  1. Not really that smart and savvy. The condos are still being sold, they are just being sold to wealthier people who then rent them out, using the rent they receive from the "smart and savvy" renters to pay off the mortgage and ending up with an asset. The "smart and savvy" renters on the other hand, still have nothing after 20 years. The reason they aren't buying is that they can't afford it. Nothing to do with being smart and savvy.
  2. Exactly. The West has largely accepted LGBT and looks what's happening. Now they don't want mere acceptance, they want to use whatever toilets and changing rooms they want, they want to choose which prison they go to, they want to dance erotically down the street half naked to celebrate their pride, they want to force people to refer to them by whatever pronouns they deem appropriate, often under the threat of violence. https://nypost.com/2023/05/09/starbucks-fires-trans-worker-who-accused-customer-of-being-transphobic/ The likes of Rusiia, China etc. are probably looking at what's happening in the West and thinking "Nah, not worth the bother. It will never be enough for them anyway". Massive over-reach by the LGBT "community" which will end up backfiring.
  3. Thanks for the sensible response. It's a welcome change from the lazy insults from other less thoughtful posters. So it would appear that LGBT paradise is difficult to define. Which was clearly the point I was making. Others would disagree with you and want more or less rights on each point. An interesting debate on what the end goal of the LGBT "community" actually wants (if such a community really exists, but that's another debate). Douglas Murray for example is a gay man who would probably not want the rights I suggested others might and certainly wouldn't call it paradise. Now, there's one gay man I could really get behind (if you'll excuse the pun).
  4. The safest pronoun to use when unsure. Just trying to be polite.
  5. And quite another labeling something as homophobic and then being unable to define one single thing that was homophobic.
  6. Almost all. Yet you can't name one. Interesting. It's almost as if you've got nothing.
  7. When they've got nothing they just throw out insults that they cannot back up when challenged.
  8. I see. You cannot pinpoint a single homophobic statement in there. You've got nothing.
  9. What is LGBT "paradise" anyway? Somewhere where children under 16 can have body parts removed because they think they might like to be the opposite gender? Somewhere where people are arrested/pilloried for using the pronoun for someone's biological sex because the individual they are referring to wishes to be another gender? Somewhere where men can wear a dress and then use the women's toilets/changing rooms? Or go to women's prisons? Somewhere where we have pride days every week/month so the LBGT community can flaunt their sexuality by dancing erotically while half naked in the streets? Because if that's "paradise", maybe Thailand is better off as it is?
  10. Sometimes we don't see things are they are, but as we are.
  11. The whole post was spot on. The fact it highlights some issues you would rather not accept doesn't make it a rant.
  12. Exactly. I am a fairly liberal person (in the classic sense of the word, not the politcially hijacked sense) but I feel no need to celebrate it. I have no issue with LBGT or whatever. Each to their own. But I have no desire to celebrate people being gay any more than celebrating they are straight, Catholic, short, thin, black, blonde, freckled or whatever. Perhaps if they stopped drawing attention to their differences they would just fit in more easily and be more readily accepted. Of course, it appears that being treated as normal is the last thing many of these people want. They want to be the centre of attention, special, to be celebrated, admired. Hence the parades where they dance around half naked flaunting their sexuality, often in front of children.
  13. Oh look, another defender of Sturgeon's hate speech. Nice deflection BTW, but may I remind you that this thread is about Sturgeon's arrest for stealing SNP funds for personal gain. I don't recall Truss being arrested for such a crime, nor is she the subject of the thread. Back on topic please. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/11/europe/nicola-sturgeon-snp-arrested-gbr-intl/index.html
  14. She hasn't been charged "yet". However, police are generally reluctant to arrest such public figures unless they have very strong grounds to believe that there is a case to be answered. I would expect charges in the next few weeks no matter how many times she pretends to have lost her memory. Yes, Scottish "Independence" (if you can call leaving the UK to join the EU as seeking Independence) has never looked such a distant dream. I'm surprised Humza Yousaf even supports it given the number of white politicians in the EU (which he clearly has issues with).
  15. Whilst I dislike her policies and her lies and cover-ups, my main focus on her (and the topic of this thread BTW) is due to the recent arrest for misappropriating funds which were donated to her political cause. I find such behaviour immoral in the extreme, especially from one who loves to appear so virtuous. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jun/11/nicola-sturgeon-arrestedquestioned-in-snp-finances-inquiry As someone who supports that cause (however misguided), I find your continued support of her somewhat irrational. It's like supporting the thief in court who picked your pockets.
  16. Do you have anything to add other than "what about the English and the Tories"? The attempts at deflection really are hilarious.
  17. In that case, I'm surprised you're not more annoyed that Sturgeon took funds donated for the cause and spent it on a luxury motorhome amongst other things. Seems you were led up the garden path. At least the mystery surrounding her sudden resignation has been cleared up.
  18. Disgraceful cruelty. Some people shouldn't be allowed to own these magnificent dogs. All mine has to worry about is getting his favourite spot on the couch for his afternoon snooze. ????
  19. I'd have to agree. We saw the same thing with Hunter's laptop. The "liberal" media is a disgrace and full of double standards. Fortunately, these things tend to surface in the end.
  20. Not unlike the mocking way Brexiteers are categorized. I guess you don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot. Typical left wing hypocrisy. Not unlike the way you think nationalism is fine when it is Scottish nationalism, but unacceptable from other nationalities. Plenty of examples of Sturgeon's hateful rhetoric. She just uses the word "detest" instead of "hate". https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/nicola-sturgeon-and-the-politics-of-hatred/
  21. Yes it makes her odious. You can deflect as much as you like but the way she has tried to manipulate the Scottish people in order to fulfill her own personal ambitions for power is revolting. IMO it reflects poorly on the Scottish electorate that so many people were foolish enough to fall for her hate speech and general divisiveness. The news of her arrest was great news for many and completely humiliating for her. Her political career is in tatters. Hopefully she is charged and goes to jail. The fact that her replacement is Hamza Yousaf is more great news for the future of the Union.
  22. The childish way she pretends to not remember anything when being questioned for starters.
