What's up with Raab or is this just because the posters having a pop at him are on the opposing side?
Serious question as I know little about him either way.
Raab is my local MP. So it is far more than his position on Brexit even though his constituents voted by nearly 80% to remain. When challenged on this he simply raises his middle finger. More than that he does little for his constituents treating the majority like plebs. He totally relies on the old school retired majors of which there are many! Enough to save him? Maybe.

Nobody knows what the f@#ks gonna happen with this election, and that's the truth.
True. I do think it will be about people voting for the least abhorrent leader in the end. All the parties are promising the earth with their pledges and all are lying through their teeth.

...... and yet the Tories still can’t get a majority Government .
As someone living in the UK I can say that we are bombarded with this constant barrage of electioneering rubbish every day. You can find a poll telling you that Screaming Lord Sutch is going to win by a landslide if you look hard enough.
It is not so much about the Tories winning as Labour (under Corbyn) losing. All those years ago when Thatcher lost the plot, it would have made sense for Labour to move in and win an election. However with Kinnock as leader that was never going to happen because just like now, he was unelectable. In the end it was the Tories who saw the end of Thatcher.
It is most likely that the Tories will win the election, it is more about the majority they can achieve (if any). For me it is about doing my bit locally and our focus is to get rid of Raab. An uphill battle in Tory heartland. Obviously Labour is an non starter in leafy Surrey so we are turning our attention to getting the Lib Dems to topple him. Time will tell and we are waiting to see if the Brexit Party field a candidate here. If they do then they will probably do the job for us.

Every major power spies on and interferes in the political process of both its allies and enemies. From all that has been determined the "Russian meddling" was minimal and did not favor one candidate over another. It was intended to sow discord and that they were successful in doing.
Even more reason to publish it then.

Never been that drunk, although I do recall waking up in someone's apartment with no one in it late one morning, I slowly got up, got dressed real quick, and exited like there was no tomorrow.
Still to this day 3 decades ago, I have no recollection of who's place it was, or who took me there, and I didn't stick around to find out, although I did ask my mates who I was out with the previous night, If they knew who I left the club with and they all shrugged their shoulders saying it was another big night for all.
Ah the good old days....lol
Well I only nipped out to get some breakfast for us both and when I got back you had done a runner! Good night though, wasn't it ????. I still have the lubricant that you left behind if you want it back?
As for this article, I think the police should charge him for being drunk in charge of an imaginary vehicle!

Nigel as predictable as ever. Conservatives are pushing for more concessions from him. Why not just come out and say it...
"Nigel just go and crawl back under your stone".

A bit OTT and way off the mark and also the kind of bile spouted by project fear....you'll find it will be qualified staff from NZ, Aus etc....besides the Eastern Europeans already employed are protected under the current agreement put forward. What's more worrying and what has been happening for 30 years and more is the lack of investment in training for UK nationals....there in lies the real problem.
Recruitment campaign is focussed on the Philippines (as always), Africa and India. It is true that more needs to be done on training in the UK but there is a problem getting student nurses to sign up because the pay is <deleted>, the hours are long and nurses are treated abysmally.

They are already fast tracked through the immigration system so this is just Boris electioneering.
I think the funniest moment yesterday was when Boris praised the people of Northern Ireland saying they had a fantastic deal because they remained with access to the single market with free movement of people whereas the rest of Britain will lose that. Not only that but they would not have to fill in any paperwork whatsoever!
What an absolute moron! Lie after lie after lie, just how stupid does he think we all are?

You are right not all Scots want independence but if 52% vote for it, it may well happen. The last Scottish Referendum didn't have us at the point of leaving the EU. This may sway enough Scots to get the vote through. Anyway who could blame them for wanting to escape this rotten Downing Street mob.

