Mass Arrests Follow Violent Far-Right Demonstrations Across the UK

Plenty of "British" people that I would like to see locked up for their role in BLM and Pro Palestine riots. I won't hold my breath though. -

Great news for fish. He's a poet who don't know it. The only thing heartbreaking is a middle aged man posting "Not gonna lie" on X. Speak like an adult for gods sake, you're not a teenager. -

I didn't say it was impossible to use they in the singular. You simply made that up. I said it is confusing and less accurate than using he/she. Which it is. I don't see why the English language should be used in a less effective and accurate way to pander to some attention seekers who want to be seen as special when he/she are in fact a perfectly normal, run of the mill homosexual. -
The reason the riots started is because the authorities wouldn't release any information about the attacker, leaving a massive gap for misinformation to spread. I hope they learn their lesson from this and stop trying to cover up crimes from certain demographics. I have no issue against swift action, as long as it applies to all groups. In Leeds when the Muslims rioted the police were nowhere to be seen. The police scarpered. As soon as the EDL riot, the offenders are arrested, charged, convicted and sentenced within a week. It's a massive double standard and everyone can see it, even if people like you try to gaslight people into thinking it's some "right wing conspiracy". Two tier justice only fans the flames. It stokes the anger of people who are already angry. So don't complain when it comes back to bite, which it will.

They can certainly be blamed for the riots and chaos since they took power, since they have inflamed the situation with extremely ill advised speeches and messages. Specifically the pathetic little tough guy act that Starmer has been putting on. Since they are even more pro immigration than the Tories, it also seems a bit rich for their supporters to complain about the 'mess' the Tories left behind (anger over too much immigration) when Labour want even more immigration than the Tories did. Didn't take long for the country to start burning under Labour. Even less time than I expected.

So if I asked how old your wife is, you'd reply "They are xx years old" instead of "She is xx years old"? Very strange. When referring to a person that you know the sex of, he/she is both clearer and more accurate than they. But if you wish to reduce the clarity and accuracy of the English language in order to pursue some 'progressive' woke agenda, don't let me stop you. Seems more regressive than progressive to me, but that seems to be a trend of the left in recent years. -

I you had typed "Tou" that may have been a typo. You typed "to". You seem to be confusing pronouns with prepositions. An amateur mistake. As do you when spelling "entitled". I didn't say it can't be used in singular form (your reading/comprehension skills appear to also be lacking). I said it is confusing (and somewhat inaccurate use of English) to use "they" when the sex of the person being discussed is known, as it is in this case. -

I'd make it a separate competition to spare the rest of us the painful spectacle. The could name it The Theylympics or something dumb like that. Let's see what the crowds are like. -

With an example like that you probably shouldn't be criticizing other people's understanding of the English language. ๐ -
They key being "Due in court". As opposed to "charged, found guilty and sentenced to unusually long terms" within a week. Interesting that these rioters have already been sentenced while the killer of the 3 little girls is scheduled for sentencing some time in 2025. They certainly have their priorities straight . The gaslighting appears to be failing Chomps. But I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
