  1. Agreed. Hence the oxymoron 'Thai justice'.
  2. Surely this is a job for the police? No wonder they shut the scammers down.
  3. 'Armed Forces Ready for Educational Activities' - is there another general election already?
  4. Agreed. Presumably all the girls 'dancing' were paid for mouthing their bang-bang words. Thai Tik-Tokkers are so hypocritical. 'racist, sexist and insulting toward Thai men and women.' Who are all this and more (particularly towards Indians.)
  5. Expect a public bonfire of what looks suspiciously like self-raising flour.
  6. Most Pattaya pedestrians are watching for the surface dangers; loose tiles; missing manhole covers; degraded paving.
  7. Yet 8 heavily armed/armoured photocops took part in this charade.
  8. Not just school lunches; they do this with elections too.
  9. Totally agree. If Thai fathers were made to pay maintenance for their children it would slow the desperation of young mothers rushing to work in the big city bars.
  10. Just follow the Grand Prix calendar; he's at every race - in the VIP tent. No wonder Interpol can't find him, they're not allowed in.
  11. The real villains are the millers who exploit the rice farmers on price if it is not dried. Surely all petrol fumes are removed when milling? RTP refuse to implement the law on seatbelts in the back of pickups; they will do the same with this nonsensical law (unless it's been a lean month).
  12. Mere hypocrisy, like protectively blurring out cigarettes and guns on TV when they are on full view on every corner where there's a cop (not many admittedly!)
  13. 'the political will to stop smog problem?' When there's an election in the air, convoys of slow moving speaker-vans grind ordinary traffic to a standstill whilst broadcasting a political message no one can hear. The rest of the time it's just ordinary vans hired by deluded business men who think this drums up business when in fact it alienates potential customers.
  14. Bread, butter AND oats - very healthy.
  15. The picture says everything you need to know about Thailand's Health & 'Safty' laws.
  16. In Hat Yai the population trebles each weekend as Malay men cross over for their oats.
  17. This is a minor scandal and all because the brown envelope was late this month. All new laws are ignored unless they benefit the BIB.
  18. Surely this was a clue as to the sort of 'teacher' he was dealing with?
  19. Another triumph for Pattaya Plod.
  20. Difficult to schedule a consultation with consultants?
  21. This story directly under the one about the wife stabbing her husband illustrates the myth of Thai family values.
  22. There are meat broilers on every corner; most wats burn their own rubbish daily; traffic jams everywhere caused by selfish, brainless drivers; even convoys of slow-moving speaker vans holding up traffic to broadcast a message that no one will hear. I suspect lung disease kills more people annually than the totals for Covid and road traffic accidents.
  23. This is at least the 2nd time this sentence has appeared in unrelated stories. He was my hero but doesn't belong in stories like this.
  24. And all the Thai motor bike riders who puncture their exhaust pipes to let you know they're coming.
