Sorry I don't understand the point you think you are making. it's all word play and semantics with your kind of leftie. Tactics to shut down an argument without arguing a case. I was being generous. There is no f*cking way I would trust a kid with a Pakistani Muslim I didn't know well and I don't know any well. Maybe she doesn't know any well so she says ALL. That would be sensible. I absolutely defend the right of a woman to be cautious of ALL Pakistani Muslim men not known to her, and if she doesn't know any, then that means ALL. Too many of them are predatory. there is one anti Paedophile sting operation that catches them by pretending to be an underage girl. It seems many have only been in the country a few weeks before they are at it, not all are resident. Where are the "community leaders" condemning rape gangs in their communities? Why are they not being informed on by their communities? Why do you think this is? Get you head out of your @rse and stop peddling this false narrative.

Biden's Last Stand: The Twilight Moves of a Defiant President

Never heard that. Maybe not a SE UK thing. -
Maybe four levels of "farmers" Large landowners, often who rent to tenant farmers and whose land has been passed down generations, although often NOT as long as you think Few trace their title/Landholdings to the Norman conquest period. People buying land for inheritance tax avoidance reasons. Gentleman farmers- farm is large enough they can pay others to do the work. single family small farmers. Labour have got it wrong with the tax and it's level on these - it will cause non viable farms to be created on the death of the current owner if inheritance tax is applied. It will then be parcelled up and sold to people who buy farmland like Bill Gates who visited Starmer around this period, as did Fink of Blackrock. I have personally sat in a meeting with the head of the Family office of a billionaire UK resident who was buying farmland. What were working farms in my youth now already are not. Wheat fields are subcontracted out to corporate farmers. Part of this is the non viability of the old small farmers 'bit of everything' model against large farms specialising.

I really don't think I need any help from someone like you. Different values. When I temped at the CPS there was a case where a child was sent to the uncle for a haircut and after uncle cut his hair he bent him over the stool and sexually assaulted him - this came to light when teacher asked the kids what they had done over the weekend. I remember the calamity at court, the relatives in attendance couldn't understan why he was in the dock for this and were asking the Imam how this could be. So, if I had a small child I would not trust for him/her to be around any Indian subcontinent/Afghani Muslim I didn't know well, even though it might only be a small minority with the values on display at court. Do you know how popular "dancing boys" are in Pakistan/afghanistan. US troops were told not to intervene despite the screams.

She is just stating her experience in the first. Judging by the number of grooming convictions and an estimated 250,000, maybe 1m victims, perhaps her father knew something and was trying to protect his daughter. Groomers hung around school gates FFS. What is going on here? It looks very suspicious, a teenage girl passed out in the back. Mods: If this breaches any rule can you delete just the vid, and not my writing. I pasted it and now can't delete it leaving just my writing, nor can I start a new post with just the text without it still being there in the old one because we can't delete a post. Lorelle is making the point in the second that Muslims seem to regard any woman who isn't covered up or who isn't Muslim as fair game. This does seem to be the case - if they tried to groom women in their own Muslim community the family would probably kill them, so they go after the easy meat of non Muslim girls - victims fathers can't even report the crime for fear of being the one arrested. Also the reported in court abuse hurled at these girls by the rapists seems to confirm extreme disrespect for white girls. It is not racist to say how things are. My sister who is 63 told that when she was early tens 13/14 Indian subcontinent men would approach her in the street and try to talk to her. Is that racist to recant? I don't see anything racist here, just an accurate statement about the behavior of a material number of member of the Pakistani/Bangladeshi Muslim community in UK towns. The figures show a highly disproportionate number of rape convictions in the Muslim population in some towns. So, I don't see anything racist, if you are going to apply the political word and say I am "racially stereotyping", that is a reflection of your political position. If I had a teenage daughter I would tell her not to use Pakistani/Bangladeshi taxi/uber drivers, because whilst the large majority are very decent men I am sure, there is a higher than normal risk with this group, based on ACTUAL CONVICTIONS. You haven't addressed my other points about the research, preferring to hide behind some tweets you regard as racist rather than the points made about how the "research" was literally a perversion of the facts for political ends.

