can you understand today's actors mumbling on tv?

I use headphones, but sometimes still need subtitles. One good thing about DVDs is that they mostly have a DVD option. -

May help explain climate change ... irrelevant come 2036
thaibeachlovers replied to KhunLA's topic in The Green Forum
while Antarctica’s known volcanism does cause melting, ????????????? https://www.auroraexpeditions.com.au/blog/active-volcanoes-in-antarctica/ At the moment, there are only two active volcanoes in Antarctica – Mount Erebus (due south of New Zealand) and Deception Island (south east of Cape Horn, South America). NB both on islands, not on the mainland. Erebus has no major glaciers on it and is NOT part of the icecap. There is a big glacier called the Erebus Ice Tongue, but it's not melting. It is floating and just gets longer till the end breaks off and floats away. I've spent a night sleeping in an ice cave at the end of that glacier. https://www.auroraexpeditions.com.au/blog/active-volcanoes-in-antarctica/ Edinburgh University compared satellite and database records, as well as measurements from ice-penetrating radar and geological information to find the hidden peaks of basalt rock. Ranging in height from 100m to 3,850m, the volcanoes aren’t known to be active, but could become active if Antarctica’s ice continues to thin with climate change. NB. NOT KNOWN TO BE ACTIVE -
Trump wins Iowa caucuses, cementing frontrunner status in 2024 race

The wall doesn't have to be built for the entire border, and the border patrol has to be paid for anyway, so not an added expense. Wouldn't be needed if they sent every illegal caught back over the border straight away, without the Mickey Duck legal BS. The message would soon get out, and attempts reduce significantly. Doesn't have to be the wall that Trump was building. Razor wire works, as long as the border patrol isn't cutting it to allow the illegals through. -

I disagree 100%. You need to prove that if you want us to believe it. It was a stupid idea promoted by Reagan, who apparently could hardly stay awake in meetings, and failed, as expected, after certain suspects minted it large. Reagan should have stuck to playing with his monkey. -

Pull the other one! I've seen him trying to speak on tv news and that's blatantly not true, IMO. -

From what I've seen on tv news, Americans in general are too "heavy" to be healthy, regardless of which party they vote for. -

LOL. The wall would OBVIOUSLY not be built in areas that are too inhospitable for most to reach. There is no excuse for it not being built in easily reached areas though. If the US stopped funding proxy wars there would be enough money to build it. -
Given MAD, it's irrelevant who pushes the button first ( and I doubt it is actually a button ).
-
IMO any war between Russia and any Euro country will escalate to MAD, and kiss your a** goodbye if in one of them. If survive will probably wish hadn't. See The War Game for some idea of what to expect.
-
IMO in the event of WW3 any farang that is of one of the warring countries will likely be interned, or expelled to home country. I expect Thailand to be neutral. Better have loadsacash as dreaming if thinking pensions will be paid in LOS or be able to use internet international banking.

As long as the US uses it's veto in the UN, nothing will happen, IMO. The israelis will likely just ignore it. -

IMO Biden has been shown to be either an israeli glove puppet or completely irrelevant in the Middle East. The US has destroyed forever the notion it can be a neutral mediator there, and the script is being written by israel and Iran, not the US. The US has been reduced to the status of reacting to events, and trying to cobble together some sort of alliance. I can't even imagine them ever being able to get the sort of allied force together like Bush the elder got against Iraq. -

While you are 100% correct, who will enforce it? The western nations will not, the Arab states likely will not, the PA would be unable to. Ideals are great, but need to be realistic. IMO eventually all Palestinians will leave or die, in the face of western hand wringing, and Arab state indifference, Middle East chaos will continue and no israeli will ever be safe outside israel. -

The 12,000 or so children the israelis blew to bits with American bombs were not trying to kill anyone. However, IMO the kids that are left when it's all over will grow up with the desire to kill israelis. The israelis are sowing the wind and will reap the whirlwind. -

Indeed.Unfortunately I would not expect Trump to do anything different to Biden if elected. He didn't do anything to help Palestinians last time.
