  1. I'd say the chances of a terrorist attack on Americans is 100%, but that it won't be in the US. Far easier targets in other countries.
  2. There you go again, with fatuous remarks that add nothing to the conversation and are completely off topic. I won't put you on ignore because we all need a laugh now and then.
  3. No funding at all for Ukraine then? Oh dear, oh dear oh dear. Is Zelenski feeling a cold breeze down his back? So much for saving the world from the evil orcs.
  4. I do try not to respond to baiting, so I will not be responding to that.
  5. Sooooo, if it's minor issue that will not impact the trial very much why put her up there at all? Sounds like prosecution dirty tricks at work to me.
  6. Yes indeed, the 1% are doing very nicely out of death and destruction. They must be luvin' it. The US taxpayer not so much.
  7. Say whatever you like about what I say, but comments like this one are not acceptable But there is plenty in your posts as a collective to support the view that you are an apologist for Russia's actions in Ukraine. ............................................. I have been direct in stating my disagreement but I do not believe that I have been offensive towards you personally. Claiming that I support dictators and invasion is an implied insult, so please cease and desist from the personal comments unless I am the topic.
  8. Not looking good for Ukraine. As I have been saying for a while. https://apnews.com/article/ukraine-aid-congress-money-russia-e8cf1bf75fc67a6126aee8b15b0a16d4 The lack of progress by Ukraine to push Russian forces back has created an opening for some members in Congress to question why the U.S. should keep sending money. A hard-right flank of Republicans, led by former President Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner in the 2024 race for the White House, is increasingly opposed to sending more money overseas. That faction was pivotal in getting Ukraine funding stripped from the last-minute 45-day funding bill that prevented a shutdown. https://time.com/6319238/government-funding-bill-ukraine-aid-dropped/ Voting in the House this past week pointed to the potential trouble ahead. Nearly half of House Republicans voted to strip $300 million from a defense spending bill to train Ukrainian soldiers and purchase weapons. The money later was approved separately, but opponents of Ukraine support celebrated their growing numbers.
  9. Given by the demonstrations in London and Paris, seems they have already failed, at least in the eyes of their citizens. If not careful, history will not be kind to them.
  10. I do believe that if israel released all the Palestinian prisoners Hamas would release the hostages, but I don't know if Hamas thinks israel would actually do that, so it may very well be as propaganda. Whatever, Hamas has made the offer, so now the ball is in israel's court. If netanyahu agrees he will be attacked by the hardliners and if he doesn't he will be excoriated by the hostages families, which are already attacking him. Rocks and hard places comes to mind.
  11. Umm, I think if a government declares a war it would be "legal", but there are certainly rules about how they are fought and bombing hospitals and schools etc are war crimes, as is intentionally targeting civilians.
  12. Surely we already know why US poodles are inactive?
  13. I see we have a real humanitarian posting! With opinions like that it's no wonder the human world is fast rotating to where the sun don't shine. Perhaps they should, then the resulting radiation will destroy all the israelis as well, so no Palestinians, no israelis- problem solved. ( For the benefit of some, no I don't actually think it would be a good idea. )
  14. What are you smoking? There is no cease fire now or before October 7. Every day brings a new assault by the israeli army or settlers on Palestinians. You can't even get the number of rockets falling on civilians right. Most of them were destroyed by Iron Dome.
  15. Try to pay attention to what is happening. Hamas has offered to release all the hostages for all the Palestinians in israeli jails, as seen on Al Jazeera.
  16. and not apparently whatever Hamas does, israel does worse. https://www.savethechildren.net/news/gaza-3195-children-killed-three-weeks-surpasses-annual-number-children-killed-conflict-zones Since October 7, more than 3,257 children have been reported killed, including at least 3,195 in Gaza, 33 in the West Bank, and 29 in Israel,
  17. link? It's apparently been disregarded as fake news for a long time now, and last time I looked it wasn't proven either way. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/10/12/middleeast/israel-hamas-beheading-claims-intl/index.html The Israeli government has not confirmed the specific claim that Hamas attackers cut off the heads of babies during their shock attack on Saturday, an Israeli official told CNN, contradicting a previous public statement by the Prime Minister’s office.
  18. Yes, apparently. I might look it up on google later, but certainly reported on Al Jazeera. If I can't prove it with a link at the time I put an IMO or apparently.
  19. Ah yes, the brave settler heroes that attack unarmed Palestinians, destroy their property, and injure them, all while protected by the army. Done to chase the Palestinians off THEIR land, while the government is arming them to do even worse. israel can be proud of such brave men, for sure. An example to the world of israeli culture.
  20. You dreamer you! Anyone that thinks if they released the hostages israel would actually stop the bombing is IMO mistaken ( being polite ). Apparently some members of the government have said they want to make Gaza uninhabitable. They don't say what they want to do with 2.3 million Gazans, but I have an idea of what that involves, though I can't say it on here.
  21. Every time netanyahu opens his mouth, he loses support from people around the world. Keep it up bibi.
  22. I've said before on this subforum that the "war" would be exported to attack soft israeli targets around the world. Happened already, when, according to Al Jazeera, a mob broke into the Dagestan airport, hunting for israelis after a plane from israel was reported to be landing. Not looking good for israelis outside israel, and it's going to get worse as long as israel embargoes Gaza and keeps bombing them. Just heard on Al Jazeera that the chief prosecutor of the ICC has said denying food etc into Gaza may be a war crime. The tide is turning against israel, due to it's blockade and bombing. The world has been watching.
  23. I was thinking about this topic and realised that I don't know any "swoonworthy" people. They must be a rare breed.
  24. Trump wasn't in charge when the exit fiasco happened. That belongs completely to the man in charge at the time.
