  1. I make 37 transfers a year from my Wise borderless account in the UK to my BKK bank account in Thailand.

When I make a transfer, Wise tell me how much it will cost, how many thb I will get, the forex rate (which will be frozen until the transfer has been completed), the time and date when I can withdraw the funds from my BKK bank account.

It also shows up as a an FTT in my bank book and on the BKK bank statements.

I have had my Wise and BKK account running for nearly 7 years and only 1 small problem in the first year (easily sorted out with the Wise help centre.

Reform have pledged to make big savings on the net zero scam and deporting illegal immigrants and also stopping the invasion of illegal immigrants.   If they have any sense then they will also remove any and all benefits for all foreign nationals that have not made at least 10 years worth of contributions.   Thats a lot of savings potentially.

Labour had 14 years to prepare for this and have demonstrably failed to manage the cost of their promises, kept or unkept, in their manifesto.   They are taxing more and spending more (causing lower growth) than the last government and since they only are able to attract the adult equivalent of student activists into the party they are finding it impossible to make the needed cuts.

Why do you hold Reform to a higher standard than Labour?

Although an election must be held in 4 years, IF Labour decide to call for an election then an election can be held in less than that 4 year period.

IMHO they would be foolish to do so, but the choice is theirs.

As an Alternative, King Charles has the authority to dissolve Parliament, though I cannot remember any monarch ever doing so.

  3. Back in the 1960s the QRA alert was for 2 aircraft fully fuelled and armed, on the QRA pan 24/7/365. That meant 2 aircrew and 1 ground crew team per 8 hour shift. Highly expensive in manpower and airframe time, as most of the time they were never called out.

The nearest Thai airbase to the Myanmar border is at Nakhon Sawan, and is less than 100km away. I estimate that as about 20 minutes from the scramble call out. That assumes of course that there is 24/7/365 radar cover along all the Myanmar border.

5 minutes is a tad optimistic for an alert status, especially as Thailand is not officially at war with anyone, but possible sometimes.

It was a phone call not a meeting. I have heard the original telephone conversations and read the translated transcripts. Seems pretty verifiable to me. But of course it will not to you.

I have heard is not proof of anything. I have heard many things in my life but that certainly does not mean that they were all true.

BTW. This is a public forum where anybody can post, so if you don't want to read my posts, you can always put me on your ignore list.

Agreed. I checked the hols out when Wise told me it'd take till Wednesday to get through. My landlady was OK with it. I really don't feel the need to check public holidays before I have to make a transfer. Maybe it's crucial for others.

I only check once a year, usually in Devember and save the bank/public holidays fo the following year.

It helps with Immigration as well.

No facts or links needed the whole world Knows But Nothing gets done about it .

You got Facts and links to prove otherwise ? No , than shut up.

But facts or links ARE needed for proof.

The onus is on you to back up your words, not me.

You claim it, you own it, you provide the links and and facts.

And FYI, NO, I won't shut up.

Not really. She tried on behalf of the Shinawatra family not the country, hence calling Hun Sen  uncle while throwing a Thai general under the bus. Lots have done more than her, her aunt, or her dad. All they have done is pilfer what they can from the country. Even you must see she is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

And you know and have proof of this how exactly?

Were you present at the meeting or do you have first hand verifiable information.

Do tell us all where your gem of information came from?

After all, anybody can write anything on the social media, but proof of the allegations is a lot harder to get.

PM's Conversation with Cambodian Leader Sparks Corruption Probe.

Nah, corruption  that wouldn't be possible , would it ? that the PM and her Criminal  Dad Thaksin  are corrupt .

    Yea For Sure.

You make a lot of noise but never seem to be able to back it up with facts or links.

Do you actually have anything that you can take to a court and be proven beyond reasonable doubt?

Been getting a lot of timeouts on ASAEN over the last couple of days.  No other sites affected.  Cloudflare Error message says it's a Host problem at your end.  I'm in Thailand, using Singapore VPN if that's relevant.

I had one this morning from 10:00 to 10:07. I was in the middle of responding to a post using Chrome as my browser, when the AN Now site just locked up. The only way I got it back was to close and reboot Chrome.
