  1. Mine are all anime ( Violet Evergarden etc ), which would be of minimal interest to most farangs. Far as western series go: The ones that I just had to watch ( most of the ITV stuff- Morse, Frost, Poirot etc ) in no particular order. Blake's 7 The Avengers, but only in black and white, went stupid in colour. China Beach. Many more, but the OP asked for 3.
  2. and yet governments IMO spend sod all on mitigation of extreme events. The Japanese are the only ones I know of that have built sea defenses.
  3. Agree 100%. I loved Pattaya, but I wasn't blind to the problems caused by city hall. One benefit was that the <deleted> infrastructure made it unpopular with bagpackers and families.
  4. It's always on the peasants to do their work for them. I'm not a fan of the IRD.
  5. The only reason I wish she was still PM is that she would guarantee a labour/ green defeat, and I'd love to see her humiliated, but I guess she saw the writing on the wall and jumped before she was pushed. I was also wanting to wear a MAGA hat (Make adhern go away ). 3 days to go and there is no guarantee that labour politicians still in parliament will all be able to fit into the clown car. Even the possibility that they can cobble a coalition to stay in power is a nightmare. Time for the junk to be consigned to the dustbin of history ( and that's from someone that used to support Labour, but that was long ago ). IMO they abandoned the workers and went for mad ideology over sensible policies after Lange was backstabbed.
  6. Perhaps they could take the opportunity to visit Malaya then. I'm sure they'll get a warm welcome.
  7. Israeli tourists have long been regarded as unfriendly. I went on a van trip to Kanchanaburi in the 90s with a couple of israeli men and was very uncomfortable. More recently, I went on a tour of Belfast. The guide was a Catholic and an israeli woman was telling him how she identified with the Catholics in their fight against English oppression. The look on his face told the story though. IMO israelis should not proclaim their identity in public in LOS, as it might not result in a favourable response.
  8. I worked with many Phils women and they are just as bad as western women when it comes to relationships, IMO. I did meet one exception though, but it wasn't meant to be.
  9. While I agree with you, don't include me in "we". I've always been opposed to establishment over reach, and do not agree with any of the current IMO insanity in financial and societal activities.
  10. Perhaps it comes down to proof. If you can prove the money comes from savings then not taxed in LOS. If can't prove it then taxed.
  11. I've been saying for some time that it's only going to get worse, and not only in Thailand for farangs. Everything is getting worse, not better, IMO. Government agendas and leading firms, including banks, are increasingly dominated by one world government bodies such as the United Nations and intergovernmental panels. Fixed it for you.
  12. Some UK politicians certainly think so. Seems chanting is now a criminal offense. Shame on her. October 10, 2023 4:38 pm(Updated October 11, 2023 9:21 am) Home Secretary Suella Braverman has written to all chief constables in England and Wales asking them to consider chants such as “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and waving Palestinian flags in Jewish areas as criminal offences. 13. You need to think before posting. That doesn't make sense. Did they "slaughter israeli babies", or is that propaganda? The Israelis are actually slaughtering Gaza children, as seen on television. The world is watching.
  14. and it's so easy to make fun of the bumbler in chief. When he was trying to look tough when making his "with israel all the way hey hey hey" speech he could barely get the words out he was mumbling so much, and what is with the slit eyes? He looks like he needs a bilateral blepharoplasty.
  15. He didn't "go around boasting about grabbing women by their p***y" in public like Biden has with the kiddie comment when it was in public. He said it in a private conversation that was not intended for public broadcast. Many men have said something like that in private. Next.
  16. Yes. IMO they are waiting for the ground attack, and will be ready for it.
  17. LOL. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/06/28/california-population-decline-costs-of-living-state/70363036007/ Nearly half of California residents are considering leaving the state, a poll finds. Many cite the cost of living as the main reason why.
  18. He would not be the first man to be wrongly convicted.
  19. I try to tailor my questions to be along the lines that the likely responses will be like.
  20. Comes across as a nasty piece of work, willing to drag her own family down.
  21. I agree with all that because I've been saying that for ages. No sane person that loves his family will seek to be part of that morass.
  22. Just caught a bit on Al Jazeera of some British politician visiting israel. A bit ironic seeing as this entire situation was created when the British ran away after attacks by zionist terrorists after WW2 and left the UN to take Palestinian land and give it to the zionists. https://apnews.com/article/israel-britain-foreign-secretary-d6abf89576da2e0f9ac565514238a71d JERUSALEM (AP) — The British foreign secretary, James Cleverly, arrived in Israel on Monday for a three-day visit to a country in turmoil, facing its biggest protest movement in history and heightened violence in the occupied West Bank. Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen hailed Cleverly’s trip as important for deepening Israel’s ties with Britain, which he said “are currently at their peak.” Sooo, no support for peace from the peace loving British then. They abandoned the Palestinians post WW2 and they are still abandoning them now.
  23. Have they called up Andy McNab to lead them?
