seem to like...????
  8. But I always have salt, vinegar and sauce on my chips....???? The best frozen chips I have found are Makro Saver Pack, about 150bht for 2kg, can actually taste the nice earthy potato... Forget Tesco chips, of any brand...
  9. The air-fryer is the healthier option, that is half the reason folk use them, less oil/fat body absorption...
  10. We have a 2015 Celerio GL CVT, so I know the ins and outs of our particular ride. Now 7 years old and still going strong. Though it does look a bit like a grannies car from factory, added wider taller rims does change the look and feel of the car. As a 1960's Mini Cooper and Cooper S driver, I found the Celerio did bring a smile to my face with its now fitted bigger footprints. Mini Cooper and the Celerio are both 998cc, Cooper at about 55hp to the Celerio 68hp, the Celerio having bundles of torque at low RPM to get the thing moving even with a load. The CVT is OK, the sports mode works, but rarely use it as the thing moves without effort. The 5 doors make things really easy for a small car, has 5 seatbelts too. A/C is excellent for small engine to power, the electric power steering too is excellent. Brakes will stop you on a sixpence. Though a small car, the inside is huge, the door size/openings are the same as my Vigo pickup, and so is the headroom, if you park next to a big saloon you can see how tall it is. Even has space in the rear for luggage, shopping. Also has central key fob locking. The car is not a slug, I fly around in it. It is also very happy on the open road, cruising at highway speeds is no problem. At 7 years old, what problems have we had. A/C compressor clutch, Suzuki changed it in situ, no full compressor replacement..........About 4000bht. Radiator/A/C electric fan motor.......Can't remember, but not expensive. Cabin A/C blower motor......2700bht Shimmed front brake caliper slide pins. 0bht, I did it. PS. The new shape Celerio, in my opinion, is 'orrible... Here is our Mini Suuper....
  11. In your local DIY store like, Thai Watsidu/DoHome, they have a few brands lined up to choose from...
  12. We bought a cheap one, A & J, think about 1000bht, just to see what it was about, it is 2 years old now, still going strong after a lot of use. ????
  13. Mine is/were Finext brand....Here it is, in the pic you can see the plate covering the fan and element...????
  14. You must have a posh one then..................????..................????
  15. Any big DIY store sells them..................
  16. We are on I think our fourth convector type, the round glass thing. Still worked perfect, except the fans had rusted away... To get to the fan to inspect it you must unscrew the plate covering the element to see the condition of the fan, the fan is not made of stainless, rusts away. Anyone that has one should do the inspection, saves all that rust dust grinding on your teeth.....????............????
  17. Not me, I just do my chips in it, Mrs. T cooks all sorts of things in it, that is, the air-fryer with a draw, very handy that, for not getting your hands burned. The other cooker is OK for big stuff, or if I do something that requires melted cheese on top....The problem with this type is the fan rusts away in no time, noticed by little black specs on top of your food. The thing has to be chucked away.
  18. Both have temp and timer controls...
  19. I have both, they both have their different uses, they are not the same in operation.......????
  20. Strange you post here then, isn't it. ???? Would be better, you telling us why Thai road culture is so bad. You could start with telling us why there are no visible traffic cops out there on Thai roads, why drivers take no notice of pedestrian crossings, etc.....????
  21. One f the best kitchen things we bought was an air-fryer. Cost around 1000bht, used near every day, plus don't buy much oil now. Recommended. Takes a bit of experimenting with, but when that is sorted, it's great...☺️
  22. All that is because there are no visible traffic cops....????
  23. The Toyota Smartcab, although has a bench, is a 2 seater pickup. https://www.zigwheels.co.th/en/new-cars/toyota/hilux-revo-smart-cab/specifications#:~:text=The ไฮลักซ์ รี,ground clearance of 216 mm.
