Thailand, being pretty close to the equator, doesn't have a great deal of difference in the times of sunrise and sunset through the year. The further north you go, the larger the difference becomes; that's why those poor buggers up in Europe only see the sun around lunchtime in winter. For more information go to this link and input the lat/long of the part of Thailand you're interested in into form B and see the difference in the timings. Ensure you check the longitude 'east' block first though - it's a yank site so it defaults to 'west'.

Surely, 'dry days' are only a problem if you have no warning? Given a heads-up it's no problem to have a fridgeful at home and sup through it. No?

Exactly which part of your A/C system did you have replaced with a reconditioned unit? I'm guessing here that you didn't have the whole system replaced, but rather the compressor, which is, in simple terms, the pump which runs off a belt drive on the engine. That is the most common part of an A/C system to fail. It's obvious you have a coolant leak somewhere, but if that leak isn't off the compressor, or the pipes which attach to it, and that is the only part you have had replaced, then maybe the mechanic is not taking you for a ride.
I'm afraid I don't know of a good A/C chap in Pattaya; but if you take your car to any other A/C garage and ask them to find out where the leak is - they should be able to do it fairly simply. Second opinion as it were. There are ways of 'sniffing out' where a coolant leak is. Usual places for a leak are where the pipes go through the engine bulkhead into the passenger compartment. As BSJ says - if the leak is inside the car (unlikely, but possible) it definitely needs to be addressed pronto as you shouldn't be breathing the stuff! If the leak turns out to be on the bit you've had replaced - go back and bang on his desk.

Royal Garden Plaza. Go up the moving stairs from the 2nd Road entrance. On arrival to the first floor it is on your right hand side. Shop No. is 38b and it's called Pinn.
There is another place where you can find all sorts of knitting/sewing yarns, needles, embroidery etc., in the indoor market just down from Tukcom and before the school and traffic lights on Pattaya Tai. The girl speaks English quite well aswell. This place has a larger and better selection aswell.
I think Jo is referring to Wat Chaimongkon market. Go into the market straight opposite Wat Chai, turn right just before you go into the chickeny/meaty part, and then turn left as soon as you can. There are shops around there that will probably have what you want.
I agree with the Royal Garden one - been there. (But didn't have what I wanted)

I think Daffy meant the A380 one - but the advice would be just the same!

Can I have a go.....
It is a common myth that nothing rhymes with the above words. However, each has a least one rhyme:
Purple rhymes with hirple and curple
Month rhymes with uneath (a very obscure and now archaic word meaning "difficult")
Silver rhymes with several words, including: cilver, filver, and hilver
Orange rhymes with several words, including: sporange, and door hinge.
With the exception of "sporange" (a term in microbiology), all of the rhymes are obscure and not in common use.
And unless you pronounce 'uneath' as 'unth', not exactly a rhyme at all ......

I can point you towards a friend of mine who would be able to help. He's not as cheap as can be found in some of the local places, but he's pretty good at what he does. PM me if you're interested, as I see other posts have been 'adulterated' for breaking school rules.

It's a pun on "Vorsprung durch Technik" , an advertising slogan for Audi

If you are interested please PM me with you email and detauils and I can send you photos no problems, I am looking for 20,000 per month.
for a 3 bed, 4 bath house .....
Now back to the original posters questions....Tara Court is a nice building and is very well located. I have a friend renting a 1 br there and it is nice. He is paying 25k a month but you might do better on a 1 yr lease. There are many rentals here in the 25-30k month range. Make sure you are in a building that has security and indoor parking. If you want something furthur down in Jomtien you can look at jomtienbeachresidence.com......another one that is a bit more high end is nirvana place. These are all serviced type apartments. Renting on a 1 yr lease here puts you at a good advantage as you can cut some good deals. Hope this helpsfor a 1 bed .....
Is there a comparison? Where - in relation to Jomtien, Pattaya and Maprachan areas is your factory going to be Mr Cochran? I don't want to know - that's what you ought to be asking unless your company is just going to pick up the rental charge.

It doesn't matter what the polls say, nobody's won it until it's over. Am I the only one in this thread to note that, because of the American's stupid voting system, it's not the one that gets the most votes that wins. Ask Al. He knows!

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having.
......
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Sure - the right direction is to ask in the computer forum. I would be more helpful if I could, but it is very hard to diagnose/repair computers over the net with someone who admits to being a non-techy. Find someone in the computer forum who is near you in Udon now, or will be in BKK when you get there. Good luck.
Edit to add- PS. The excessive, use, of commas, really makes it hard, to read

true, he was hilarious when he stood as Timmy Mallett at Key 103 radio .... nowadays we have plonkers like Jonathan Ross & Russell Brand
Based on recent exploits - I think 'plonkers' is far too good a word for those two f*kwits.

From Wikipedia:Halloween (or Hallowe'en) is an international holiday celebrated on October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies.
?? I think Wikipedia have the definition of an "international holiday" all wrong!!
Happy Halloween anyway

Don't care how relevant it is. It's topical and very funny!

Just a tip, interest. It's a lot easier to read Thai when it hasn't been broken down into arbitrary 'clumps'. Leave it as the original when asking for a translation.

Yes - but there's more questions than answers here isn't there
A PATTAYA WOMAN TRIES TO END IT ALL AFTER FIGHT WITH HER FRENCH HUSBANDOn 18 October, 2008, at 00.30 pm, police and Sawangboriboon Rescue received notification of an attempted suicide by a distraught woman in Soi Pattaya 13 / 1 [soi Yamoto]. A response team was duly sent to the scene.
At the scene of the incident, the team found Mrs. Rada Art-Glah (33), a bar woman, who was in an intoxicated condition after drinking a non-poisonous floor cleaning liquid. She was crying and highly upset, while her friend was trying to comfort her.
Her friend explained to police that Mrs. Rada had had a serious argument with her French boyfriend who she has been living with for over 5 years. Mrs. Rada was really upset so she decided to drink half of bottle of the floor cleaning liquid in the mistaken impression that she would manage to end it all. However, the fluid only caused her a severe stomach upset and further anguish. The rescue team gave her first aid before rushing her to hospital.
From Pattaya Daily News
hold on ..........shes a mrs??? so got a husband already and her boyfriend was french..........maybe he found out he was taking care of her and her husband
How many Thai girls have the surname Art-Glah? Was said frenchie actually her husband?
Love the phrase 'a bar-woman'. Quality reporting as ever!

Poor girl she could have been killed. I agree. My sympathies go to her.
About time the cops did some thing about the street gangs in pattaya. Sorry, but they are too busy. Apparently there are too many people riding motorbikes without wearing a seatbelt - or something like that.
-
Perhaps you need to examine your definition of the word 'friends' ?
