Meanwhile, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) will have to wait for a court decision if they have to pay damages to Hopewell Co of up to Bt1.2 billion related to the scrapping of a concession.
It's 12 billion + interest, isn't it? Not, 1.2 billion

Quite enjoyed that series. I hope there is a season 2. The actress playing Wild Bill's daughter does an excellent job.
Right now I'm struggling through "The Enemy Within." (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8390342/ )
It seems like a poor man's "The Blacklist" with Jennifer Carpenter carrying the show. The other characters appear very wooden and the storylines..........well?

OK, it's the law

BUT maybe not in your province ??????
If we foreigners get confused on these issues, can you imagine how the Thais must feel? Born and bred in Australia with no idea about Australian immigration laws [never affected me back then]. Why would a Thai know about Thai immigration laws especially as they seem to differ from province to province?

Absolutely right. How people use the Go Fund Me is none of our business; that's the responsibility of Go Fund Me admin.
Our business is whether we choose to give or not.
The young couple are home now. All the best to them.

Yes, to keep a great positive attitude, you must chose your friends carefully; sadly, even to the point of dropping some.

Both Prayuth and the army are utterly despised by the Thai people, at this point in time.
But they don't care and, reality says, they don't need to care.

Aldrin said the U.S. space programme achieved so much 50 years ago, but that the recent era had been more troublesome, disappointing him.
Why is it troublesome, disappointing? Trying to keep up with Hollywood, are you?
You've f&*(^%$#d up many countries in the last 50 years, why do you want to do the same to other planets?
There's still lots of countries on this planet you can play around with if you're getting bored; leave the rest of the universe alone.

Nobody likes to see this when you're just off a long flight, but don't go on social media, especially if you work in Thailand and slag off the county/system/immigration, too many expats seem to think this is a good idea...wrong.
But if clients don't complain, nothing will change. Before the internet and social media, services could ignore the client but now they have to pull up their socks. People do not have to fly business class so if this new government and tourism minister want to promote Thailand, they have to provide first class service as soon as the plane stops on the tarmac.

Why should he?
What's going to happen if he doesn't?
A vote of no-confidence? He's got the majority and the Senate.
You're going to punch him in the face? Sure! Give it a go and see if Apirat pays you a visit?

In Thailand...I give hotel a copy of passport...it is on them to inform immigration...
I have moved about the country without worrying...when I leave the country and return...I take my passport to immigration in my province where they tell me I am not required to report in after going abroad...
Does this help?
Different province = different rules. Here, after going abroad, I am required to report in.
Not sure about provincial travel....I'm ask them this week.
If yes, I'll do it.
No real hassle, just do all the photocopying of the partner's papers etc before I go on holiday. Then take it in when I return.

Yes, it's the trespass that's got him by the short and curlies. He should not have followed the dog into the shop. But being denied bail for trespass is a bit hard. Maybe if he killed the dog, he could have got bail.....like the panther killers did?

The other English paper states the amount owing as 24.76 million baht and that the family have land to sell totalling 105 million baht but selling it may take time. The mother's suggestion above is ludicrous. She wants the government [the taxpayer] for pay for her daughter's sins and then she'll repay the government.
Quicker! Why not mortgage the properties, pay the monies and then repay the mortgage?
Or maybe the reality is that this family has already borrowed up to the hilt to keep up appearances? The cheque for 500,000 baht is cheap....it's less than what a foreigner has to have for a retirement visa. They have a name but nothing else. That's why they're scared of all this publicity.

If being "stupid, brainless, arrogant, drunken morons" was a criteria for being put on the next plane out, then 1/2 Thais in this country would be gone.