To be fair to Kay Burley she has just interviewed Ian Austin, former Labour MP, and he has absolutely savaged Jeremy Corbyn with no minced words at all. With the Tom Watson resignation overnight it looks like Labours turn in the wringer today. With Corbyn in charge Labour haven't got a hope in hell of winning this election which leaves us with the abysmal Tory Party who will likely win by default. Then we will have years of lying and ducking and diving by these morons.
Time for me to start looking seriously at sunny Spain!

Only to be expected in this election. Don't think either main party will play a straight bat any time soon. Deceit and lies will drive their campaigns. Politics have always been a dirty business but never to this level. How can anyone vote for these cretins?

I listened to the full interview which was played pretty much on the hour every hour yesterday on several media outlets. The condemnation of his comments was widespread with even his own party members saying what he said was a serious mistake. Mogg was then quick to make a cack handed attempt at an apology suggesting people didn't understand what he had said. The arrogance was still clearly there. Then after (I imagine) talks with "his people" he came out and made a full unconditional apology. Even Cleverley conceded that this was a serious error of judgement.
If this was such a minor thing why would JRM be squirming like he is?

What nonsense. Sorry but to try to suggest that this has anything to do with him being a Brexiteer is ludicrous. He is, and always has been an arrogant dick head and his comments are just typical of him. If you think his "apology" was in any way sincere then you are in the minority. His initial apology was that he was sorry if people had misunderstood what he was saying. Must be too thick to get it eh Jacob!
Then you get his friend Andrew Bridgen trying to defend him. I suggest you listen to that farce. He has subsequently apologised. JRM won't resign and Johnson certainly won't get rid of him. Cleverley was on the TV this morning squirming and trying again to excuse Mogg's crass comments before moving on to try to excuse the fake news story about Keir Starmer.
This Election is certainly proving to be what we all thought it would be. Despicable people dragging despicable people through the mire, bottom feeders all of them.

Perhaps they have realised they can actually think and make choices for themselves and no longer need to be 'traditional'? That must send shivers up the spine of the staunch party supporters.
You would hope so but I fear they get their guidance from the twisted politicians they read about or listen to. Making choices based on facts is a luxury none of us are afforded these days.

Michael Gove speaking this morning...
"A no-deal Brexit will stay on the table if the Conservatives win the general election, Michael Gove says, admitting the UK could still crash out of the EU without a trade deal."
Oh dear! The Brexit Party have really got you rattled haven't they Boris. You must be running scared to get Gove to come up with that little nugget! And you still expect people to believe a word you say.

Now I can understand why Tories would change horses and vote for the Brexit Party, Nigel is right that Johnson's deal isn't a proper Brexit, it is just a re-hashed version of May's deal that Boris, JRM and the ERG rejected. I can see how frustrating that must be for Brexiteers within the party and Farage is right out there when it comes to right wing policies.
However I am surprised by so many Labour voters saying they would vote for the right wing Brexit Party. I guess it shows yet again that people are totally blinkered by Brexit and that is the only issue they are interested in. Sod the fact that have voted Labour all their lives and so did their fathers before them.

This just another example of Boris being Boris but the Brexiteers will desperately try to defend him by blaming everyone else as they always do. Getting quite boring.

Whenever Trump speaks you can be absolutely certain of 1 thing: Whatever Trump says is in the best interests of Trump. Everything else is gibberish and subject to change, history and facts be damned. With that in mind, the US genuinely benefits from a closer relationship with the UK while simultaneously weakining the EU. So Trump is going to push to separate the UK from the EU to maximum degree possible. That is the only reason he is supporting Brexit. If tomorrow Nigel decided that compromise with the EU was the best thing, Trump would denounce him like yesterday's special.
Just keep Trump in context and he's tolerable. In 5 years he'll be gone. Brexit is going to last a lifetime. I think most people are smart enough to see that.
Agree with your post apart from the last bit. Trump will be gone way before 5 years.

Boris was asked about it on the BBC news channel this morning and denied it. We all know that is a lie. Who would have thought the PM's behaviour is making Nigel look like a poor victim ????
