Preaching to kids about LGBTQ+++ and sexuality is quite disturbing . Especially the really young ones. Take them to the beach and let them have fun building sandcastles or something. Let them make their own minds up on these issues when they are old enough to properly understand them.

The European Central Bank hikes rates again to 3.5%

More bad news for the EU economy. Maybe they can create some more rules and regulations to get out of the current mess? https://www.euronews.com/2023/06/08/europes-economy-enters-technical-recession-as-households-struggle-with-cost-of-living-cris I guess they are missing the Billions of Euros pumped into their economy by the UK every year after all... -
Actually 52% of people who voted were Brexit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_United_Kingdom_European_Union_membership_referendum The UK is not a dictatorship. Johnson wasn't even PM when we voted to leave in the Democratic vote. The UK is currently doing better than many EU countries, including the economic powerhouse Germany. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/06/08/euro-zone-enters-recession-after-germany-ireland-growth-revision.html Seems like Brexit wasn't such a cliff edge after all. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/03/10/uk-economy-rebounds-with-stronger-than-expected-january-gdp-print.html This is simply The Guardian trying to spin Johnson's poor decision to have a party into rejoining the EU. Desperate stuff even by their standards ????.

EU moves closer to passing one of world’s first laws governing AI

Do you think China and Russia will stop because the EU and the US think it's a bad idea? It's just regulating yourself into a disadvantageous position. Good. Another benefit of Brexit. I suspect the UK is making all the right noises politically about being involved but I very much doubt they do in reality. We don't need help from the US or the EU to create regulations, we have our own parliament to make them if that's the route we choose to take. Personally, I prefer the least amount of regulations. It's not like Skynet are suddenly going to wipe us all out with the T1000. -
Strawman. I'm not asking for special treatment. I am asking for other peoples excess body fat not to spill over their seat into my personal space that I paid for. Surely the person that is causing the issue is the one that should pay extra for another seat or for business class. Not the victim of their obesity. No one promised you comfort or special treatment. You could always have put your headphones on and a facemask. Pretend to fall asleep or watch a movie. It doesn't take Einstein to work out how to handle such a situation.

Yes, an excellent choice. Probably my next dog.

Not if they sleep at the entrance to your bedroom.

They are a poor choice for inexperienced owners or complete ignoramuses with no knowledge of the breed. I'd suggest you avoid them, but not because you are an inexperienced owner ????.

So if they disagree with him, "they ain't black"? Staggering arrogance in trying to tell black people what defines black. Typical of the left though, they hate it when black people don't fit into the stereotype of what they think they should be. Unfortunately we have his ilk in the UK as well. If they don't agree with you, they're not "really" black. Disgusting . https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11254543/Fury-Labour-MP-Rupa-Huq-recorded-describing-Chancellor-Kwasi-Kwarteng-superficially-black.html

Joking about getting his name wrong? Or joking about him being prejudiced? Or joking about how he decides who is 'truly' black? Because none of those are exactly side splitters on the comedy stakes... This thread is not about Trump. You have plenty of others to choose from.

Have you considered a large dog? Something like a Rottweiler, Pitbull, Doberman. Or even a large "Thai" dog. Pitbull's are a good choice (for an experienced owner) since they have a terrible reputation here in Thailand but are actually great companions, funny and easy to live with. The chances are, whoever did this knew who lived there (a farang with very few connections) and they'd also know that you now have a large dog. Tell the woman at the local mom and pop shop how strong and unhinged the dog is. Everyone in the village will hear this gossip within hours. Just that knowledge alone would likely stop any future break-ins since Thais (like many people) prefer a soft target and are unlikely to try to get past a snarling Rottweiler when next door has a Shih Tzu.

I don't believe they do. But they should. In my opinion there should be a weight limit based on passenger + luggage. For example, 100kg for both. So a 70kg person can take 30 kgs luggage. A 90kg person can take 10kgs luggage etc. Anyone with a combined weight over 100kgs pays extra for every kg over. That would be a much fairer system than a 140kg person being allowed the same amount of luggage as a 50kg person while spilling their body mass half way across their seat. You could have exemptions for disabled people, pregnant women etc. Sounds like a fair system to me.
