This word currently the word with Lefties who get their "thinking" and talking points from Leftie Central. Didn't we hear Stalin Starmer use it yesterday? -
it included 'a dam', the land 'secured' just happened to include 'a dam' Israel previously did not have access to water from which provides for approximately 30% of Syria’s fresh water supply, and 40% of the fresh water supply of Jordan. So why were they so concerned? They also seized some heights that would be militarily useful - what was the benevolent thinking behind that? GroK: Israel did not previously have access to water from the Al-Wahda Dam, which is a joint dam between Syria and Jordan. However, recent reports indicate that Israel has taken control of the dam. According to information from December 2024, Israeli forces seized the Al-Wahda Dam as part of military operations in southern Syria, thereby gaining control over this water resource. People can judge for themselves which is the most likely explanation as to why Israel now controls the Al-Wahda Dam. Anyway, posting here is like trying to engage with one hand tied behind my back, I would probably be better off posting more on X where 600 million people worldwide can potentially see my posts, rather than a handful of retirees and Teachers.

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-e&q=Is+al+wahda+dam+now+controlled+by+Israel You could have googled it yourself, but I bet you weren't expecting it to be in the public domain, were you? The lack of Western MSM coverage is striking, only celebratory Jewish sources. 2 pages on Google and I can't see the usual 'approved source' names, why is that? I can back up many claims to my own satisfaction but anything other than from a narrow range of approved sources is not accepted here. I came across it in my X feed from someone I regard as reliable. So you are right, I can't always back up my sources, but that is not because what I am saying is untrue. It is pretty obvious from some atrocity footage who is committing the atrocity and who is the victim. It was all over X, but that has recently been censored, so even Israeli soldiers posting what a fun time they are having in the 2nd Nakba is being removed. I posted it not for your benefit, but so that others can see what Israel is really doing. We are being asked to believe in another post here (not you) that Israels actions were some kind of humanitarian aid to neigbouring countries rather than seizing control of water resources.

Wiki. The Syrian banks of the Yarmuk on the border, as well as the Syrian half of the dam, were captured by the Israel Defense Forces on 17 December 2024 during their invasion into Syria.[6] "Israel took control of the Al-Wahda Dam on the Yarmouk river reservoir near the town of Al-Qusayr in Syria’s Daraa Governorate on the border with the Kingdom of Jordan, which provides for approximately 30% of Syria’s fresh water supply, and 40% of the fresh water supply of Jordan", reported Israeli journalist Amir Tsarfati.[7] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Wehda_Dam You can superimpose the location dam from this with Israeli territory here. https://tsionizm.com/news/2024/12/18/israeli-invasion-of-syria-map-update/ Jewish source: https://www.jfeed.com/news-israel/son5ct While I'm here: https://tsionizm.com/analysis/2024/12/09/greater-israel-is-being-born/ Couple of points on replying to you: 1) I have previously made serious points and you have commented facetiously on them so I don't feel under any obligation to reply to you. You also made a facetious comment on another members post where he expressed concern regarding murder of civilians. Your (and others) aggressive 'Israel can do no wrong' bias is obvious. It is pointless engaging with you other than to educate other members. 2) Not every source I am looking at is mainstream media, which is censored/controlled/biased in many Western countries - it might be phone camera film on X - particularly with atrocities.

You are confusing a Government that had the power to control non EU immigration but failed to, with a situation where Merkel could invite the whole world to the EU and once they had EU passports they could all head for the UK without our being able to control it.

The Kinnocks did very well out of the EU.

She will go down in history as that bitch who ruined Germany. Currently it is the older generation who sees this, but as things get worse it will be the young indoctrinated/idealistic Germans who wake up to reality. Apparently in some areas it is becoming increasingly unwise for young women to go out alone, we see the huge Islamic processions etc. Sounds like a young guy. Is it my imagination or does she give him the finger?

Yes but they are a small number, but growing. 230,000 Muslims in Japan, representing approximately 0.18% of the total population. The increase in the Muslim population is largely due to immigration from Muslim-majority countries and some Japanese conversions to Islam. Regarding mosques, Japan has seen a significant increase in the number of mosques over the last few decades. From just 15 mosques in 1999, the number grew to 113 by March 2021. Once they get the numbers up I am sure Japan can expect the same thing as the UK. I remember in the '70's when the current affairs program Nationwide ran a piece explaining how a small group of Muslims just wanted to have a Mosque so that they could practice their faith. The playbook is well known.

Liberian Duo Arrested in Bangkok for $90,000 Gold Scam

As they were below value he probably thought this was par for the course. You don't get bargains like this going through licensed channels you know. -
Giant energy prices make it difficult for long established large companies to survive. Production will move to countries where there isn't a fantasy that you can power an industrial economy with windmills. As for von Der Leyen, her contemptuous laughter when a Polish and another Euro MP voiced concerns felt by large swathes of the EU population (the ones that don't live in leafy suburbs) shows her true colours.

Popular belief has it that it helps some US politicians directly. Hardly a gift from Israel if it was US money washed back.
-
Apparently Israels "buffer zone" in Syria has "coincidentally" captured a large part of the water supply in Syria.

The owner can make a very large difference, but it is still a breed still being bred as a fighting dog, and anyway how do you stop Pitbulls being bought by inexperienced/incompetent owners? Friend had a Staffordshire Bull terrier bitch - lovely dog. Just stood guard over his kids all day. They were bred for fighting up until the 1930's, and probably have had much of that bred out of them, but one day I saw it with it's jaws clamped on a stick held up high and saw how it started rippling its body in a way that would have resulted in a bite sized chunk of flesh being pulled out if it had hold of a another dog/human.

Precision weapons with no risk of civilian casualties, right? Are they all personally signed by American politicians? Yes, it is structured as a sale, but then again where will the money come from to buy them? Biden gave Israel $4bn as a gift at the start of his Presidency, but they have probably spent that by now and anyway, popular belief has it that some of that got washed back to the US.

Does your Thai wife or girlfriend ever foot the bill?
mokwit replied to BarBoy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I imagine with a wife like that you must have been pulled to the very bosom of the village. People sitting at the restaurant call you over and before you know it food and drink have been ordered and everyone is having such a good time that your wife feels she really should pick up the tab. -

It's good you kids don't refer to her as 'the Thai'. When you borrowed all that money against your land with each new loan to pay the interest on the old ones, you probably weren't thinking it was something you could tell her about, but when she saw you moping around and she asked why you suddenly weren't happy, and you explained how could be happy when you had "big ploblem cannot talk about", and she asked what it was and you told her and how you would lose the land she built your house on.......
