  1. In resent month been all over the place. range between 200/112  to 90/59  + always Pulse below 60.  last year Pulse average was 72 ?

Since 1991 taken 1 x mornings Prenolol 50mg, {Atenolol] cut down to 25 mg 6 months ago   + Evenings 1x Losartan 50 mg + 2mg Dozozin   [UK  NHS website states: Older adults should not usually take dozosin to treat high blood pressure]  ??

Yesterday was my Diabetic yearly Blood work day at Hospital, mostly all fine = A1c 5.9.  CKD down to Stage 2, all other tests perfect

Blood Pressure still a problem, every hour in the waiting room they re took my reading, see Dr then off to get loads of wires attached and a printout,  this was done again after 30 mins.  back to see Dr

163/64  with pulse rate of 53 !!    Dr advised to stop taking Prenolol and appointment to go again in 14 days ?   Why would a BP med I have taken for 32 years suddenly start making my Pulse rate drop ?

Yes i did look into this as apart from the mainboard on my old computer that is the only original part on it and i enjoyed seeing which parts made it a quicker pc.

I did look at the components on the Advice computer for 22k and there was not much difference if i bought these myself and put them together so thought a package deal would be better

Thee days there are always deals around...

Building yourself is much cheaper if you DO NOT want everything new..   when I built my present PC, I only wanted a new Motherboard + CPU + Ram, that was over 11 years ago, since then I bought a New case, SSD drive, new PSU. most resent a new Graphics card..

Haha my dinosaur has 16gb RAM but it's very easy an cheqp to add more

I expect there are better ones on Lazada but not sure I would trust them.

Looks OK . Good price just need Windows added.........  No idea why they say No VGA as the 5700G has Vega 8 graphics Integrated on the CPU

Never had anything other than AMD going back to the 70's even when I used a laptop it was AMD

  4. Not 100% sure  the problem  see = Windows 11 Home per installed believe is a Single language  only = Thai only

Thailand Windows 11 Home is Single language means you won't be able to change the display language and you could only add new keyboard or language to type but not change the display language of the Windows. You have to upgrade to Windows 11 Multilanguage or Windows 11 Pro.

I think all airlines should do it

Some people don't care about their weight health wise

Might encourage some people to lose some weight and not embarrass

    Themselves at the airport ????

Who decides if your over weight  ??

So say I am classed as obese by a  Dr at a Hospital I went to for some years + he was always on about diet...  My present Dr for some years say's I am well built  = height + age and weight = about 8 kg over weight and nothing to worry about...

So which is it ?? I am the same weight now near 73 as I was at 15......

  6. Depends on a number of things.....  Me would not live anywhere but out in the sticks, as I have done all my life in many Countries

back in 2003 found a nice Village and had a house built moved in in 2004......  back then turn off the main road = tarmac for 1 km, the next 6 km was a dirt track, these days it tarmac...  All houses here are detached 2 are 6 bedrooms, 2 are 4 bedrooms and the others are 3 bedrooms... now at almost 73 not likely to ever sell or move

Cheaper ? put it like this about 1 x week go to next Village to have a meal, prices have gone up,  now pay 40 baht..  yesterday a farmers wife came down the Village with her cart - bought big bunch bananas 30 baht,  most Veg at the local market is 3 - 10 baht [most are local farmers so straight from the fields]...  eg: Big Cauliflower 15 baht, 3 big carrots 10 baht...

For a few years now is very easy to do supermarket shopping on-line - comes next day = Tops/ Big C./Lotus's

Within 6 km there are 2 Private Hospitals + 2 Government Hospitals

Across the road one 3 bedroom house is rented out 6,500 baht per month, next Village friend rents 3 bed town house for 4,000 baht month.

Is this a "tell people you can't afford an iPhone without telling people you can't afford an iPhone" kind of statement?

An iPhone alone will not do much different from an Android phone, but as someone who uses many apple gadgets (computer, watch, TV, phone, iPad) they all play very nicely with each other and feel like an extension of one another.   Want to use the high quality camera from your phone as your "webcam", go ahead as it seamlessly uses it.   Want to use the iPad as a second screen for the computer, no problems.  Left your phone elsewhere in the house and want to pick up that call on the computer, no problems.  My gf uses an android phone and an iPad and even getting photos from one to another is a traumatic experience for her.

Switching to the best and most expensive Android phone available would be a huge downgrade, for me at least.

most expensive Android phone available  I notice  is the Z flip Galaxy @ 59,900 baht at AIS  but at Samsung Thailand  online Galaxy Z Fold ฿65- ฿75,900.00   ??

My Vivo 3,200 baht phone is over 4 years old and has been perfect until about a month ago, could not  hear anything . only with the speaker on, then the beep sound for messages stopped, last weekend the speaker started missing words = went to the shop.....  They had a number of brand new phones which had not sold in the back room.....  So went with the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, they unpacked it and undated it so is on Android 10 + transferred everything from the old phone = total cost 2,499 baht..

Always worth asking it the have any unsold phones and get a deal

The tooth was a little loose. It didn't come out quietly though. And I gave it a little clean for the pic.

A back tooth that I pulled a couple of years ago was much tougher. It's documented here on AN. That was a right sod. Twine kept slipping off. Had to do a little groove. Even with the groove, I had to use the double twist knot, from me carp fishing days, to get a good hold. But it saved me at least a 1000 baht.

