Thai baht soars as voters back pro-democracy parties
ukrules replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That's right, it's the same with the dollar if anyone cares to check. The whole story is just an untruth - the markets did nothing, it's almost like nobody cares - which is probably near the truth. It's been ranging around this level since May 5.- 65 replies

Well they're not voting for a president here, it's a parliamentary system. Wouldn't the worst case scenario be that they are one MP down and they can choose another leader and there you have it - your new Prime Minister. -

So it's not a company, which means he can't own any shares. Is the company traded on the Thai stock exchange and are his shares valid or not? A company that is not trading is not a company at all. I believe the term they use in the UK is 'dormant' and after a period of time being dormant they are no longer companies, I think the term is 'dissolved' but I'm not 100% on that. This is smaller Ltd companies though that are not publicly traded. -

No, they can't. Why do you think that in order to get certain types of work permit you need to get a police report yourself and submit it to them? The reason is because the Canadian government are not stupid and don't hand over all their data to the Thais. They do however hand it all over to the US Government.
