Thailand Tackles US Tariffs: Plans for Trade Reform Unveiled
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If they do, I wouldn't be surprised if the Thai retailers keep the prices the same and pocket the difference.- 35 replies

Great to see the EU getting a taste of their own medicine. What goes around comes around.

Thai Restaurant Sparks Outrage with Controversial 'Skinny Discount'

Good idea. Encourage the chubsters to eat less since they pay more. -
BBC Faces Backlash Over Use of Term ‘Revert’ in Islam Coverage
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I only go to the BBC website to see how the left are twisting the news to fit their leftist Woke agenda. Same as I very occasionally read The Guardian to see what the lefty trolls on here will be posting tomorrow. My infrequent (but amusing) visits makes me "one of their most valuable readers" apparently. Hence the constant begging for donations and imminent collapse. The only place the propaganda seems to have worked is The UK. Everywhere else they have to use lawfare to keep right wing politicians out of power aka Le Pen. In the UK they use lawfare to silence or jail the indigenous population in order to facilitate the takeover. -
FTSE plummets to one-year low amid global stock market chaos
JonnyF replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
I honestly don't think they did. DEI Lammy, Rachel from accounts, Rayner, Miliband, Cooper etc. It's like the opening sequence to The Muppet Show. -

They also refer to Hamas as "Freedom Fighters". They are a lost cause. -
Riding on red plates in anther province
JonnyF replied to banglay's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I had a red plate on a motorcycle that I bought in Phuket. All other bikes I've bought (all in Bangkok) have had no plate until the real one arrives. I think red plates on new motorcycles is just a Phuket thing but maybe other forum members can correct me on that? Either way, I just ride them as normal until the real plate arrives. Multiple provinces, before and after dark etc. Never had an issue. I just carry the proof of purchase and por lor bor until the tax/plate is delivered. I don't think it's one of the laws that is extensively enforced. -
World stock markets plunge again as Trump doubles down on tariffs
JonnyF replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
The man is not for turning. Everyone knows that investments may go down as well as up. That's why a long term approach is always the correct one.- 31 replies

FTSE plummets to one-year low amid global stock market chaos
JonnyF replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Pure hyperbole to justify more backtracking on his empty promises. I bet Labour are rubbing their hands together. "This is even better than the imaginary 20 Billion black hole". -
BBC Faces Backlash Over Use of Term ‘Revert’ in Islam Coverage
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
They don't try to BE neutral, they try to APPEAR neutral and they can't even do that any more. They deserve to be held to a higher standard to other outlets due to the way they are funded. Cut off the public funding and they will be free to trot out their left wing propaganda like CNN all they like. They created their "fact checking" service to try to be the "arbiters of truth" but they hired staff to run it who had lied on their CV and the fact checking service constantly gets their facts wrong. They are like a microcosm of Britian itself, flailing around in a pit of misguided Woke ideology. -
IPhones to Hit $3.5K? Trump Tariffs Spark Apple Revolt
JonnyF replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Lots of mights, mays, potentiallys and coulds in that article. Interesting that a 54% import tariff "could" increase the price by 218%. 😄 I picked up my 16 Pro Max a couple of weeks ago. Good phones. I predict they will sell well. -
UK Turkish Barber Shops: How Criminal Gangs Use Them to Launder Money

Yes, really. Sounds like you've never been to one of these places. You live, but I see absolutely no evidence of you learning. -
Labour MP Dan Norris Arrested Over Alleged Child Sex Offences
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
What a bunch of degenerates Labour are. When they are not beating up their constituents like Mike Amesbury they appear to be abusing children. If convicted, expect nothing more than a slap on the wrist like Amesbury. They need the cells for the right wing social media posters and the exposers of the grooming gangs. -

Concerning, but not surprising. Time to defund the BBC and let the people decide whether they wish to pay for this propaganda. -
