Hey, are you guys using the dictation function in Mountain lion? I love it! I'm going to start getting very very lazy to type anything from now on. I used Dragon Dictation up until now but it was quite inaccurate, especially compared to the mountain lion dictation.

The only drawback is that you have to have an Internet connection and it also seems to have to be fairly good connection for it to work clearly. But it is super accurate, at least for me. I think I usually only have to correct what are two things after every couple paragraphs. You have to dictate in small chunks of maybe two or three sentences at a time at the most, but that seems okay because then you can look back at what you just dictated and make sure everything is okay. In fact, this whole thing was just dictated in about the past minute and a half. I love this feature!

Hotspot from the iPhone works great. No need to get 3G.

In BKK using true. Took about two hours to download and another half an hour to install. Works great!

i have 10.8 installed since a few months already on my Notebook ...

but it has some changes which i personally do not like (like missing web server options) (not somethings does kill you .. (can still start/stop via command line)

and some lib's are not finding the way home ... because with 10.8 the sandboxing (which was started with Lion) will be now enforced.

Those are probably things I can do without, though I can see how they would be important for some.

Overall, I'm looking forward to the user interface updates....are they a big improvement to ML or just a little better, or what. Does the OS operate faster?

Looking at the new features, sounds great and can't wait! They mention too that Siri will be localized for more countries. Would love to have Siri localized for Thailand. Any way to find out if that is going to happen?

I'm excited to get it, but may wait a few days just to make sure it isn't blowing up people's macs.....

I don't get involved much in the technical side of dieting but have followed Atkins with some success.

First two weeks very little carbs.

After this I plunge in with my own variations I have one very interesting one.

100grms are about 59 carbs

You can make an 'oatmeal' with flax seed. Almost no carbs and certainly does the oatmeal trick for me. Plus, lots and lots of fiber!!!!

Foodland (at least the Foodland on Ramintra Road) sells it.

IMHO, if you attend any school in Thailand - whether government, private or international, you should be given the chance to learn, practice and speak Thai, - and that applies to non-Thai students as well.

MOE requires that all students with thai passport or nationality must study Thai at least five hours a week. for non-thais it is optional.

Can't read or write their parents' language. Just a dam_n shame, the incredible depth and breadth of the native literature that will be unavailable to them. Their brains are probably being horribly altered at these schools too, what with those wicked "critical thinking" and "analytical skills" being indoctrinated into them.

Do you already have some movies and shows? Torrents of stuff waiting for you, if you want to go that route. There are several good apps that can read all kinds of movie media - just look a bit and you will find some free ones. VLC does a good job. Then you can put AVI, .Mov, Mp4 etc etc into your iPad.

You can also download the kindle app for free, and if you do a torrent search just look for kindle books and believe me you will have enough reading material for the next couple lifetimes. If you want to stay legit then just order your books thorough amazon.

I used to think he was quite the social messenger, then he wrapped himself in a Thai flag, riding an elephant, prostituting himself for the $$$ in Beer Chang commercials. Then came his insidious and poisonous energy drinks, with commercials wrapped up in nationalism and folk music costumes. He wants to sell his snake oil no problem, just don't try to proclaim loving and caring about the welfare of your kinfolk while at the same time promoting poisoning your audience with that crap.

If you want a good carb food that won't spike insulin (in most people), try whole grain oats.

Black beans or lentils, or barley are good too, but not too much.

Fine any technical school 1 million baht per student caught fighting. Close any school for one week per student caught fighting.

It is well known that the owners and directors of these school implicitly encourage their sheep to fight for their school. So, hit them where it hurts!!! If money is at stake, you can bet they will curb their minions in.

Why would you stay away from the iPhone? Just because you don't like them? After a year and a half stint with Android I went back to the iPhone.
