Is the smoking ban they did a few years ago still law and just not enforced? Someone said they stopped enforcing it because cigarette tax went down significantly

Try Bkk..... Many clubs/bars there are smoke free.

Check out the video frame by frame from 57 sec on wards, she points what looks like a camera at the police man and when she passes behind him he lifts his left arm to knock the 'camera' away from him to stop having his photo taken. She then backs up on the pavement still pointing the 'camera' at him. he follows her and gives her a slap across the face.

Can't imagine what she said to him, but maybe he just didn't like his photo being taken.

And people should be aware that taking photos of police or military in many countries are illegal.....guess this applies for Thailand as well.

I have been down to Phuket and Samui many times and you get ripped off, bent over and shafted, so paying 20 baht for a trip along the beach or from Pattaya to Jomtien for me is a pleasure and I do not begrudge the amount at all. I am sure there will be the usual wingers saying about you should only pay 10 baht etc etc ... my answer is buy a car or a bike or dont get on the bus....up to you as they say.

I do not know.....I think that most Russians have the right to be arrogant since they are coming here loaded with monies unlike most of the poorer Caucasians in Pattaya who are living off their pensions, social security cheques or dole payouts.

Most of the Russians here are not loaded up with money.

Sure there are rich Russian's here, but most of them you meet on a ordinary day buying the cheap shit from the markets, doing window shopping and staying a whole family in one room can't be considered rich at all.

Give them a good kicking !! We get a lot of these unscrupulous scammers in Scandinavia too,always pretending to be deaf,wants money or sells "art" and when you turn your back to them they steal whatever they can get their hands on.

What ever the reason, it comes down to that AGAIN Thais show that they always gang up towards farangs (whom provide them, much of their daily salary) where as the farang is out numbered. 7-1 is even extreme for Thais, usually it is "just" 4-5 Thais and 1 farang.

It is, I say again "What ever the reason", a very low and Thai thing and Thais should be ashamed about this or any other gang up against farangs.

Problems happen, come one on one or even 2 on one since farangs are usually bigger, but not 7 with weapons.

Thais will gang up on their own as well, not only against a farang.

Body odors can have a natural cause(except being dirty),but the one of the things that annoys the hell out of me here is guys without a shirt that ventures in to supermarkets and resturant.....disgusting !!!

Two weeks ago, a friend of mine, who lived in a little apartment, asked me to look around for a small house, together with him.

Only requirement: Kao Talo / Kao Noi area.

After a half day of riding around on the bike, we had ~10 houses to choose from.

He rented a nice house for 9000 Baht at "Golden Hill Village"

2 bedroom/toilets, 1living room, 3 AC and a decent kitchen...

BUT: you have to move your ass and driving around....Internet classifieds are mostly crap and (usually) no option!

9000...there`s still hope then .I agree that your own legwork is more important than anything else.Have plenty of experiences with classifieds and agencies,but their info is most often outdatet or you get quoted an higher price if you show some interest.

There are a lot more like him in the volunteers.

Soi 15 (Chalermprakiat) is an unusual choice of street for your average tourist to be walking down at 4:30am. I don't think there are any bars on that street. There are some apartments though. Maybe he was trying to score something, crystal meth, perhaps.

There are a few bars on Soi 15,hundreds of apartments and condos(and more to come) and a few hotels.Hardly a dark,dodgy back alley for drug deals.

We are talking about different Sois 15, chap. Do your homework properly, specify which Soi 15 you are on about and come back to me.

My question to smokers is, how does it feel to be too weak to quit. I smoked non-filters for 20 + years. I certainly know it is not easy to quit. I also know that about 90% of smokers secretly admit to not enjoying smoking or the addiction it manifests.

I smoke, I like it! I aint quitting!

I live in Pattaya...............I love to smoke around here ,but godamn I wanna quit because I know in the end those cigs are gonna kill me !!
