I think the poster you quoted could be right. She probably thought she could do it after being a do nothing VP for 3 1/2 years, but the reality may have frightened her- being the one responsible for possible end of the human world by nuclear war and having to make decisions about conventional wars and such like that were made by others before, plus the thousand and one things that a POTUS has to deal with would be daunting for anyone.

He's obviously setting up the excuse for their defeat next month. It's all the founding father's fault ( I bet if he would blame Trump for it he could ).

Just to inject a bit of realism into it. The Russians destroyed the German military to the point it could be defeated in Europe by the allies, and Britain was essential to provide a port for the Americans to invade Europe and destroy the German military there. It's possible that without the Americans in Europe, the Soviets could have defeated the Germans in Europe as well, but then the Soviets would have ruled all of Europe that had been ruled by Germany and Italy. I don't think that would have been a good outcome. You might want to read up on the Soviets in Afghanistan, as they were not defeated by the mujahideen ( you seem confused as the taliban did not exist then ) , but Gorbachev decided to leave, which was probably the best decision he made.

Not just geographically distinct from israel, it's not and has never been part of modern israel. It was excluded in 1947, and has never become part of israel since. It might have been possible for Trump to have a quick wander over the border in the past without official notification, in the same way as western tourists to israel didn't get an official israeli stamp in their passport, in case they wanted to go work in Saudi, which banned anyone with an israeli stamp in their passport from entering. I'm not saying he did, just that it might have been possible, but probably not as POTUS.

She couldn't even get ahead of Trump when she was slid into position and had the bounce, and as time goes by the mistake is becoming more and more obvious. They should have waited till nearer the election to kick Biden into touch. The way it's going Trump may not even need an October surprise to win. I expect the Harris supporters to get ever more desperate to attack Trump, given there isn't much they can do to improve the candidate.

Maybe they are not going around smiling, or laughing, but I never got the feeling they wanted to beat me up just for being a white guy. Just being content with life beats being constantly angry about everything, as I see all around me now.