'twitter account with a very disturbing timeline filled with dog whistle racism' That is just a view that is a reflection of your obvious personal politics. Can you please point out some examples of this 'dog whistle racism'. The fact is someone can do a credible analysis but has no control over the comments. BTW, peer reviewed is not what you probably think it is. Have you studied science formally ? Perhaps you would like to give a critique of her points that led you to dismiss it, or have you so completely dismissed it, seemingly based on comments, rather than the analysis itself. I went through what she had written as someone who was taught data analysis as part of a science degree/finance and it seems credible to me. Others can make their own judgement based on what she writes, rather than a supposed 'disturbing timeline filled with dog whistle racism' The Guardian is accepted as a source here despite the fact that it accepted GBP319m from Bill Gates. In wouldn't think I was getting unbiased "reporting" from middle aged journos terrified of losing their job if The Guardian folds if it isn't accepting donations like that. What was their stance on vaccination? Remind me.

Desperate Russians using wooden logs for protection
mokwit replied to 3NUMBAS's topic in The War in Ukraine
Also doesn't understand that this is an extremely SPECIFIC to Israels situation example, and armies spend their money depending on the tradeoffs and what war they expect to have to fight. Russian equipment used in Ukraine was largely designed for fighting as part of a large force on the German plains. Also armies can have completely different philosophies and priorities depending on all kinds of situations that affect decisions on how to equip. All kinds of cost and tradeoff decisions are made. Israel is a small country surrounded by larger population countries mostly, so just like Germany in late ww2, the focus is on crew protection. l already stated that the expectation of fighting in a built up area like Gaza, not the German plains would justify armoring the most 'at risk' APC's. This is why Israel, and I think ONLY ISRAEL, developed the anti missile machine guns for mounting on armoured vehicles - because that is what fitted the war it expected to fight and e.g. population considerations. as I said, I can't be bothered to reply to him anymore, but will answer anybody elses queries on anything I post. -

He doesn't know what propaganda is and how it fools people like him. Literally a photo of APC and a lorry with wood tacked on and he thinks the Russian army has collapsed. Note they put it on a TRUCK. trucks are generally not used for assaulting enemy positions, but they are used to bring up supplies for armies My best guess is that due to the RECENT RUSSIAN RAPID ADVANCES the supply trucks have to go through areas with pockets of Ukrainian troops left stuck there by the advance, so non frontline vehicles* traveling to the front have to protect themselves from attacks by feral Ukrainians, who likely have hand held anti APC level weapons like RPG7s. We don't see any wood on any footage of tanks. In ww2 the territory between the Normandy beaches and the front line was referred to as "Indian Country" due to left behind pockets of German soldiers shooting at trucks taking supplies to the front. SO: what he thinks shows Russia is losing is more likely a reflection on the success of Russia's advance. *the APC is the old model BT1, which would likely not be used in the front if newer models were available (the propaganda is they use the old models because all the BT2 have been destroyed already). -
No, I just can't be bothered to look for a link from my X feed. I skimmed through it and felt the author and the analysis/points being made were credible. People can make a judgement on what I say based on their judgement of me as a poster. I skim through a very broad front of things for my own interest and don't @nally save links for posting here like the "Link Brigade". if I can easily locate a link/source I post it, if not people can make a judgement as to my credibility based on my previous posts. This demanding of links is a tactic of those on the Left as much of the accepted media is left biased, so demanding links means they are at an advantage as their points can be supported by propaganda accepted as a veritable source. OK I wrote the above thinking I hadn't bookmarked the link, but I did so here it is BUT what I say above still stands. Presumably some will say as this is not from the Guardian it isn't credible.

I would have thought that proved my point. As per the Grok answer, it is sometimes fitted to "at risk" APC's. Israel is hardly a good example as any Bradley used in urban areas like Gaza is at extreme risk from RPG7 and the Hamas developed hollow charge personal anti tank rockets. They are fitting it to "at risk" APC's as per the grok answer there are multiple reasons why it is not normally fitted, but you are highlighting THIS ONE example from a different conflict which is a different situation as somehow proving a point. You think you are making a point but you are not making any point at all. Seriously, just stop replying to my posts this is the third time I have schooled you in 24 hours and each time you come back with a non answer. After I have left this here long enough to be sure you have seen it I will put you on ignore. Others on this web board can judge for themselves as to which of us knows what he is talking about and which doesn't. I am happy for them to make that judgement for themselves. -
Most crimes are not murders, murders represent a tiny fraction of crimes and domestic murders are a high percentage of murders, so you would expect higher percentage of murders within family groups vs a group with a higher proportion of single males. Quite possibly immigrant criminals* gravitate to other states where the state is softer on crime. With "research" from an organization with an agenda you have to be very careful that there hasn't been cherry picking which is then defended by framing the cherrypicking as being done to make the ensure the methodology was robust. There is nothing "bigoted" in noting that immigrants who are not at the lower threatened socio economic strata tend to be pro immigration, especially from countries where extended families are the norm. It seems to you that an observation that you don't like is "bigotry" I seem to remember myself and others tried to explain to you about surveys and how they can be distorted and what data you need to be able to judge the validity, but it went over your head. *let's be clear, many are decent people looking for a better life.

