  1. Call me naive then. I'd rather be naive than see perverts and child brothels everywhere.
  2. It won't. IMO it's a mental condition, and people are as addicted to it as drug addicts are to hard drugs. No matter the laws, addicts keep using illegal drugs.
  3. I'm pretty sure that if I wanted hard drugs I could find them pretty fast. The drug problem in NZ is massive and beyond the ability of the police to control. . Unlike child prostitution. That is so unacceptable to so many people that any attempt to set it up would be uncovered quickly IMO. I can't speak for other countries, but if it happens in NZ it is hidden so deep that no ordinary people would ever know.
  4. That era is basically over. Given that AI is here and that everything we do on the computer is monitored, it's a simple task to program the AI to block anything the authorities deem illegal. The facilities that house the computers that monitor us are huge and use massive amounts of power, as I saw on a documentary I saw. Of course that will change as tech develops- the size will reduce and the capacity will increase, though they may have to build new power stations just to run them.
  5. Not in NZ, They keep putting out "messages" all the time on the radio that it's not over yet and we need to get yet another booster to add to the 12 the sheeple already had. Sarcasm alert for the easily offended.
  6. For someone that is supposed to be clever he seems quite dumb. For starters why would any of us on here care, as we will likely all be dead in 25 years? He seems to assume that nothing will have changed in a quarter century ie science will not have developed the ability to develop new vaccines rapidly. I'd be surprised if humans even survive that long without an engineered bioweapon war, a nuclear war, or simply die from thirst because all the fresh water dries up. He should do us all a favour and stop making OS that are not supported 25 minutes after release so everyone has to buy a later version that is worse than the one before and requires an update every 15 seconds.
  7. Seriously. Child prostitutes? You obviously know more about it than I. I've lived in more than a few countries, but "child prostitutes" never showed up on the radar, not even in Thailand, and if not there, then where? I'm happy to say that I have absolutely no idea where to find such.
  8. Thank you for that. Over two decades in nursing and worked as a nurse in 3 different countries- NZ, Saudi and the UK. Stories indeed, hundreds if not thousands. Unfortunately there are as many horror stories as happy ones and not many comedies ( a few to be sure, but rare ). Nursing is not for the squeamish, or the easily offended. In NZ I met very few male nurses, and to be honest I didn't tell the guys in the military that I was going to be one as I'd have been mocked mercilessly. It wasn't till I got to the UK that we males were not uncommon, though very much a minority. Saudi was the most interesting what with the culture and everything, and I understand that nurses from at least 28 different countries were working there. No such thing as a Saudi nurse in the 90s, or at least that I met. Sorry to disappoint, but being a male nurse is not some avenue to endless sexual hijinks as per "Carry on Nurse" or Carry on Matron". Nursing is hard work, for little reward or thanks, and most of what nurses do is unseen by patients, so if ever in hospital, a thank you to the nurses is appreciated.
  9. and thanks for the E C as they are likely to be in states that will vote for her anyway, and the popular numbers are meaningless in the presidential election. Individual voters in every state that is going to vote for her could outnumber Trumps numbers in states he wins in by 100 to one, and he can still win.
  10. The west is ruled by the too liberals, at the present time. Fixed it for you. If the recent elections are anything to go by, they are going to be swept away like the flotsam they are, by a tsunami of outraged voters.
  11. No problems in my lane, and I'm capable of reading the rules concerning attacking other posters, unlike some on here. Meanwhile your preferred candidate is still not well ahead of Trump. You must be concerned that he may yet win the prize.
  12. Nah, it's just evening up the playing field. Everyone knows Trump's down side, but we have yet to hear of most of the dirt that she, IMO, is doing her best to hide. The world needs to know the dirty secrets that the potential next POTUS is covering up.
  13. Hmmmmmm. On my nursing course as I was the only male and male toilet facilities were not provided ( hardly any males in NZ ever considered nursing as a career ) I had to share the toilet facilities, and I wish I had not had to.
  14. How so? Did you not know that women can do anything? I Am Woman Song by Helen Reddy If I have to, I can do anything I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible) I am woman
  15. Shades of Monty Python. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_Clinic
  16. That's an extremely PC question. Have you ever had experience of what happens when a few women are confined with a large number of alpha type males to a small area? I have and it's not something to be desired. In my experience it's usually harder for the females than the men, unless they have ambitions of being a queen surrounded by courtiers. Since the forces started admitting women to more than the typing pool there have been many reports of the inevitable problems that eventuates from putting men and women together for a long period of time. Perhaps they should make it all female crew, and see how it works out.
  17. I had thought she had at least some intelligence. Seems I may have been mistaken.
  18. This is what happens when people that can act or sing or play a musical instrument and gain a following think they are actually important, and even worse, their fans think they are important.
  19. Those familiar with Thailand will understand if I say that if they were not "seeking new opportunities in Europe" they would not face deadly risks on the illegal migrant trail. It's not the west's job to fix the <deleted> countries they flee from, or to solve the problems brought about by them overpopulating their own countries. They've been independent for a long time now- so it's up to them to fix their own problems.
  20. IMO it can't be long before western countries cancel any international agreements on migration and just stop them, deport them, and generally make it not worth paying criminals to transport them to the borders. If the present governments won't or can't, they'll be swept away in a voter rebellion. The fight back has begun at long last.
  21. IMO Trump's supporters recognise ( as do I ) that Washington can't be fixed, and hope that Trump will wreck the entire thing; raze it and start again. BTW, IMO Trump cares about America, and doesn't give a rat's bottom for the rest of the planet ( except israel, for some obscure reason. IMO if he can, he'll build his wall, close all the borders and build up America. The US has been there before, prior to the US entry into WW2, IMO.
  22. ? propaganda? Trying to scare the Russians that he will have the ability to hit deep into Russia. IMO for every missile they managed to hit something with, they'll get a reply several times larger. No wonder the US is so exercised about Russia's allies supplying missiles, if the allies don't have the manufacturing capacity. As usual, planning to fight the last war, IMO.
  23. Successive governments of all hues in all countries have been busily fomenting hatred between their citizens to ensure them a continued presence at the trough. It's a lesson learned ( I believe ) from the Romans- divide and rule- still works today. If they didn't have things like illegal immigration to distract, they would have had to invent something, like man made climate change or multiple genders etc..... oh wait.
