I'm shaking my head in amazement that anyone would think that would actually work. Assassinating Putin, or Kim ( a Chinese protege ) would lead to war. How many innocents would die in that event. OF COURSE they ain't assassinating country leaders, and if that became a thing, how long before it's the POTUS or the British PM etc etc etc? I have to wonder what sort of world views some poster have- certainly not based in reality, IMO.

If referring to plumber's hemp, you be lucky to find that anywhere now IMO. I have a jar full, but I got it in the 80s. Thread tape is usually good enough though.

He's probably referring to the threaded connectors for the taps. You'd have to be mad to glue taps.

If you can do DIY you can do household plumbing. I did it for a few houses belonging to the family. My experience of Thai workmen is that I had to redo everything they did anyway. My BIL built an outdoor bathroom and the basin outflow didn't work, so I dug it up and found that it ended in the ground, with no way for water to drain away. He also forgot to provide a water supply for the shower, basin and toilet, so I had to drill holes in the wall and replace the tiles. He also omitted to provide a wire for an inside light, which was also omitted, but that's a different topic.

Irrelevant. If a populace that isn't involved in the actual fighting is suffering financially they will demand that the money be spent on them and not bullets for somewhere else. Anyway, so long as the west doesn't escalate the war, there is no reason to think WW3 will eventuate.

Destroying the Russian army Are you having a laugh? It was a long time since the Russians had a major conflict, so they had to learn the lessons all over again. They'll learn, adapt and re arm. The tanks and other equipment they lost were probably old and not very good, and will be replaced by upgraded and better ones. Russia doesn't have any problems with conscription, so feet on the ground will continue, and they have a much larger population to conscript from than Ukraine.

It surely has to be only a matter of time before western taxpayers demand an end to massive amounts of their money being used in Ukraine despite no end in sight, when their countries are in financial strife. All Russia has to do is dig in and wait. Happened before when the US gave up on Sth Vietnam and let the North have it. IMO will happen here; just a matter of time.

Not necessarily. Same as Macs etc that provide free sauce in a pump box but give tiny pots to put the sauce in. Can fill as many times as you like for free, but a hassle to do so. There was a fish and chip place in Pattaya that advertised free refills of tartar sauce, so I went there to eat. Unfortunately the ( farang ) owner was such a <deleted> that I never went back.

While I agree with much of what you wrote in that post, decreased birth rate is a good thing. There are far too many people on the planet and we are destroying our nest. Sadly, the population keeps increasing in countries least able to employ them. BTW, if men had to bear children the human race would have died out long ago as being pregnant is not pleasant and child birth hurts a lot.

Sadly I do not think wokeism will vanish any time soon. I hate rap with a vengeance and when it emerged in the 90s I hoped it would be a passing fad, but sadly it stayed and even morphed into more antisocial noise that <deleted> play at deafening levels in public places. If he employs a saucier to make sauces on the premises it might be acceptable, but just buying commercial sauce it's taking the mickey to charge 2 quid. Anyway, it's not just places like that- I've bought a Macs burger without realising they were going to charge me per sachet! Apparently different Macs can do so if they wish. After that I took to taking my own bottle of sauce with me. Perhaps it would be worth a one time visit to the OP place just to make a production of using my own sauce to rub it in his face. Guy I know bought a takeaway and provided free tomato sauce- got heaps more customers because of that.

Are you actually saying that you think assassination squads are a good idea? Would you think it such a good idea when it morphs into assassinating people you don't want assassinated? How about when someone decides that posters on AN with the "wrong" opinions need to be assassinated? 500 years of civilisation and some are advocating taking us back to the dark ages. Rather sad IMO.
