    Since you posted it's virtually a done deal for Trump. Only 3 needed, and Alaska is a red state. I think the numbers for Trump were just too huge to cheat.

    Yes, it's great news. Hopefully Harris vanishes into the dustbin of history along with Pelosi and the rest. I feel like we have been saved from a great calamity that Harris would have brought us. Talking of Harris, is Obama crying now? Even his wife couldn't save a lost cause. Next screening of the View should be interesting.

    IMO Western civilization is doomed anyway. Even Trump won't be able to stop the end, but he might delay it for a while. No civilization that invites the enemy in has survived. People have forgotten how the Roman empire ended. We are repeating it.

    Ukraine war should never have happened IMO, and why are US troops in Europe anyway? Cold war ended a long time ago. Even the Brits packed up their BAOR units and went home. The US has been living on debt for too long. Someone has to sort it.

    It's party time in the Kremlin, but in Kiev Zelensky is likely contacting a smuggling gang to get him out. So long as he doesn't mind going by small rubber boat he should have a warm welcome from Starmer.

    That's right, he needs 3 more for the fat lady to sing. It would be the most extraordinary event in history if he doesn't get them. He's ahead in all the states left and Alaska is a red state. I thought it was going to be weeks for the result, but seems like it's all over but for the singing.

    Hire a camper van and tour the south island. It's far more scenic than the north island. Unless you go on an organised tour the accommodation prices will scare you, so a camper van is the way to go. You need transport anyway as public transport is a very bad joke in NZ.

    I'd say there are a lot of folk in federal jail for January 6 that are hoping they'll be out in January. I hope he does keep his word on that.

    Right now there are a great many people worrying about their future in government employ, and a lot of people in European governments wondering how it will be to deal with a man they publicly reviled.

    I said before I was wondering if Biden and Jill were celebrating tonight. I don't think he would have won though. There is no coming back from that debate.

    Wonder what she is going to do now. The woman so disliked that being a "black" ( LOL ) woman that isn't Trump wasn't enough to win the election. Not only has she lost the election, she lost the popular vote as well. If she isn't humiliated she has no shame.
