  1. Soi 9 Kao Noi. Gilbey's 1 litre 470 baht.
  2. There's always Sukhumvit; this has been under construction for at least THREE years!
  3. The police station is closed then. Not that they are open for business most other days.
  4. Thailand should grasp the nettle which most civilised countries did sixty years ago. All strays must be taken off the sois and killed. Thais are funny people; they wear face masks for hygiene yet see nothing wrong with dog dirt/urine on every street in the land. The dogs make driving more hazardous; they attack/kill/disfigure/infect but nothing is done.
  5. Why not form a group of professionals to raid farms that do this? They could wear a brown uniform and be known everywhere as the BIB; a force for good. Once the burning has been stamped out they could then turn their attention to the roads to save more lives.
  6. How many arrests have Pattaya Plod made of taximeter drivers not using meters? As always Thai laws are open to interpretation and who pays most.
  7. Did they chat about no-meter taximeters fleecing the tourists?
  8. How many of the taximeter drivers had working meters? NONE - this is just a guess as they are above the law.
  9. The driver only stayed because his wife was in the car. He looked 'spaced out' because he had 'just taken his meds.' This could result in a 500 baht fine.
  10. First they need to install drinks machines for the millions of tourists that don't have the Thai app PromptPay on their phones.
  11. Does that sum include all the freebies/junkets from VIPs and their gardeners? I'd love to be able to afford to fly Thai.
  12. Wearing a uniform seems to be the trigger for corruption. (Trigger intended pun.)
  13. The politicians are doing their bit by not turning up for work.
  14. Waiting for an honest taxi-driver story about any of the hundreds of taximeters with meters that don't work. Or a police prosecution.
  15. More mud clinging to RTP's reputation. Why is it allowed to continue?
  16. It is a fact of life that RTP don't work unless there's money to be made. Surely this is a nice little earner; confiscate vehicle; store for three months; sell or destroy unless all fines/storage charges are met?
  17. I have heard that 90+% of fines go unpaid. Surely this would be a nice little earner for a couple of cops to turn up and confiscate the car/bike until all fines and expenses (parking in compounds) are paid?
  18. Why did he leave 600 baht cash in the car? Was he scared of ladyboy pickpockets?
  19. a new police-run casino; allowing prostitution in areas other than soi six; using soi dogs for target practice. No where on the list was there any discussion about road safety.
  20. He's in Dubai or at his mum's house.
