  1. Moving from east of Bangkok to the north of the city:

2 weeks ago, an employee at a True counter tells us I cannot have the same phone number but I can keep my e-mail address. After installing the phone line, it will take one day to be able to use my e-mail at the new location...

Later... another one tells us it will take 2 weeks before using the same e-mail address at the new location...

Now, the main office tell us it's impossible to have the same e-mail address as the new location in that part of the city doesn't use the same server! I need a new e-mail address.

    Dumb system...

Have you experienced the same situation? Thank you.

  2. He pressed two fingers kind of hard in the wrist pulse area for about a minute with his eyes closed.  He relayed to me my past medical problems i have had and was 100% on.  Someone told me once there was a name for this-forgot, and many are very accurate. I was amazed :o

Acupressure. Pulse reading in this case. In Thailand, Chinese-Thai selling herbal medecine do pulse reading.

  3. Regarding the map above: Skytrain station Ratchatevi, take exit 2. Walk 3 minutes and turn right at the intersection; another 10-15 minutes to get there.

If it's impossible to find a new battery in that builing, find Newton computers (Apple distributor) on the 3rd floor, room 319. Tel: 02 255 6754. Ask for Mr. Moon. He knows people in Panthip who are able to open old batteries and replace the stuff inside... He has done it on one of his old laptops.

  4. There's a place in Bangkok called 'Bang Pho' where the factories/shops are that build furniture -  We had our whole house done for about 600,000.

Many of the shops have built (but unfinished) chairs, tables, beds etc - you can buy them & choose what kind of finish you want.

To put price into perspective - on a recent shopping trip there, I got a king-size teak bed for 16,000 Baht. Teak Bedside drawer units for 3,800 Baht, Teak coffee table for 6,000 Baht. These prices are no more than Index & this stuff will last much longer. No MDF, no self assembly, no falling apart after 5 years.

Personally, I'd recommend a shop there called 'Tai Seng' their stuff is top notch.

Great. Directions please ? always looking for different places

    Soi Prachanarumit, Bang Po.

With the subway: exit Bang Sue + a short taxi ride.
