A friend of mine has recently passed away and leaves behind an 8 month old puppy he took in. His daughter is in Canada and wants to come and get the dog, but cannot at this time due to a new job. She has all his shots and is quite smart. She's a Thai Ridgeback, Named Rose. Female. I have 4 dogs of my own, but they are all female and the large one doesn't like more competition for affection. She gets very jealous. This is for 2 to 3 months. At that time, if something comes up and she does not come back at that time, I will take the dog back and isolate her in another part of our property until I find a new home for her. I wish I could take her, but we our getting on in years and want to travel. A young dog will set us back more years than I have left in me I'm sure. We are located in Chiang Mai Cheers

I screwed up and submitted my e-visa without downloading my flight out of Thailand. Didn't pay yet though. So, you can't submit more than 1 document for flight details or bank statements. How can I submit 2 plane tickets and 3 bank statements. They don't allow editing. Can I start a new visa and they will trash the old one?

On the L.A. Consulate website they have this under the submit Financial Document proof section. (Financial evidence: an amount of no less than 20,000 THB (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsorship letter) It doesn't say anything about having 20,000 Baht on you as you pass through immigration. I'm taking it as having to show 20,000 in your bank account steadily for the last 3 months. I had emptied out that bank account to buy a car, but I forgot I have a Thai bank account with a few thousand dollars. So no problem there. I'm going for a multiple entry visa. I never saw this before either. The difference in fee will not be refunded, if the officer grants a single entry visa instead of the multiple entries visa you applied for. Guess it's how the officer is feeling that day. Would be nice to know why they would turn you down for a multiple entry. Thank you all for your help. I appreciate it.

Hi, I have a couple questions that someone might have the answer to. I will be traveling back to Thailand on my return ticket soon. I had a 1 year visa based on marriage, but let it lapse. I will be returning on a tourist visa. They want an onward ticket or return ticket from the U.S. Since this is my return ticket I'm flying into Thailand on, do I have to buy a round trip ticket from here in the U.S. or buy a cheap ticket onward ticket out of Thailand? Also, for showing bank statements for 3 months. Does the 20,000 Baht have to have been in the bank for 3 straight months? or can I just show that I have it now in the account? I had to withdraw most of my money to buy a new car, so it shows I didn't have 20,000 Baht steadily for 3 months. Thanks again for the help.

I bought a high frequency chaser on Temu. I can't hear anything, but the dogs sure do. I trained my own dogs with it, as it has a training mode. Dogs are terrified by the chaser mode. When a pack comes near me, one press of the button sends them scurrying. $9.95. Best one ever.

I took a trip to Singapore from Chiang Mai and the aircon only had 2 settings. Off and suspended animation. I was the only one on the bus with extra clothes and handed them out to some of the older people. Freezing water was dripping from the air nozzles up above us.

I have ordered from Temu numerous times from my laptop in the states and in Thailand. Always free shipping. Never had a problem. The items were always as described and good quality. Just don't buy power tools. ( I saw a Youtube video of a guy who bought a bunch to try out. Not very good it seems) Otherwise, I use Temu if I can't find an item on Lazada or Shopee.

I want to bring in about 50 ounces of silver back to thailand that have been sitting around in my home country. Are there any reasons why I would have a problem with this? Would I need to declare it at customs in Chiang mai?

Hi, has anyone else had transfers taking almost a week? I've been using Wise for a few years and it always took seconds. Now they tell me it will take 6 days. Their website says at the most it would take 2 days to transfer money. What could be the hold up? Are there any other fast money transfer companies out there that you use?

Nothing to invest. We got a truck and bins already. Been making statues today from some friends rubble. Should turn out nice.
