I have a friends daughter and 4 companions coming for a visit in a couple weeks and would like any recommendations you can give for them to have a quiet and relaxing time on an island. They're not into full moon parties or clubs.

Just south of the city is Wiang Kum Kam, Baan Tawai Handicraft village, Phachor Grand Canyon (Not the water park) Tukkatan cave, Bat cave and the Saturday Sanpathong Buffalo Market.

Off Mahidol Road going towards the airport there is Kuan Yin Bodhisattavas Temple. A Chinese temple with 2 large statues of a dragon and tiger that you can go in through the mouth or backside and view the large murals that are painted inside. There is also a elevated area with many temple bells and other things to see there. Free. I wish I had the photos I took there, but I grabbed these from the internet.

Hi, I don't know if what I have is good mistake or bad problem. I went and got a Non-immigrant "O" Single Entry visa in Denver and when I was handed my passport, the woman who issued me the visa noticed that my last visa, which was a Non-immigrant "O" Multiple Entry was still good for another entry. The date of issue on it was Oct 6 2015. And must enter before Oct 7 2016. I had used that visa before. I entered the kingdom with both visas on Oct 5th last month and they put a stamp in my book, Admitted Oct 5 2016, Until Oct 4 2017. And did not put a "USED" stamp on either visa and did not ask any questions. Now, do I go to immigration here in Chiang mai and ask what's up? Or go for an extension of the single entry before that would expire in the 4th of December or just try and get away with the new year visa and wait another month before I have to leave the country and come back in? I don't want to go to Maesae and find out that they will not let me back in because someone screwed up my stamp. Thank you for your help. I hope I explained it well.

Holy mother of God. I just got up and read the back of the old 3 in 1's we still have around. I can't believe the sugar content. Not just the percentage, but the weight of the package. Glad I switched to fresh ground after a couple months. I would've been the Duke of Diabetes. Never drank coffee before and almost 60. Just started. Damn.and it tasted so good.

We broadsided it with our Naverro truck. The driver and another are in icu and the third died next to me in the emergency room. All Thai Yai. 22,25 and 28 years old.

I love playing basketball and closing in on 60. Would be nice if we could get an old geezers league going. I can smell the Tiger Balm already.

Aren't police here supposed to account for each bullet fired from there gun and file a report or are they just given boxes of bullets and are free to fire off as many rounds as they wish?

Try using a Thera-Band Flex Bar. I had tennis and golfer's elbow in both elbows from lifting weights. Very, very painful in both arms. I looked on-line for a cure since acupuncture did not work or cortisone shots. I found the answer with these flex bars. You can buy them from Amazon or Ebay or anyone else. Around $13. I saw the thousands of great reviews and decided to try it. I watched the exercise videos on YouTube for tennis and golfer's elbow. Dr. Timothy Tyler invented these exercises. You have to do them 3 times a day for 6 weeks. It takes about 4 minutes to do the exercises. I can honestly say, all pain was gone after 6 weeks. But you must follow through with it for the 6 weeks, 3 times per day. Mine came back after a while when I stopped using it for a few months, but I am doing it again and it is going away. Just keep it up once or twice a day after the pain is gone if you don't want it to come back to haunt you. Good Luck

I went to Sripat 2 years ago for mine and the doctor did it at the Ram Hospital. Can't remember his name. Young guy. Anyway, I had just gotten insurance, but I had to go in and have it done before the insurance kicked in. I had just finished running a marathon with a balled up sock in the hole to keep my innards from falling out and had to have it done quickly. Cost was 60,000 Baht out of pocket. Just make sure you don't drink the night before like I did. Turned a 45 minute operation into a 2 hour one from the blood not being able to clot fast enough. The doctor asked if I was a hemophiliac.

On Moonmuang road. Just past Burger King. Have to look carefully. I passed it twice just walking. Opens at 5 p.m. if I remember, You can walk in around 4:30 and get a number and come back at 5, so you'll be seen quickly and not have to wait with the other 30 to 40 people that pack the place at 5. went there by referral as was supposed to be one of the best. Worked for me.

I grow cacti on my land and they thrive in any weather. I have very sandy soil and they grow very fast. If your around Chiang mai I'll give you some. Doing a lot of transplanting of the larger ones. I just break them off and stick'em in the ground. Very easy to grow.

I buy it at Makro, right in the front-right when you walk in, next to the Indian food. Big bags and super cheap. Lasts me months and I use it every day.

The amount of traffic is certainly increased. You used to be able to drive in opposite directions on both sides of the moat as there weren't that many vehicles and you could rent and drive your own tuk-tuk from the Overlander Bar where Mad Dogs is now.

Thai Watsuda (Think that's how it's spelled) on the Superhighway has the largest selection I've seen. I just bought a few different kinds to try out. I threw away the boxes they came in, but the company that makes them is in Bangkok and they have a website listed on the box if you want to see all their products.
