  1. Who are you to decide who is a quality tourist?
  2. Before Thaksin, there were no bars along Sukhumvit, as the gogos were open longer, and dancers didn't look for customers outside the bars.
  3. New arrival? You don't seem to know much about it with that opinion. 4am is just going back to what it used to be before Thaksin's henchman tried to destroy farang nightlife. I used to frequent a gogo that was open past dawn, and it wasn't the only one by far. In Pattaya there were always bars open 24/7.
  4. If they are sending Iron Dome missiles to Israel which has had to defend against thousands of rockets, are there enough for the US to continue supplying Ukraine? The US has to keep enough for it's own defense. Since the israeli/ Gaza conflict started the news about Ukraine has stopped.
  5. Had Israel never been created by the UN do you think the same problems would have happened? I do not. Ban Islam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck telling the 2 billion Muslims that their religion is banned. Are you volunteering to tell them?
  6. Things are not looking good economically for israel. The thousands of reservists are not working now and they need to be paid. Tourism is dead. Will the US taxpayer have to prop up israel? Oh dear, what a shame. https://www.calcalistech.com/ctechnews/article/hysk3zxba From a macroeconomic perspective, this latest war has threatened the Israeli economy and society in a way not seen since the Yom Kippur War in 1973 https://www.timesofisrael.com/war-with-hamas-to-cost-israel-at-least-nis-27-billion-bank-hapoalim-projects/ The cost of the war between Israel and the Hamas terror group is estimated to be at least NIS 27 billion ($6.8 billion) as of now, according to initial projections by Bank Hapoalim. https://www.timesofisrael.com/shekel-tumbles-to-7-year-low-of-3-87-against-the-dollar/ The weakening Israeli shekel took a further dive on Wednesday, dropping to 3.87 against the US dollar, its lowest rate in seven years.
  7. Is he willfully blind to the impending invasion. Does he think they are just going to leave after destroying everything?
  8. I missed the name, but agreed with what he had to say. Given I'm opposed to the war since the beginning I want funding to end. I'd prefer there had been no money from start as much of Ukraine would not have been destroyed and many lives saved. IMO it will end with land being ceded to Russia anyway, so all pointless. It's hard to claim any success for the Ukrainian summer offensive- a few villages is not winning. Now the Russians have all winter to prepare for next year's offensive.
  9. Inconsiderate <deleted> morons that like to abuse others with their <deleted> noise are the curse of modern life.
  10. Why is the default position of the intolerant that some of us couldn't attract a partner in home country? Most of us did and came to regret that we did. I wish I hadn't been able to attract a western partner as I'd have had a happier life.
  11. In Saudi I had a western supervisor that converted to Islam. He got annoyed when I called him by his Christian name. Changing his religion didn't stop him being an idiot.
  12. IMO all women are the same, wherever they come from.
  13. Lemmon was OK, but Walter Matthau always irritated me.
  14. 8/ Horrid parents that stick their sprogs on a seat when adults are standing.
  15. Unfortunately the nasties are everywhere, so it's difficult to avoid them now.
  16. The world is populated by millions of unpleasant, nasty, inconsiderate morons. Is it any wonder that I want off it?
  17. The day that many of us have been hanging out for has arrived. Fingers crossed the junk gets dumped today.
  18. LOL. Trump was elected to poke a stick in the establishment's eye. Why would he voluntarily comply? Biden is the epitome of the establishment.
  19. Hopefully that situation will change when biden gets dumped in the election and the GOP occupy the W H.
  20. Al Jazeera reported that some Gazans were killed by bombing as they attempted to use the "safe route" to move to the south as ordered by israel. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/live-blog/israel-hamas-war-live-updates-rcna120252 70 killed after convoys of evacuees in Gaza hit by Israeli airstrikes
  21. Agree. Wars are often about making money out of other people's misery.
  22. If certain posters wonder why I don't respond to their posts quoting me, it is because they are on ignore. My ignore list is growing quite fast since this conflict happened.
  23. Just watched israeli mobile artillery firing on Gaza ( on Al Jazeera ), which puts the lie to israel's claim of only firing on Hamas targets. Mobile artillery is not a precision weapon. Meanwhile the West Bank Palestinians are becoming restive. Settlers are reportedly killing Palestinians, backed by the israeli army. The flash point of Al Aqsa is full of israeli soldiers- what could possibly go wrong with that? The world is watching, the world will not forget.
  24. The Russian ambassador to the UN is speaking and pointing out the west's hypocrisy regarding Ukraine vs Gaza, which is well founded. He also said that the situation is the fault of the US that uses it's veto to protect israel, which I agree with. Unlike the peace loving americans, he says that Russia is calling for a ceasefire. So far, no official american has called for a ceasefire, that I have heard.
