  1. I watched the israeli defense minister speaking ( translated ) on Al Jazeera talking about how everything is going to change after. One has to wonder how it could get any worse for Palestinians ( and I'm sure that they will extend the "new reality" to West Bank Palestinians despite them not taking part ) than what it already is. One can surmise as to that reality will be, but not on here as would be deleted. One also wonders if the brave israeli pilots dropping bombs on defenseless women and children will be given a medal for their heroic actions? Scenes of Gaza look like something out of the movie "The Pianist" of the destruction of Warsaw after the uprising ( ironically of Jews in the ghetto ), The attack on Gaza can not be described as "war". It's just destruction of residential areas from safety far up in the sky, against a defenseless population. The phrase "shooting fish in a barrel" comes to mind. The power station in Gaza has run out of fuel, so there are only generators now, and once they run out of fuel hospitals will have no power. The world is watching, but seems the peace loving leaders of the EU, the US and the UN are turning their backs and covering their ears while this atrocity unfolds on television. Can't see evil with eyes closed, can't hear the screams of dying children with ears covered.
  2. How could anyone possibly know that? Did they have a poll while the bombs were falling? What I do know for sure is that most if not all in Gaza hate israel, and thousands of Hamas supporters are being created.
  3. Didn't someone say that truth is the first casualty of war?
  4. Won largely by luck. Had more Exocets been successful the navy would have been sunk. I remember the conflict well. Apparently Thatcher over ruled all the generals who were not in favour, given as how it could so easily go wrong. That doesn't detract from the bravery and fortitude shown by the Paras- real hard men.
  5. How do do they use kids as shields when it's great big bombs from far up in the sky killing them. You think the pilot can see all the kids from way up there? Some of them were reportedly killed in their beds.
  6. Give it a rest. I gave you the answer already.
  7. Ah the old "any atrocity is acceptable if it's israel doing it" scenario.
  8. It's 160 dead Gaza children now.
  9. First time I saw Barbarella I thought it was fantastic. Watched it again a while back and it was total junk.
  10. Are you for real? I was referring to that which the woman carries around for 9 months. I never even mentioned "children" when I was talking about a parasite.
  11. If you were on the God thread and didn't notice any post from me saying I believed in God you can't have looked very hard, given the number of posts I put on it. OK only one God, but not the same version as what God does, or doesn't do. Apparently you believe in a God that cares about us- I do not. God created the universe and then let us get on with killing each other.
  12. That's worth 2 years imprisonment, is it? That's not just annoying, that's bat **** crazy BS.
  13. Of course wokism affects us. When the government loves to introduce woke policies it does affect us.
  14. That's because those people make my life worse. The other horrible stuff going on doesn't, as it's far away. That sort of stuff has been going on all my life, but I wasn't personally involved. Taxing me for an unproven theory makes me PO.
  15. Probably Priscilla, Queen of the desert. Mentioning Oz made me remember one of the best movies I have seen- Picnic at Hanging Rock. A truly great movie, and the music was wonderful.
  16. Nah. After making a good show the first time netanyahu turned up, as I remember it he bottled the second time and gave him the big show greeting. I guess his "sponsors" had a word with him after the first time.
  17. They are taking a while to arrive.
  18. I don't often agree with you about Trump, but his Middle East policy was indeed a failure, though perhaps not for the same reasons as you may have.
  19. 55555555555555 Apparently we have another poster that thinks the 18th century was just like now.
  20. and the israeli apologists refuse to acknowledge the root cause that created Hamas in the first place. How would you feel if you were born into a prison camp and denied freedom? Would you be happy to accept your prisoner status, or would you fight back any way you could?
  21. Egypt colludes to keep Gazans trapped in the enclave, but I thought you would have known that. A growing population indeed, and they will all grow up wanting to kill israelis if something doesn't happen to let them have freedom, like you enjoy.
  22. I guess he couldn't use the "racist" card so it had to be "misogynist". Either of those cards are used when the usual suspects have nothing else to counter the story they don't support, like a reasoned argument.
