  1. Sorry I'll be more clear. I've had a Non-Imm O-A visa for about 15 years. It was retirement, then extended with many Covid extensions, visit Thai family extension and most recently, marriage. I went to renew the marriage extension today at C.M. and they refused stating the bank documents were not proper (identical to last year) but refused. The IO suggested I get a 7 day extension to leave Thailand and then go to Laos and come back in on a free 45 day visa and plan my next move from there. The extension expires on 31/12/2022. What is the procedure I should follow from this point forward? Thank you.
  2. I'm having some issues with extending my visa which expires on 31/12/2022 - this coming Saturday. I may have to get a 7 day extension and do a bounce at Chiang Khong next week for a 45 day visa. My question is: do I need to get that 7 day extension on 30/12 before government closes, or is there an exception due to the visa expiring on a holiday weekend and then 03/01/2023 being the day I could get the extension w/o being on overstay at that point? Thank you in advance for your help.
  3. You are not even close. It has to go to Wilkes-Barre, PA (where it will sit for two months at the P.O. because you sent it registered). Apparently they are short-handed and only collect the registered post every two months.
  4. I can't imagine what is so special about buying from perhaps the most expensive pharmacist in C.M.? There are literally hundreds and hundreds or even thousands of pharmacies in C.M. and at least 5 are wholesale and another 100 or more are close to wholesale prices.
  5. I re-sent it regular Airmail, emailed a copy and faxed one as well. Hopefully someone got it.
  6. That's not good advice. They recommend sending it "tamadaa" (regular post). Many of the problems are because people sent it rong tabien (registered) myself included, and there is no government staff available to go to the P.O. and pick-up the post for two months - which is why so many got the 2nd letter.
  7. I don't understand the motive at all. But these are some really sick bastards who should not be running free and should be extradited and tried and sent to prison where they can be tortured and acid put on their genitals. Eye for an eye...
  8. He went out of business months before KSK even closed. Although he was a nice chap, his prices were among the highest anywhere in C.M.
  9. When is the last day to apply? Anyone know? Thanks.
  10. I'm trying to contact the FBU in the Philippines using the FBU inquiry form. Does anyone know where the "BNC" number is on the 7162 Form? I don't see any number that is 13-16 digits. All of the numbers on the form are either less than 13 or more than 16 digits! Thanks in advance. Beneficiary Notice Control (BNC) Number: The BNC# is a 13-16 digit alpha-numerical code that is found in the upper righthand corner of most SSA notices (below the return address and date).
  11. That doesn't work. I already tried that. They insist you have to call 410 9650160 in Pennsylvania to deal with this issue. I am having the same problem as the OP. I just got my 2nd letter today and have called that number in Pennsylvania 45 times and just get a recording that all lines are busy.
  12. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the medical and dental care here. Perhaps you didn't see the right doctor.
  13. If you are anywhere near Mae Rim Road, Ohayo Pet Hospital is run by Dr. Doom whom I met at CMU Small Animal Hospital 10+ years ago. He is excellent with cats and took care of mine for 10+ years.
  14. Suan Luang bar area is really dilapidated now after years of neglect and closure during Covid. I went recently and there were only 3 places open and hardly anyone there. I didn't stop. I used to like going there a few years ago. There is also Thannon Sri Ping Muang which was also quite a dump but the government has improved the road and the flooding situation and some of the bars have come back.
  15. Some antibiotics can cost as much as 65,000 Baht for a 30-day supply at a government hospital in Thailand. Example: Linezolid, which in some cases is the only antibiotic that will treat Multiple Resistant Staphylococcus infection.
  16. Yes, I've been a patient there for 16 years. My wife's family has been seeing Dr. Siri for around 25 years. His night time clinic is crazy busy. Sometimes there are 50 people in the queue to see him. At times he does seem rushed, but if he suspects cancer or anything serious, he will ask the patient to wait and he will examine them closer in the treatment room in back and have his staff arrange an appointment as his clinic at CMU. He's very careful when he does surgery and never leaves a scar.
  17. Yes he does, it's near Pratu Thaphae. "Siri Clinic" on google will get you there. His clinic is very old, small and crowded. If a biopsy is needed or it's complex issue, he will ask you to see him at the Center for Medical Excellence.
  18. Ajarn Siri is considered the best in C.M. and at one time worked in the USA. He's been around longer than most of the others. I think his clinic is actually located at the Center for Medical Excellence now, and not at the Sriphat building (which has moved). Well the building didn't move but the clinics moved to another building and they still call it "Sriphat".????

  20. Every wet market sells both white and yellow tofu bricks - 3 for 20 Baht.
  21. Who cares? This is about the horrendous torture and killing of her daughter, not the exterior decor of her home.
  22. The mother is right. This guy is pure evil and doesn't deserve to live. Let her decide on what the penalty should be.
