  1. IMO you confuse self with thinking only about oneself. I'd never start the search for self, given it's too hard, but I try to understand the concepts.
  2. I never understood why he didn't. That would have been a poke in the eye to the Washington establishment.
  3. Leave articles about the benefits of nudity lying around. That might relieve your boredom.
  4. To be pedantic, black and white are not colours. Google tells us Some consider white to be a colour, because white light comprises all hues on the visible light spectrum. And many do consider black to be a colour, because you combine other pigments to create it on paper. But in a technical sense, black and white are not colours, they're shades. They augment colours.
  5. I agree with a lot of that, but I believe that Britain has never grown enough food for a very long time. NZ and Australia made a good living shipping food and wool etc to Britain till Britain joined the Common Market.
  6. Agree. He's probably more fulfilled as a "kingmaker" from the sidelines.
  7. Indeed. If they don't find something to indict him on before the election that chance may just vanish. That's why I'm surprised they are so reluctant to do so, but perhaps they are keeping it on hold till just before the election.
  8. If that is true, it shows IMO that US politics is really broken. Is there nobody among Democrat politicians other than him that would win against Trump ( or even against some other GOP candidate )?
  9. Because he boring? Whatever one says about Trump, he's not boring.
  10. If one wants to know about the "bottom", try and find someone that lived during the Great Depression of the '30s. I grant that finding such might be rather hard though.
  11. Perhaps then, the goal is not to increase demand. IMO the sooner AI takes over government, or at least financial affairs the better, given every government in my lifetime has resulted in things getting worse for average Joe, and wonderfully for the rich.
  12. Even a bad joke is something to laugh about in these fraught days.
  13. As always, whether they are good or bad depends on which side has the loudest voice.
  14. Indeed. He did us a great service and the aftermath is shameful for the US government, IMO. It doesn't pay to embarrass the US government, as another unfortunate has found out to his cost.
  15. Thanks for that, so at least I can assume I wasn't hacked. However, never seen it before and didn't do anything different today. I was already logged on, and never went near the search function. Obviously my IP address isn't flagged. Software glitch perhaps?
  16. Nah. LOS is not boring. Where I live is.
  17. It was traditional before "marketing" was a noun. Cream teas are also traditional- yummy.
  18. IMO a nuclear response would be unlikely. It would not be an attack on the US or a NATO country. A nuclear response likely lead to all out nuclear war.
  19. You don't say if it's on THIS website. First time happened to me and I didn't use a search engine. I was already logged on when it happened.
  20. You reckon there is a "worse" when nuclear missiles used? Even if not a single Russian missile was fired a nuclear devastated Russia would likely affect Europe/ the world. For starters, probably no more food or fossil fuel from that country. Anyone thinks a nuclear war has a winner should watch The War Game, a 1966 movie about the aftermath in the UK.
  21. No struggle. The founding fathers recognised that a few states with large populations would be able to elect a president ( with a simple popular vote ) that most of the states ( with small populations ) didn't want, so they created the Electoral College to even things up. If US presidents were elected by popular vote today, the populous ( Democrat leaning ) coast states would outvote middle America ( GOP leaning ) states every time.
  22. That movie also has a scene where any Russians trying to retreat were machine gunned. They were only given one rifle between ( I think ) 2 soldiers, so the one behind picked up the rifle after the first was shot.
  23. I received no notification that this would happen and nothing on this subforum about it, so was I just hacked?
  24. Pigmentation is a different thing than such as evolution from pre humans to humans. Easily explained as the only ones that survived to breed were darker ones.
