Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
Making it up again! I say that it's not proven that human activity is causing it in any significant way. I also say that I've seen no solutions to the problem that are affordable, doable and affordable. So far the tax tax tax mantra is BS IMO. I've asked you for your solutions, but you never give me any and then you complain when I don't answer your questions on a different subforum.

Getting used to live in a wheel chair
What has his age got to do with it? You think it's too old to bonk? I feel sorry for you with that attitude.

Getting used to live in a wheel chair
DIY is never guaranteed to work properly, and one may end up alive but worse off. If it comes to that I'd go to Switzerland if able.

Getting used to live in a wheel chair
I lived with a paraplegic for a while. She started a wheelchair dance group which was great fun. I knew loads of wheelchair users through the paraplegic organisation, and got to be really skilled in using a wheelchair myself. Wheelchairs are a problem in Thailand as getting around is a nightmare, so I can't suggest anything other than getting in touch with the Pattaya orphanage ( Father Ray's ) as they have loads of wheelchair users, to see what options are available.

Trump said the judge in his New York civil trial “has gone crazy in his hatred,”
As does asking questions that you know I'm not going to answer, because they are personal, off topic, abusive or baiting.

Trump said the judge in his New York civil trial “has gone crazy in his hatred,”
Add Democrat party and I'll agree with you.

Yes you do.

You'll need to quote a "congressman that declares an overwhelming case against Joe Biden" as I'm not aware of any such.

Not a great solution but I have put a strip of cardboard across my screen so I can't see it

It's annoying, it's annoying, it's annoying and I want it to go away. This is not the way to make posters want to be on here. Please, get rid of it!

Pleas to end the suffering in Gaza are growing louder, but neither side actually wants a ceasefire
At least I can agree with that part of the OP. IMO if that is their aim, and what proof exists of that, they are succeeding. Even if the governments of America and Britain etc are in boots and all to the israeli slaughter, their citizens have other opinions. The longer the massacres are shown on the tvs of the world, the faster western governments will no longer be able to ignore the outrage. https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/gaza-peace-activists-chain-themselves-to-u-s-ship-at-oakland-port/ A large demonstration calling for a ceasefire in Gaza was held at the Port of Oakland Friday as activists attempted to prevent a federal ship from leaving the port. A banner displayed at the protest read, “No US military aid to Israel.” .................................... The crowd chanted, “Oakland Port blood on your hands,” and, “We charge you with genocide.”

Hundreds of Hollywood celebrities praise Biden’s handling of Israel-Hamas war
Given the constant rise in dead Palestinian children, one wonders how long before those "celebrities" realise they are not on the right side of history, and start walking back their praise for a POTUS obviously not serious about a "pause" let alone a ceasefire. Meanwhile in the UN a speaker has stated that israel IS committing a war crime. As seen on Al Jazeera. Not so long ago they would not have said that. Looks like Hezbollah is going to get involved if the attacks don't stop, cue Iran and the wider conflict that America is so eager to prevent will be all on.

‘Nastiness, arrogance and misogyny’ of No 10 exposed at Covid inquiry
That guy likes insulting posters that don't agree with him. I had to put him on ignore a while back it was so bad.

Israel's options don't look good - but a full-scale military campaign in the near future is inevitable
Agree with you. What some don't understand is that Hamas fighters are probably prepared to fight to the death, as they know what will happen to them if captured. The israeli reservists are probably just wanting to go home. It's different attacking an enemy that fights back, than what they experienced when bullying unarmed Palestinians under occupation.

Strikes on south Gaza: BBC verifies attacks in areas of ‘safety’
At least they are there to report what is happening, and in many cases getting blown up as well. Would you rather believe the israelis?

Have you made up your mind about who is right and who is wrong? Or are you ready to admit that often it's not so easy.
He may not have had an opportunity to start his own, but hasn't he supported every war the US started in his very long political career? He is certainly right up there with netanyahu, and how many billion US taxpayer $ has he thrown at Ukraine? Never mind, if Iran gets too stroppy he may have an opportunity to use those 2 super carriers he sent over there.

Given IMO most of our problems have been caused by governments I'm not a fan of career politicians and especially not of bureaucrats ( that ruined my life ). As I don't think we have real democracy, I was quite supportive of him disrespecting the version we have. If he actually understood how "it" works, he'd have been just another waste of space politician. The whole point was that he wasn't a part of the establishment, didn't know how it worked, didn't care how it worked, and did what he could to poke a stick in Washington's eye. It is a shame that he couldn't accept losing though. It's been so well documented because he allowed pretty free access to journalists, unlike the present incumbent that doesn't even want to have a press conference where journalists can ask questions.

Any MIG welders in Chiang Mai that can show me the basics?
DIY learning is the best option, given the skill level exhibited by the shower that my wife hired to weld gate hinges. The gate fell off the next day as the clown hadn't cleaned the surface first. I welded it on myself.

Foreign Tourist Attacked by Hostile Youngsters in Pattaya
Just to be pedantic, Rome wasn't "stopped". It became so rotten from within that the mercenaries the Romans hired to protect them just took over. Somewhat like the current situation in our civilisation!

Foreign Tourist Attacked by Hostile Youngsters in Pattaya
I don't believe it was for no reason. IMO there will be a reason, but seems the victim doesn't want to say what it was. I've only seen three assaults on farangs in all my time there. One was a farang moron in a Nana gogo that got beaten up for abusing a girl ( he deserved it ), a farang guy that p***ed off a bar girl in Pattaya, and a farang with a bar girl that was pursued into the restaurant I was in that must have done something to make the guys chasing him angry. Apart from that the only times I felt unsafe was from drunk farangs.

TDRI Urges Government to Implement Carbon Taxes in Response to Global Warming Challenges
Carbon credits/ tax has to be the most blatant scam ever perpetuated on humanity by the 1%, in my opinion. Unfortunately the sheeple have been brainwashed by the non education they get to think it's a great idea. If they were serious about pollution they'd ban all leisure flights, all private planes, ban private cars in cities, ban those big superyachts, go nuclear power, and mandate solar on every roof. That they do nothing about the simple solutions indicates to me that it's a sham.

Fertility crisis set to halve Thailand’s population in six decades
It can't be worse that the ( expensive ) non education that was inflicted on me, and the youth of today seem somewhat uneducated, IMO.
