  1. Here's my baby...

He's a rooster, of course, but he keeps all the hens very happy. Big Eggs.... :o

    McG

You are quite right McG, the size of the eggs depends on the rooster. This one gives us eggs the size of Easter Eggs and they are available at most pet shops in Chiangmai.

  2. The way I've generally done it is:

    Phayao

    Ngao

    Phrae

    Denchai

    Uttaradit

Thong Saen Khan (there is an intersection with traffic lights on H'way 11 where you turn left. I think turning right takes you to Tron)

    Chat Trakarn

    Nakhon Thai

    Dan Sai

    Phu Rua

(You have achoice here whether you proceed in to Loei. There is a turn off after Phu Rua which can take direct to Wang Saphung but I can't remember how it is signposted. It is a narrow road but with very little traffic)

    Wang Saphung

    Nong Bua Lamphu

    Udon

I have done Lampang-Udon in less than 6 hours but that has been with a very heavy right foot.

  3. Yep, defo miss Bangers and take the Suphanburi road... nice and quiet and easy drivin', relatively. Did Phuket-CM in one back in April as couldn't be assed to stop over - 19 hours :o

If you want to make it a two day trip, Hua Hin or Cha-am are about half way with lots of good places to stay.

  4. I am moving from Phuket to Chiang Mai I know the way to BKK but would be gratefull if someone can tell me the route from BKK to Chiang Mai and aprox how many hours.

    Thks :o

Do you need to go to Bangkok? It's not on the way.

    Hi

No I want to go direct to CM if possible?

Petchburi, Nakhon Pathom, Kampaeng Saen, Suphanburi, Chainat, Nakhon Sawan is a pretty good road all the way and misses Bangkok. 4 lane highway all the way to Chiangmai except for a little bit in the Nakhon Pathom - Kampaeng Saen stretch.

  5. I am looking for some patio furniture - a sofa, couple of easy chairs, low table etc. The sort of thing that one could relax in at 5pm with a G&T, cocktail, Long Island Iced Tea even and watch the sun go down after a hard days work.

I'm not really fussed about what it's made of but have in mind cane or rattan but the stuff I've looked at seems on the pricey side. I've been up the Hang Dong Road and Ban Tawai but can't find anything suitable in the price range.

    Anyone got and ideas/recommendations?

    Thanks

A friend of mine imports patio furniture from India. I can forward you his contact details if you are interested.

  6. I receive Philipino Satelite TV and watch my rugby on Australia Network. Is there any body that can give me their itinery as to which games they intend to show and at what times ? Or come to that, any of the other sports channels.

My selection for the cup winners is South Africa, even though I support England. Having watched New Zealand in the Tri Nations I think they're over confident and it will be their Achilles Heal. Hopefully I've spelt that right ?

    Thanks

This is where you need to be:

  7. Had to some chemical testing work once where distilled water was a vital part of the tests. As it turned out, none of the distilled water supplied at gas stations was pure and a lot of it was not as good quality as bottled drinking water (although some brands of that turned out to be quite bad as well). We eventually had to get it from medical quality suppliers. The gas station stuff seems to be plastic bottles filled from wherever and sealed which might explain short battery life here.
