  2. What is going on here...all i see is whining poms...well i guess the restaurant owners are sorry you cannot have roast beaf & yorkshire pudding for Baht99 . It just cannot happen. As far as the pizza slices... come on .. where did you all grow up..uyou wanta good slice of pizza then buy it from a restaurant that specialises in pizzas. You cheap charlies make me laugh !! :o

  3. Completely wrong.

Visas are usually issued to everybody as long as

you have the basic requirements. No onwards ticket

or anything like that is needed.

It take TWO working days to complete.

Application hours is 8.30-11.00 and you pick it up two days

    after at 15.00-16.30.

I don't understand the meaning of this forum as long as people

who don't really know what the are talking about are answering

    questions here!!!!!

Misterfact , are you saying it takes Two Days or Three Days to process ??

Do you drop the application off in the morning and collect your passport the next day in the afternoon ????

    thanks.

  4. You can most likely obtain in Penang OK. They had a week or so of being really uptight but believe that has ended and the worst now would be a "do not come again" type stamp.

Have not seen recent reports on Rangoon but from earlier accounts they did not want to issue any visa if you were not a resident.

Thanks Lopburi3, your help is always appreciated. Think i'll do the train to Penang then.

    rgs.

  7. Did that sometime ago, great trip...and the embassy does not really want an onward ticket, they ask for one, but if you don't have one they're "mai pen rai" about it.

hi Florin & Tropo , just a couple of questions on the thai embassy in Hanoi for a 60 day Thai Tourist Visa. No visa needed for overnight stay in Vietnam ?

Do you have any idea on the processing time... one overnight is ok ? because if I arrived on a monday at 1.00pm is that to late to submit & collect Tuesday afternoon ?

    thanks for any help.

  9. Hi all ,

just a quick question, I will be flying to KL next month for my second Tourist Visa. ( back to back )

Do I need to show or provide evidence of an exit train ticket or aeroplane ticket leaving thailand to the thai consulate, as Lopburi3 mentioned it previously to someone going to Ho Chi min for there 4th TV. ?

I wasn't asked last time in KL.

I don't want to go and find out I'm suppose to have one.

    Thank's again all.

    great website & always helpful.

    steve.

:o To be honest, no one can say for sure.

It has been asked for at land border entries. I personally was asked to show a outward ticket on entering Thailand in June for a no visa entry (30 day stamp).

The truth is.....you can't be sure. However if it is possible, get the ticket. If you need it, no problem. If you don't need to show it, you're ahead anyhow.

Just make sure it is refundable if you get one. Pay full cash, and it should be refundable.

    :D

    thanks IMA_FARANG ,

maybe i'll get a train ticket just in case. Cost about Bht1050 , and 80% refundable.

    cheers.

  11. Hi all ,

has anyboby on the board here ever gone to Phnom Penn in Cambodia and applied for a Thai Tourist Visa.

    Q. Can in be processed overnight. ( submit at thai embassy in the morning and receive next day AM. )

It's just that some places you have to stay 2 nights & others only 1 night. I am not familar with Phnom Penn.

    eg :

    KL can do overnight

    Singapore can do overnight

    Penang is 2 nights

    Phnom Penn ?

    thanks for any advise :o

  12. Hi all , I would like to inquire regarding what is the rule after a tourist visa.

I currently have a 60day tourist visa the i assume i can apply for a 30day extension at Bangkok-Sathorn at the end of the 60days.

At the end of the 30day extension do i need to go out again and get another tourist visa the same or can i go to Cambodia border and receive a 30day stamp ( and a trip each month for 3months ) ?

Also, if i can go to the border do i need an exit ticket ( train, bus or air ) to a neighbour country and the date should be shown toward the end of the 90day border run. ? (Then I go back to the tourist visa run outside ) is this correct ??

appreciate anyones help on this. - confused in bkk.

    thanks.

    steven
