i booked a lion air flight to bangkok this morning and i could get a a seat on any plane at any time on thursday or friday
[…] tourists have heard about 12 am lock down city chiang mai
high season here ... yeah right
I’m going to Chiang Mai today (Friday the 4th) and want to get a plane as late as possible, definitely later than 2 p.m.
My options:
Air Asia have only a single flight with available seats: leaves at 14.50 and costs ฿3,389.18.
Nok Air have three flights. 14.30 for ฿3,076.64 or ฿3,543.93 for the plane at 19.00 or 20.25.
Lion Air have four flights. 15.05 for ฿3,325.00 or ฿3,725.00 for one of the evening flights.
Thai Airways have two seats left on their flight at 17.20 for ฿3,680.00.
I’m used to paying ฿1,500-1,800 for a ticket.
Airlines increase the prices as the date of travel approaches.
If you book on the same day as you fly then you pay much more than someone who books in advance.

That seems to rule out Mozilla. I'd try the same with Chrome and see if there's any difference.
In the following I have 14 separate pages open in Firefox, none of them in tabs - all separate windows.
Chrome has 2 pages open, both in tabs in a single window.
Firefox memory usage : 1.7 GB
Chrome usage : 1.2 GB
When Firefox hits 2.2+ GB the problems start for me which is kind of surprising as I have 32 GB of RAM in my computer.
-
I would look at Mozilla Firefox as the probable culprit. Firefox often starts to crap out when memory usage goes above 2 GB, people have been complaining about this for years. It can slow everything down.
If you close the firefox process in the task manager your computer will probably continue operating normally. Restarting it will allow it to auto open the pages you were using.
Are you using the 64 bit version of firefox ?

You will not need to leave the country. You will be able to do everything at immigration.
As explained above it all depends what type of visa you're using at the time when you apply.
For me I didn't have to leave, I was on a tourist visa extension at the time but others have confirmed above they did in fact have to leave to cancel their existing long term visa.

Carter said U.S-backed local forces in Syria are engaging IS fighters in the last remaining pocket of access between Syria and Turkey to the north. The U.S. also is helping a coalition of Syrian Arabs in northeastern Syria, fighting alongside Kurdish forces, that has pushed IS out of the town of al-Hawl and at least 347 square miles of surrounding territory.
Yeah, I'm sure thats what's really happening.

I had the same thing you need to leave the country to cancel the visa.
Or you must have a divorce certificate then you can cancel it at immigration.
I left the country when i came back they waited for me and arranged it all.
But you can't use Don Muang it has to be the other one.
That is interesting, it's a completely different procedure from being on a tourist visa / tourist visa extension when applying.

Contact them and ask for an application form.
You can pay by direct transfer in Baht, I seem to recall this is their preferred method of payment. Once your application is accepted they will send you the payment account details.
You can do it without leaving the country, I believe it doesn't matter what type of visa you're in the country on at the time. The new 5 year visa with its 1 year stamp will take over from whatever you had before.
I was on a 30 day tourist visa extension when I got my 5 year visa inserted at Chaeng Wattana last year, there were no problems and I didn't need to leave the country. In fact I still haven't left in the last year and a half. I did a 1 year extension of stay in June.
I suggest you make use of the concierge service and have them meet you by pre arranged appointment when you go to Chaeng Wattana - this way you don't need to lift a finger or speak to anyone except the concierge - just sit around for 10-15 minutes while they do all the work and you're all done.
There is no extra charge for the concierge service, its included in the fee.

From what I've been reading in various places it's becoming increasingly clear that Turkey are trading with ISIS.
They're also fighting the localised enemies of ISIS as it suits their own agenda.
Bombing these supply lines is a must. ISIS are the recipient of the weapons and there's of talk of oil making its way back to Turkey.

The poor guy. Shame on the people who had an opportunity to help him but didn't.
This is precisely the point. He should have been detained securely and referred to mental health professionals who could evaluate him for treatment.
Back in the UK we would refer to this as being 'sectioned under the mental health act', I don't know what they do here but I'm sure there's places available to send people when they need to be treated even if they don't want it.

From the report in Pattaya One News the tablets appear to be
MANO 10 MG is 10 MG of Diazepam, brand name Valium.
I suspect they dosed the drink with something really strong like a pre dissolved solution of phenobarbital.
One person will distract you for a few moments while another will pour a small amount of prepared liquid into your drink - this contains the already dissolved strong drug. It takes just a couple of seconds to do, then they wait for the results.
Xanax can't do this, if anything they probably used the xanax to calm their own nerves while robbing these old geezers.

Every now and again I need to swerve to avoid some idiot who swings his door wide open and steps out in front of my car.
I'm very conscious about putting myself in danger on the road (I simply won't do it) so I will check my mirrors before making the swerve.
I only ever make that move if it's safe for ME to do so. If it's not safe for me then do the emergency stop but will continue 'driving in a straight line'.
Look before you leap....

So on one hand we're advised not to overreact by President Omaba, now just days later this statement is issued by the State Department :
It's a worldwide alert for all US citizens.
http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings/worldwide-travel-alert.html
The State Department alerts U.S. citizens to possible risks of travel due to increased terrorist threats. Current information suggests that ISIL (aka Da’esh), al-Qa’ida, Boko Haram, and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics, using conventional and non-conventional weapons and targeting both official and private interests. This Travel Alert expires on February 24, 2016.Lots more drivel at the link above.
Irony in action.
