  1. Pure arrogance. Spit and steal. I have no time for this woke nonsense about mental health. This is what happens when you catch and release this self-entitled narcissitic individual. He coontinues to cause problems with impunity
  2. I couldn't agree more. This childish 2-5 pm rule is a major inconvenience and serves no purpose. People with drinking problems will adjust and make this rule meaningless.
  3. Exactly what I was thinking. The author of this article comes across as a sanctimonious know-it-all, never done anything <deleted>. Just my opinion.
  4. Cause of Thai pollution "cost-effectiveness and convenience" . Rather than spend money on cleaning up the pollution, Thai government perfers to wate money on immigration and other goverment institutions who make life difficult for foreigners and ordinary Thais alike.
  5. Second altercation? Rediculous! How many altercations before he is detained and charged. We don't need a third altercation where he injures or, even worse, kills someone. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, the hotel room photo of this idividual screams "Deport, Deport, Lifetime ban!!"
  6. Illegal land ownership, operating a business without a license, tax invasion. What possibly could go wrong? I repeat what possibly could go wrong? Considering the money they were making from the rentals, these people knew what they were doing and knew they were breking the laws. Little sympathy for the predicament they find themselves in.
  7. Agree. The renting from a obnoxious landlord or landlady is under the control of the tennant. With abundance of rentals, one can argue that the "obnoxious" tennant has the upper hand. Just saying.
  8. I recently bought a condo in Bangkok from a motivated seller. Happy with the condo but I agree wih the article that there is the dark cloud of building deterioration due to lack of maintenance fee collection. Going through a major project of replacing the galvanized steal water pipes, management on right track but strong arm tactics required to get all condo owners to pay their share. Caveat emptor!
  9. Man baby! Show his face, shame him and then deport him life time. A real no hoper.
  10. Ironical that the US treasury is accusing Thailand of currency manipulation after Trump introduced tariffs making Thai products more expensive and, as a result, weakning the Thai baht. Just saying.
  11. I was in Myanmar. Rented a room on booking.com. Hotel room safe broken. Stored money in locked bag. Left early morning for day trip. Returned in afternoon to find lock broken. Money missing, family-run hotel had hired a part-time cleaner (regular cleaner sick), Part-time cleaner caught by police in transit between provinces. Money reimbursed. I wish this ends well for the finnish tourists, hope its just a case they misplaced the money ... stranger things have happened (smile)!
  12. "Many community members are urging the police to take firm action. .... such actions could send an inappropriate message to visitors" You goota be putting me on .... seriously? ... thousands of girlie bars in Pattaya and you are worried about an inappropriate message getting out. I love these hypocritical local-morons who hang around Pattaya to make a baht.
  13. "The incident’s location and timing remain unspecified. She expressed concerns for the safety of both locals and tourists, criticising police and officials for their perceived inaction." Sometimes I wonder if these "woke" articles are generated by AI. Since when should officials and police provide a safe environment for illegal activities.
  14. My rights. My freedom. My body. I know my limits , you don't. Ok, you made your point Dr. Google. In this Utopia of unregulated narcotics the government , society and family are expected to pick up the mess left behind by the druggies. I am expecting an overwhelming negative response from the pot heads who can't last a couple of days without their medical-nutrtion fix.
  15. From reading this article all I see is a crazy couple. I mean really CRAZY!! This couple, especially Mint, are spending way too much time at the police station. They need to get away from the police as far possible, What's this I didn't get a receipt for my bribe. Are you serious?? Crazy.
  16. If the individual has mental issues and needs to be on meds to function, it raises the question shoulld he have been allowed to get on the plane in the first place. Regardless, fine and deport with long time travel ban to Thailand. Looking after a howling gun-waving tourist in a congested area that could lead to unforseen negative events is not the problem of the host country.
  17. You missed on high returns. Really? Drive around Pattaya and Jomtien and take not of all the empty lots ready to be developed. Currently, no shortage of condos for sale or rent in Pattaya. Supply far exceeds demand. Known many condo owners, over the years, who have owned for 10+ years were lucky to get their money back.
  18. Restaurant owners and staff are complete idiots. I mean real idiots! Accusing customers of being murderers of children and then playing the victim game by threatening to call the police for assault. No understanding of Thai defamation laws, culture or immigration. These idiots do not understand they are guests of Thailand and can be deported on a whim by immigration. Total childish idiot behaviour.
  19. Very unfortunate. Painful lesson for such a small amount of money considering the charges. HIs life just got turned upside down. Snoopy, the more than likely bad guy, is making his way out of the country.
  20. What's this "Shame Him"? For 44 years-old he doesn't look too bad. Are we a little jealous? Ok, all you obese self-righteous old farts press that red button down
  21. Why the prestigious position of foreman, why not a worker? Ok. Your'e right he's too old to be worker, I doubt he would last 10 minutes.
  22. "The incident occurred on the Phuket Bypass Road, drawing swift outrage from locals who demand legal action. " Outrage from whom? Certainly not from me! In the remote chance this statement is actually true, I think these "jealous" people demanding legal action need to get a life. The type of people who say "If I can't get this kind of action, neither should you".
  23. Here we go again, the currency wars. How about focusing on providing better services than artificially making services cheaper by means of devaluation.
  24. " casting doubt on tourist behaviour and visa-free entry policies." Seriously. Do you think adding a small entrance fee into Thailand will prvent this type of behaviour? This social media BS about visa-free entry policies is from people who don't want tourists in Thailand. What's that saying, "Thailand is for Thais"
  25. The dumb ass hit the car not once but twice .... what a loser! Thinks he's judge and juror and took the law into his own hands in a foreign country. No sympathy for this narcissist baby adult. Thinks he can walk into the middle of road and take control. Okay, all you newbies to Thailand hit that red thumbs down button.