This 'self-extraction' isn't for everyone. But it saves a lot of hassle and is all over in a few seconds. A word of advice/warning for any would be self-extractors out there. Do not use wire. It is very unforgiving and if you lasso the tooth badly can rip out a good part of yer gum. So use twine, it doesn't cut through flesh like wire.

On the other hand. If you have plenty of money and time; go see a dentist.

    .

Will use the dentist, filling dropped out of the back upper tooth earlier this year. Government Local Hospital said no good must come out > 2 injections > tooth pulled > total bill 328 baht...

  11. Everyone is different + what they eat effects Blood Sugar, there is NO one Diabetic Diet fits all

I did not have Pre Diabetes, when I 1st went to the Dr in UK my reading was 32.6  here that is around 600 mg/dl

Went to one Diabetic class, teacher stated drinks all you want of Diet drinks !!!

I followed what was advised years ago,  take your blood finger prick test before eating every meal then again 2 hours after eating, after 6 months or so you know what food spikes your blood sugar, so can reduce that item or cut it out all together..  some things I can eat where others will spike + the other way round

As for Diet Cola/Pepsi drinks not had for years, same with added salt + reduced Red Meat to 1 x week...  2015 was at Stage 5 CKD, told by the Dr try cutting these out, or go on Dialyses, no way so cut them out, past 6 years been just under Stage 3 CKD

I am pre-diabetic and try to completely avoid sugar in my diet. Restaurants here in Pattaya make that difficult.

One high-profile Norwegian restaurant uses sweetened condensed milk in their scrambled eggs. Another popular

restaurant, owned by an Australian, sprinkles sugar on French Fries. You can’t reason with them because they deny

using sugar in their recipes. Has anyone else noticed this???

Think you need to read up on Diabetes

I am from England Diabetic over 35 years, so tend to read up on the NHS websites

    https://www.diabetes.org.uk/guide-to-diabetes/enjoy-food/eating-with-diabetes/food-groups/sugar-and-diabetes#:~:text=You don't need to,diabetes is a bit complicated.

Can diabetics eat food with sugar?

You don't need to cut out sugar from your diet if you have diabetes

Diabetic hypoglycemia occurs when someone with diabetes doesn't have enough sugar (glucose) in his or her blood. Glucose is the main source of fuel for the body and brain, so you can't function well if you don't have enough

sprinkles sugar on French Fries = No but then as I have CKD [kidney problem] I do not sprinkles Salt on French Fries ether

Thailand has a high prevalence rate for diabetes

Yes they have, oddly some diabetic are like bean poles, I visit my Hospital diabetic department every 3 months, 50% of diabetic there are small or under weight..

3 friends [ladies] that are old 60 - 75 are on insulin 2 x day are short and painfully skinny..  the house next door the Father is 83 and 6 house up the Village the Father is 91 both on Insulin and skinny,   There is only 63 houses in the Village, yet 50% are Diabetic mixed ages and weight..  Often it appears the Father + Son + Grand children are all diabetic

"...it becomes very difficult to solve or send back".

Huh?  No it doesn't.  What's so difficult about Lazada's return/refund policy for faulty goods?

Maybe another issue is where you live ?

Last month bought a Drum for my Printer - Brothers DR1000

They sent Brothers DR630... = to long will not fit, reported it and got the return labels,  only the Delivery driver will not take it as most phone/take it to there depot  = phoned they gave me the address of the depot were it must go to

As I live out in the sticks = mostly always buy everything on-line....  the address of the depot is 50 km from were I live to do 100 km return trip will cost far more than the item is worth so it is sat here, it is not the 1st from Lazada or Shopee for that matter

on the other hand re topic buy from Advice is delivered next day. [as was my Brother DR1000 as I needed it

Been here over 20 years and never had to submit a TM30. If we go to stay out of province or any hotel, my wife checks us in and I have never been asked for my passport. Also have never been asked for a TM30 at Immigration. What is the problem?

Yes same here........ Detached house had build in 2003

March 2013 doing my 90 day report they Immigration wanted the house owners i.d. copy and House book and copy. drove home and got it [always have copies in draw]

got 90 day report + another same size slip stapled in Passport,  always keep that 2nd slip in Passport, still in new passport [5 years ago] + new 90 day report every 90 days, never been asked for a TM30  or any questions about TM30

Have asked before on here a few years ago, but just as confused there was many different answers,  appears the TM 30 last for life it you do not move ??   never had any questions asked on yearly extensions so just let sleeping dog be as they say.....

Likewise stay out of province or any hotel, my partner checks us in never shown my passport in 20 years

If never having chickenpox, then you certainly don't/didn't need the vaccine.  If that's the one you are referring to.

Also don't bother with any of the vaccines since early childhood, and don't seem to get any of the symptoms coming with those illnesses.

Rarely got a flu, and if covid, one day runny nose, as symptom of last variant or so.

Apparently a decent immune system.  Tetanus, but that's way over due for booster.

    serious allergic reaction to Tetanus

  18. serious allergic reaction after my 1st injection in Hospital for 5 days = Dr said Do Not have the 2nd part of the Vaccine

Never had smallpox  or vaccine as a kid

Advised not to get any Covid Vaccine, so never had + never had Covid.

There are  few of us that just cannot take Vaccines + for me many Med's  that also have serious allergic reaction, is so difficult  must read and re read label's [do web search etc]  mostly always see the same Dr but odd times is a different Dr if the Med's are different must do a search as to 100% what is in them
