Thanks for everything Boris. You stood up when the nation needed you and got Brexit done. The man for the moment. That is what you will be remembered for. Unlike Theresa the traitor. Pizza? Cake? Pathetic distractions from the spiteful left because they couldn’t defeat your political ideology. A knighthood surely awaits. Top man.

Those controlling the RFU are about as woke as it comes. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/rfu-israel-folau-pride-flag-30069044 The Premier league suspending their rules about non political statements for left wing causes like BLM also makes your doubts seem pretty blinkered to say the least. Of course once the dollar signs are flashing with Saudi owners injecting money into premier league clubs and Qatar hosting world cups they drop the morals sharpish but that type of hypocrisy is endemic in the left. At this point, the hypocrisy defines them.

You seem to be ignoring many factors in mining these precious metals. No concern for the methods by which it is mined such as child labour? https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/jan/03/child-labour-toxic-leaks-the-price-we-could-pay-for-a-greener-future You also seem to be ignoring the fact that many of these batteries are manufactured in China where they have little regard for environmental regulations. Still at least you can feel good about driving an EV to save the planet. Oh wait you a minute, you aren't even driving an EV, just pontificating on a forum ????.
-
Why are you focusing only on carbon? Why do you focus on the negatives of ICE and ignore the negatives of EV such as the mining of precious metals such as lithium and the damage that such mining causes? If everyone switched to EV there is no way that wind and solar could recharge them all. We'd use gas powered stations to generate the electricity. It's flawed logic. That's before you start worrying about disposing of the batteries and the wind turbine blades. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2020-02-05/wind-turbine-blades-can-t-be-recycled-so-they-re-piling-up-in-landfills#xj4y7vzkg As I said, if people really want to save the environment, use a Honda Super Cub. Few resources to build, efficient, clean. Out of interest, do you drive an EV or are you just pontificating?

No surprise here. Last time he called him Rashid Sanook. https://www.yahoo.com/now/president-joe-biden-mispronounces-prime-072650164.html Wrong name. Wrong title. Whatever. It's Joe Biden, he does it all the time. At least he had the good grace to add some condescension into the mix with the 'promotion' remark.

Yes they're a con, a fad. There is nothing green about mining precious metals for batteries, nothing green about the methods of generating the electricity. The range is poor and they take time to recharge if you're lucky enough to find a station. If you're serious about "saving the planet", you're better off buying a Honda Super Cub and using Grab or renting a car when you really need one. Of course, if you wish to virtue signal while simultaneously flaunting your wealth - buy the top of the range Tesla.

Trump says he's been indicted in classified docs probe
JonnyF replied to Scott's topic in World News
Whilst I believe this is politically motivated, I would be glad to see Trump stand down from politics. He's had his time, the future is DeSantis. The US needs fresh, younger blood than the current selection of stumbling, mumbling geriatrics on offer. -
Joe Biden says it could be time for a British NATO boss.

Breathtaking clarity and vision from Joe once again. -
More sportswashing from the Saudis. They're doing the same in boxing. Upsetting the apple cart by offering obscene amounts of money in site fees to host big fights, leading to boxers turning down sensible offers from elsewhere to wait for the Saudi payday, and essentially stopping big fights from happening. It's one of the reasons the heavyweight division has ground to a halt this year. Same in football. Unfortunately the lefty virtue signallers like Lineker soon forget their principles when the dollar signs from the middle east start flashing.

The Thai people have been incredibly tolerant of the military since 2014. Too tolerant IMO, bordering on weak. However, if Pita is blocked from becoming PM I believe we will see the end of such tolerance. It could get very messy indeed.

The Official Manchester United Thread
JonnyF replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Football forum
Good to see Moyes winning the Europa final with West Ham. Makes you wonder what he could have achieved if he'd have been given a fair crack at United. In fairness, they did better than I'd expected in the FA Cup final against City. Obviously the penalty was a gift which they were unable to capitalize on but they did push them in the last few minutes. -
Tucker Carlson drops first episode of bare-bones Twitter show
JonnyF replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
A staggering amount of views. This is huge for Carlson and for Twitter. Free speech for Carlson. The lefties are gonna hate this, I wonder how they are going to try to silence him? ????. -
And the cherry on the icing on the cake? Trudeau. ???? It's good to see Dupre brought back to face the music. If these things are just forgotten about then Thailand would become a free for all in terms of assassinations of the various criminals who reside here. Not really the image they are looking for.

In all seriousness, if he was my father I wouldn't let him boil the kettle. Or drive a car. How can someone with such cognitive deterioration be allowed to run a country? I can only assume it's very convenient for the people behind him who are pulling his strings. They can write his speeches, decide on his policy direction without being in the public eye and doing all the public engagements. Not exactly great for Democracy though...

Advice for a newbie buying farm land in Thailand
JonnyF replied to Steve910's topic in Farming in Thailand Forum
Main things I checked before buying... 1. Is it in a flood area. 2. Is the soil OK (salty?) 3. Is water/electricity available. 4. Is 4G/5G available via my SIM. 5. Are there any plans to put a highway through it any time soon? -
I'm recently having a lot of aches and pains in my body
JonnyF replied to ubonr1971's topic in Health and Medicine
Have you had a Covid booster lately? I suffered similar issues for about 6 months after my Pfizer booster. Old injuries (broken collarbone and shoulder) starting to ache, weakness in the side of the body that had the jab, loss of flexibility etc. Just a thought... -
I'm sure there will be multiple more falls to choose from before the campaign ads are finalized. Even when he doesn't fall he looks like he's about to. He reminds me of one of those walking robot toys from the 80's that never worked properly and kept toppling over every 4 or 5 steps. But I can certainly agree that having someone so clearly suffering from the effects of old age in such a position is terrible for Democracy. If Biden and Trump are the best the US has to offer, it's an all time low for American politics.