So what? Do you really think that proves anything? One study by an institute with an agenda, in one location, and no analysis of how they got the numbers, what their definitions etc were. I am sure there are other studies that show the opposite. What about crime other than murder, like theft, robbery rape? why are they focusing solely on one crime, because it gives the slant they want? Seriously, posting ONE study just makes you look "unsophisticated" to anyone with any training in data/sampling/statictics etc. Grok: The Cato Institute, adhering to its libertarian principles, generally advocates for more open and liberal immigration policies. Here's a detailed look at their stance: Open Borders: Cato often promotes the idea of significantly reducing restrictions on immigration, arguing that free movement of people can benefit both the immigrants and the host country economically. They advocate for open borders or at least a much more open immigration policy than what is commonly practiced. Economic Benefits: The institute frequently publishes research highlighting the economic advantages of immigration, such as increased innovation, higher economic growth, and contributions to public finances. They argue that immigrants contribute more in taxes than they consume in government services, countering arguments about welfare dependency. Civil Liberties: Cato supports the rights of immigrants, including undocumented ones. They argue against policies that infringe on civil liberties, like mass deportations, workplace raids, or restrictions on legal rights. They often critique laws and policies that they believe violate individual freedoms. Refugee Policy: On refugees, Cato tends to advocate for more humane and accommodating policies, arguing that the U.S. should uphold its historical role as a sanctuary for those fleeing persecution or conflict. Legalization and Pathways to Citizenship: They have supported amnesty or legalization programs for undocumented immigrants already in the country, suggesting that these individuals should be given a path to citizenship or at least legal status, arguing that this would be more beneficial than enforcement-only approaches. Criticism of Restrictions: Cato frequently criticizes restrictive immigration policies, border enforcement strategies like walls or increased militarization, and policies that they see as xenophobic or unnecessarily punitive. They view these as not only ineffective but also contrary to American values of opportunity and freedom. Integration and Assimilation: Rather than fearing cultural dilution, Cato often points to evidence that immigrants assimilate into American society, contributing to cultural richness and economic dynamism.

'Foreign investors are so spooked by what Starmer has done to the economics of the UK they wouldn’t loan us money today until we paid them interest of 5.21% , higher than in the Truss days and the highest for 27 years.' Labour are now borrowing GBP 297 at these rates to fund their spending which they are planning to do at an assumed growth rate of 2% PA when the likelihood is less than that or even contraction due to their policies. So, they will have borrowed but the tax funding to pay the interest and principle won't be there. This is Labour every time because they don't get it that economic growth doesn't 'just come' like their public sector and Union salaries did. Their policies halt growth because nobody risks their money to hand over the profits as tax. They did it in the '70's and we went bankrupt even with N Sea oil and had to go cap in hand to the IMF like a 3rd world country. Their incompetence and unworldliness is staggering. Cue the GBP22bn Holeohoax™, 14 years of Tory rule, and as noted by another, the Daily Mail given as the cause.

unfortunately the poster doesn't know the difference between a Tank and and APC which is what the top picture shows. So how can we rely on this info? -

Russia uses reactive armour on TANKS, not Armored Personnel Carriers (which this is), which do not have it BY DESIGN. They also tend to have thin armour to improve mobility. Same applies to Western designed APC's One reason APC's do not have reactive armour is because if it is hit and explodes it could kill or maim any disembarked troops in the vicinity. They are TROOP CARRIERS. Are you Ukranian or just not informed? I'd put you on ignore but you make me laugh. -

Not only that, according to western media they have already run out of artillery shells, they have lost all but a handful of their tanks and all their trucks have flat tyres (but somehow manage to bring up the rotten food rations). There are some very "unsophisticated" people here who just accept one sides propaganda as the truth. -

On TANKS, not Armored Personnel Carriers (which this is), which do not have it BY DESIGN. They also tend to have thin armour to improve mobility. type: 'why don't troop carriers/Armored Personnel Carriers have reactive armour?' into Grok for a detailed explanation as to why. Many APC designs have firing ports for crew protection from infantry with RPG's. The US Bradley has a specially designed port firing gun for example.
